I had this weird idea for a fan-fiction, and now I want to write it, so here goes. Yeah.

The Enigmatic Flight

I came home after another long training session. The routines got longer and longer each day. As I lay in my bed, gazing at the stars, I heard my window open. A gust of wind blew through my room, though nothing seemed to be too disturbed. I felt myself being drawn out of my bed, toward the window...

I had heard stories that on nights of full moons strange winds like these "Carry the souls of restless Trainers pure of heart through the world and beyond". Like most legends, they ended up being true when proven by one of my siblings. It seemed like tradition. I haven't proved a legend yet...

Then I felt a great burden get carried off of me and found myself drifting off through the window. I looked back at my bed and saw myself resting peacefully as if I had never been training. As I floated out of my window, the shutters slowly closed and everything returned to normal. I looked up and saw the moon, a pale yellow contrasting against the blue night skies. Looking back, I saw my house and town. The still surface of the lake reflected the stars as birds returned to their nests to sleep and the Noctowl woke for their midnight hunt. I felt the nice, cool wind blow freely against myself as I drifted away from the town. I saw things out of the corner of my eye. Looking near myself, I saw a group of Drifloon, the eerie "Signpost of Wandering Spirits", floating by. They looked at me as I turned to them, and continued floating. Some of them seemed familiar. We all headed forward as the winds of fate carried us off through the beautiful landscape of the Sinnoh region.

We floated past forests, watching the nocturnal Pokemon go through their nightly routines, with not a single Trainer around. I was able to catch a glimpse of a tent pitched with a dead campfire near it, a solitary ember glowing. The Balloon Pokemon and I started to lower down into the forests, breezing by the animals. I saw an Ariados spinning an intricate web reflecting the moonlight, a Hoothoot sitting on a high branch overlooking his part of the woods, and Oddish laying around sleepily in the grasses. We rose again and I caught a glimpse of Sandgem and Jubilife. We were slowly joined by more Drifloon, which I realized were other Trainers caught in this breathtaking experience. As we floated through Floaroma Town, I saw an energetic Pichu bouncing around with his friend, a Pachirisu. A Trainer trying to keep up her midnight routine had fallen asleep and now rest in soft grasses. The wind picked up and we started drifting back towards Twinleaf. I was afraid that the experience was going to be over soon, but we floated past the town and near a sandbar. I took this moment to realize how beautiful the ocean was, reflecting the starlight like millions of tiny lamps. It felt like I had spent an hour in the air already, and I was not bored at all. We floated out to sea a bit before coming back inland, over Hearthome City. The Contest Hall stood silently, the banners blowing idly in the wind. I looked to the sides and found even more Drifloon had joined. The refreshing wind blew against my face, tossing any more cares I had away. The Drifloon and Trainers like me neared Solaceon Town. We floated around the Lost Tower as the souls of Pokemon looked out the windows and floated near, waving at us. I had never felt so peaceful in my entire life.

The wind picked up once more and blew us along to Celestic Town. As we neared Mount Coronet we also rose higher and higher. We circled the mountain once, twice, three times before we floated high above Spear Pillar. I thought this was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen until we rose a bit higher. Everything started changing color until I realized I was in the middle of an aurora. The entire Sinnoh Region was bathed in a spectacular array of lights, the moon and stars only adding to the spectacle. As I looked above I saw three comets fly by. We slowly started to float down towards Snowpoint City, where the wind was a bit lazier, but much cooler. I saw a Trainer asleep half in the snow, apparently unable to continue onward. I couldn't help but laugh at him, and I felt a pulse of energy through the air as the other Trainers and Drifloon did the same. We started to float towards Sunyshore City, which was not any less beautiful than any other area we had visited in this night. The wind started to slow down to a near halt, and we all turned at each other. This time I could see other Trainer's faces, able to tell who were Drifloon and who were like me. There was a bit of regret in our faces, since we all thought this was the end of our tour, but the Drifloon looked at each other knowingly, and the breeze carried us off away from the Sinnoh region, on through the rest of the world, into space itself, and other worlds I would have never believed had existed if I had not seen them myself.

End.

Wow, this appears much shorter than it looked. Anyway, I'm glad I was able to finish that. I was even able to take my time writing it, which I didn't expect.

Anyway, tell me what you think for my first real Pokemon fan-fiction.
