Read this if you want to know what this thread is about:

Spoiler:
So, Careful With That Axe, Pichu!'s attempted at making this an affective way to increase activity in Other Enteratinment, but it didn't go over well. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong as it seemed to me like a wonderful idea and really should have became a hit with the members who frequent this section as it's basically like an easy way to chat about something, sort of like the DCC, only with a set restriction to entertainment related discussion related to music, books, television shows, movies, and sports.

Anyway, I just thought I'd try to make this work again.

With all that said and done, this thread's purpose is to encourage small discussions that could go on in threads focusing on certain topics, but require no reply to. In this thread, say you post that you don't like a particular artist. The next person could go on and agree with you about it and a discussion can go from the artist, to what you don't like about the artist. If someone who does like that artist comes along, it can go from that, to some good things about it. Then, someone could change the subject of the dicussion (in a relavent way, like that artist may have been in a soccer movie) to something else; in this case, a movie or soccer.

If you would like to reply to this thread, reply in a way that's relevant to the current topic at hand.

I guess a good thing to do would bring up a topic to talk about. An easy way to start off would be to talk about the biggest thing at the moment; Star Trek.

Has anyone seen the movie yet? Is it good?

Those interested in expanding this discussion can bring up an actor involved in the movie and connections to other movies, or other accomplishments that said actor could have had.

Oh boy, the Star Trek movie! I've never watched the series before, so I went into the cinema not sure what to expect (well, I was expecting a whole lot of nerd, that of which I received from a group of them that was sitting in the cinema, laughing all the time, hahaha), but the movie was absolutely awesome. Very engaging I must say.

I've actually been seeing a lot of movies lately, and there's a whole lot more that I plan on seeing once they're released. I'm not sure if it's because I have more money + less things to do with my time, or if there are more movies being released that are applicable to my interests.

Yeah Star Trek was great.
I saw a bit of a Star Trek marathon on G4, and that's where a majority of my knowledge of the series comes from.

I just wanted Chris Pine to be more Captain Kirk-like earlier in the movie, as opposed to 3/4 into the movie. That's really my only complaint with the movie.

And Leonard Nimoy made that movie soooo much better.

Edit: I'm also kind of getting into The Office (US version). I've heard it's not nearly as good as the UK version, but it's still pretty good.

I've never really gotten into the Office. The first time I saw it, I turned the television on and it was the only interesting thing playing at that time, so I was forced to watch it. After a few minutes, I turned it off due to boredom (at first it was somewhat interesting, but not at all funny) and then went to bed.

The only shows that really catch my attention are Fringe, Hell's Kitchen, American Idol, Desperate Housewifes (XD), ABC Family shows, and Wife Swap as well as Lifetime movies... :X

I've always thought the Office wasn't that great. :/ I can never get into it. The only thing that ever interested me was Pam x Jim, but that was for about two episodes, then I lost interest again.

I have too many other shows to watch. I absolutely love 24 and Lost these seasons. Both were really good. Sad to see they're both almost over.

I've never been a Star Trek fan, so I didn't see the movie. I am a big Simon Pegg fan though; does he play a major role in the movie? Would it be worth renting on DVD just for that?

I've also heard the US version of The Office isn't that great compared to the UK one. I have watched a few episodes of the UK one and it wasn't very good anyway IMO... There were some parts where I sjirachied a little, but I prefer things that make be burst out laughing until I cry.

I know what you mean, Vendak. I never really got into Star Trek, but just watching the previews for the movie makes me want to actually go see it. It's kind of strange. I never wanted anything to do with Start Trek and when I heard that there was going to be a movie about it, I found it kind of funny how they'd make that a movie. But after seeing the previews, like I said, it makes me want to go see it.

...Not as bad as I want to go see 17 Again, though.

I don't see how anything could be better than the US version. The best show on television, imo. Michael is hilarious.

On the subject of sitcoms, what are everyones favourites?
My favourite American Sitcom is Frasier by far. I never really liked many American sitcom shows, but Frasier has always been one of my favourites. Fawlty Towers wasn't bad, but there aren't enough episodes. My all time favourite sitcom has got to be Spaced though, Simon Pegg was just hilarious, far funnier than he was in Shaun of the Dead imo.

OMG, I love that show, it's like my favorite show.

Does Nicola wind up with aids or some other thing after she got stabbed with that needle when giving the stalker pain killers?

Funny coincidence in Iceland they show Bold and the Beautiful before Neighbours and I know you guys are further then Iceland by a year or two, what happens after Brooke got raped, she was being rapped at the end of the show today, and I youtubed the next part (Where she's stabs, Andy, the rapist with a knife), what happens afterwards?

Frasier was Godly. I really like Scrubs, King of Queens and to a lesser extent two and a half men too.

SDKFJKLSJKLSG FAWLTY TOWERS omg. ;~; I was like raised on that show, lmfao. My family and I reference it so much that a lot of it just seems ~natural~ to us. Aaah, I love it. The Germans episode is definitely my favourite.

Frasier is another favourite, too. :] It's on TV all the time and it's one of the few things my mom, brother and I will all agree to watch. Since it had such a long run, it's interesting watching some early episodes and then seeing the character development in the later episodes.

I don't watch much tv otherwise. Lmao the only shows I like are dead, orz. :(

Faulty Towers!
Such an awesome show!
MANWEL! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I watch it the other week, such a British classic!
I am sad there weren't more episodes, but that is what the British do. They don't drag out their shows like the US >.>

Fraser makes me laugh too, as well as My Family. It is one of my favorite shows! XD
