Some Transition stuff I might want to mention in the first few Chapters there are indentions for paragraph later there isn't but trust me its not that confusing ^_^.

Chapter One - Pollution We Call Life
"Bored. Always bored. The world is in constant motion and in seventeen years you would think something meaningful would have happened. Still boring," thoughts raced through his mind like they did every day. He was in his geography class and the bell would ring in forty-five seconds. The classmates around him were chattering between each other about the daily gossip."Boring."

The bell was late. "Ten more seconds," he thought. Still it did not ring he was getting irritable. He looked at his paper he had to finish it before the week was over or he would have detention.

He raised his pencil and worked on the paper. Finished.

Two full minutes late. How odd. As he stood to turn his paper in he felt a tap on his shoulder and sat his half raised body back down to turn.

Her. The one person that made him smile.

"Hey Ghost, what ya do-in' ?" she had been calling him ghost since kindergarten because he was always so quiet. It annoyed him.

"Paper" he said showing it to her. Then he noticed something, a glint in her brown eyes that was not normally there. They were not looking at him however, they were looking out the window.

A large silver blade was lying on the ground and it was reflecting light. Out of the corner of his eye a man walked from a door on the first floor. He was covered in blood. He picked up the blade and examined it. He pulled a hilt from his pocket and held it to the bottom of the blade.

Another flash of light illuminated the already bright room.. Then it happened for the first time in his life he was not bored. Adrenaline pumped through his veins.

In what seemed like slow motion the man in the area where the sword had been was gone. A loud thump at the door told him exactly what he knew had happened.

The door flew off its hinges and the man stepped through. He had glasses that had a shine to bright to see his eye color. The blood stained shirt had obviously been white before because it was a dark pink color now. A goatee grew from his face and the hair was abnormally long.

He was looking strait at Ghost. Pulling the blade from his side he flung it toward Ghost.

Reverting to his instincts of survival he shielded his face with his arms. The blade cut deep into his skin, only to be slowed by the bone.

Ghost let out a scream and passed out.

He awoke in a dream like state. " You are weak," came a voice from down a tunnel towards his right. The tunnel was hollow except for the inch deep water and the drop coming from the ceiling.

"Who said that?" screamed Ghost running down the tunnel towards the sound."Where are you answer me!" his voice was cracking, it was a rare occasion of him to be talking this loud.

" Is it not obvious I am you," the voice answered back this time above him.

Ghost looked up and there he was, looking down on himself, but how? Was he crazy?

" Your not crazy. I am a part of you that has been dormant since you were three. You have no idea what it's like to be stuck inside of this dark sewer of nothingness," said himself reading his thoughts.

"So me getting hit was what let you loose?" replied Ghost.

"No the light did where do you think you got all the adrenaline from? A pretty light? Wow you are pathetic I thought you had A's in all those advanced placement classes."

"I do but how did that light unleash you?"

"Isn't it obvious that light came from the mind of the blade's personalities combining. The man must have found one piece and traced the other to your high school."

"So someone's mind was split into a sword? That does not explain how the blade got into the middle of the road where he picked it up."

"Oh dear goodness I have to explain everything!"
Chapter Two - The Explanation
"So now that I have to explain everything you might as well sit and have something to eat," said Ghost's counterpart snapping his fingers. Out of the air a chair appeared and in the chair sat an apple. The apple was bright red with no blemishes it still had the leaf on the stem. The leaf was bright green.

"Good apple," said Ghost sitting down taking a loud bite off the apple.

"O...k. Anyways the sword you saw was only visable to, that I know of. The man you saw was possessed by a demon. You were the only one that could see him. The reason you were the only one that could see him is because of your abnormally high sense of natural energy. He was only visable to you because he was a possessed spirit not person. I am not a crazy creation of yours I am your spirit guide , in a way of saying it. I know I am talking a lot but i need to cover the basics. Any questions?"

"What are you here for if you can't do anything?"

"Ah but I can. Now that I am connected to your mind you can summon my energy."

" Yea that flew in one ear out the other. Why would I want your energy?"

"Now you have a job."

"No I never filled out an application or anything."

The counterpart let out a quick chuckle, " Now your being stupid. You are now an exorcist. You must destroy rebel demons that don't want to stay where they were put."

"But why?"

" Because you can see them, and they target you, which by the way I don't get. A lot of people can see them but they don't attack everybody that looks at them funny o -, "

"Quit rambling on I get it, so how do I kill this demon so I can get this over with?"

" First I have to figure out your spirit animal. That is where you get your abilities from. I have to ask you seven questions. First question: Your family is attacked by a vengeful demon what do you do?"

" I protect them."

"Question two: Work well alone or in a group?

"In a group... even if I hate them all."

"Three: Preferred way of killing?"

"Quick and pain - filled."

"Four :," a small chuckle slipped out, " Fighting an enemy alone you are backed into a corner, there is no way to win, how do you escape?"

" I charge right at him. If he is cocky it will cause him to flinch and I will squeeze around."

"Five: What is your favorite animal of the given : Fox, Falcon, Lion, Wolf, Dragon?"

" The fox."

"Six: Will you use the given energy for good?"

" I can't promise what I can't Control."

" Good answer. Question seven...."
Chapter Three - Minus Human
"Question Seven: Are you prepared to die?" Ghost's counterpart finished off the round of questioning with a serious look on his face.

"What, no. If I end up dying, it happens, but I am not being anyone's bullet shield!" Ghost screamed back bluntly.

A smirk appeared on Ghost's counterpart's face. "You are the first to have this animal in awhile. It is rare but…. You are the fox. You are smart, can get of trouble fast, stick up for your friends, and understand other animals."

"I don't talk to animals."

"You do now"

"Here are the basics for your abilities, speed, flexibility, charisma, sly, powerful. Your three main elements are fire, water, and wind. Which, by the way, is extremely rare, I mean you were already quite rare just by having the fox, but to have three elements. Wow."

"Just let me kill the demon so we can get this over with!" Ghost had finally lost his temper.

"You aren't ready but ok."

A high pitched noise came from the end of the tunnel and a bright light appeared. Ghost got of the chair and tossed the apple core behind him. The light began racing towards him, and he shielded his eyes from the bright light. Then there was another noise, this time of a girl's scream, coming from behind him. He looked down at his arms the sword was still there and blood was shooting out in small spurts from the cut. He was sure it had punctured a vein in his forearm where he had blocked from hitting his neck.

"Stand up you woos I expected more of a fight," that voice sparked Ghost from his trance.

Ghost shifted to his side and tried to slip the sword out of his arms. After multiple pain filled tries it slipped out. All of a sudden the wet blood around the wound started to boil. "What's happening to me?" The wounds were going numb and skin was growing between them.

His wounds were healed.

Ghost stood and saw the figure for the second time. However this time there were distinct figures that were different. His eyes shown red, his back had ripped open and two wings had ripped through his skin. He truly was a demon.

"I am a Monarch Demon there is no way that someone like you can beat me especially if I am your first demon." The demon raised his fist and I formed in the shape of a spear and stabbed Ghost in the chest. As he lifted Ghost into the air a high pitched noise came from behind Ghost.

"Put him down! " A bright light blasted by Ghost and hit the demon.

"Ahh! What is this? It burns!" the demon disappeared.

"He will be back but you need to rest." It was Her voice.

"Huh wha -, "Ghost passed out.

"I told you that you weren't ready. You did not even know how to use your powers. The healing yourself was even an accident. Ha! "Ghost's counterpart was in front of Ghost in the dark tunnel once again. "Now are you ready to listen?"

Chapter Four - Already
Six Months Later

"This Demon is not powerful at all I can handle it on my own," Ghost grunted sitting up from below the tree where he was resting.

"Are you sure? You said that last time and came came back covered with cuts and bruises," replied Criss now alert. "You really need to quit thinking you are improving much because you are not. This one even feels stronger than the one that nearly killed us."

"I am fully aware of that. I think I finally know how to use my Pyron (Pyron means fire) technique, which as you know beat the one that nearly beat us."

"Just go. I am not coming to save you either. I hope you die," Criss turned her head and walked down the hill toward the park where the Demon was. She could at least get a good view.

"Love you too!" laughed Ghost over his shoulder running down the hillside.

"Watch for the rock!"

"What rock?"

"This one!" she grunted as she tossed the rock down the hill toward Ghost's face.

As the rock connected with the back of his head he tripped and rolled the rest of the way down the hill.

"You suck!"

Then he saw it the Demon was bigger than the last one.He would have to play it safe.He decided he would have a bird distract it from the children in the park which were now scattering at the site of footprints appearing in the sand out of nowhere.

All of a sudden one of the children was hoisted into the air. " You seem to be fat and juicy I think I will eat you," said the Demon opening his mouth.

"Hey! Put the kid down!" Ghost decided safe was not an option. He quickly raised his hand and concentrated.

Ghost's Mind

"Back already? What do you want?" Ghost's counter part was reading a book.

"I need as much power as you can give me. This Demon is bigger than the last two."

"I'm sorry but I can't do that. You see, I am to lazy to take over. Eat this apple and leave me alone." said the counterpart forming an apple then reaching it to Ghost.

" What will this apple do?"

"It harnesses your power sparingly."

"All right."

Park

"Lets try this apple." said Ghost taking a bite. Out of nowhere he felt a burst of energy.

Lifting his right hand level with his shoulder and supporting it with his left he summoned up a Pyron. It began to spin and take the shape of a sword. After it was finally shaped he made a mad dash at the Demon.

The Demon dropped the child and quickly lifted his forearm and a silver armor formed around it. It was no use the Pyron burnt through the armor and completely removed from the center of his forearm down. The Demon let out a quick shriek and its other arm turned into a scythe.

The scythe flew around and cut Ghost beneath the lower rib. Ghost quickly jumped back and changed the form of his Pyron into a pair of spiked gloves. He punched the Demon in the skull and heard a loud crack.

Ghost's arms fell limp and he could not breathe. The demon had broken his ribs and punctured a lung. Criss quickly stepped in with her Aquan and killed the Demon.

As Criss lifted Ghost to take him to the Hospital she heard a sound behind her. She turned her head to look. It was Ghost's counterpart.

"Don't move him. I am Ruk. Ghost's guide. I will heal him. These wounds were done by a Demon you should know that a hospital would not work."

"Sorry I just don't want him to die," tears were in her eyes.

"Wow. weren't you the one that caused this big laceration on the back of his head?" said Ruk rolling Ghost onto his side showing the gash on the back of his head that was bleeding profusely.

"Oh my. I am so sorry." She summoned her Aquan and tried to heal the wound.

" Don't feel sorry. Because of you he lived. Someone had thrown a poison dart at him the exact time he was hit with the rock. Had he not fallen he would be dead. Now the only question is who tried to kill him?"
Chapter Five - The Gathering
"So when I face planted," Ghost looked at Criss with an evil look on his face," I actually dodged a poison dart?"

"Pretty much. Just, I wonder who would try to kill you. We are the only ones who know your an exorcist," explained Ruk examining Ghost's room. It was intriguing to him how everything felt. He was sure that he knew everything about human things just from sight and hearing. He was wrong.

"Could you put that down and at least try to find finger prints or something to hunt down the freak!" Criss was getting annoyed. It was like they weren't paying her any attention.

" Oh calm down we already looked. We found absolutely nothing. Not event a trace of scent. Who ever it was they are very skilled at covering their tracks. Plus they might not even be human." Ruk put down the book he had been examining. It read "Insight to the Human Mind" across the front cover. "Wow this book is interesting.. I may have to read it"

"Huh?" Ghost had almost fallen asleep. "I wasn't listening. I just want to take a quick nap," he reached over his shoulder to scratch his back and grabbed a weird feeling object and ripped it out of his skin. "What is thi-," Ghost collapsed into the floor.

"Wake up don't fall asleep or you will die for sure!" Ruk quickly crossed the room and kicked Ghost in the face. He continued kicking Ghost until his leg was hurt and Ghost was bleeding and moaning on the floor.

"Quit that! What are you doing?!" Criss punched Ruk. Ruk stumbled back and shook his head.

"The pain will keep him awake and if he is awake his heart will beat adrenaline through his body. In turn the adrenaline keeps his body from coming to a complete stop. That poison was designed not to hurt him but to make him die peacefully. His heart will continue to slow until it stops. Do you get it? Or do I need to simplify it for your dumb retard self!" Ruk had lost his temper.

" Excuse me!?" Criss punched Ruk in the face again. She began beating him into the side of the wall when all of a sudden she felt what seemed like a tack in her back.

" Not you too." Ruk turned her and ripped out the dart.

"Where are they coming from?" asked Ghost on the ground. He was feebly trying to stand.

"I think they are somehow able to fly through walls. Ow!" Ruk fell to the ground in a heap beside Ghost and Criss.

Unknown Area

"Welcome all, to Tokyo, Japan. Here you will be tested in your abilities" Ghost looked up. All around him were people all looking at a screen with an awkward looking man in it.

Ghost stood the rest of the way up. The man continued to speak,"You are all exorcists. Yet the only combat experience you have had is with Demons. What happens when the day comes that one of you becomes renegade? You will try to use Demon killing techniques on each other. Guess what they don't work on other exorcists! We will have a small tournament to test your abilities. On your dominant hand you will find two numbers. Find the person with the same two numbers as you. They will be your teammate and your worst enemy. Go!"

Ghost looked down at his had. Just as the man had said he had two numbers. They were: 23 and 3.He began asking the other exorcists their numbers. When all of a sudden he got a tap on his shoulder. He turned around. There was Ruk and Criss.

" What are your numbers?" Criss held out her hand and showed Ghost her numbers: 32 and 23.

"Same as yours. I guess we are on a team." he gave a quick smile then turned to Ruk who was scanning the crowd."What is your number?"

"You are truly an idiot."

"Huh"

" I am your spirit guide manifested you idiot so I don't have a number I am automatically on your team"

"Awesome," exclaimed Ghost and Criss simultaneously.

"So do you like how they brought us here?" asked a boy walking up to Ghost. The boy could not have been older than 12 yet he had something about him that gave Ghost a bad feeling.

"Still sleepy, but way better than him dragging us here kicking and screaming. Wait you don't have a teammate?" Ghost looked around for the boy's companion.

"He is coming.. it sure looks like you are already beat up pretty bad. Someone had to have drug you here kicking and screaming to have all that dried blood on your face," the boy chuckled as an easily seven foot tall man stepped out from the crowd and stood behind the boy.

" Oh that's because we thought it was a poison that stopped the heart and someone," Ghost over emphasized the someone while looking at Ruk," tried to keep me awake."

"Well that sounds delightful but I must be on my way," said the boy with a quaint smirk on his face," Let's go Alfonse."

Unknown Area: Conference Room

"Now that everyone has their teams we enter Phase 2" said a man at the end of the table said.

" Yes and when we find the strongest we will overtake them and the world will be ours." said another man.

"I want to keep my eye on the one that was covered in blood. It seamed he had physically manifested his Spirit." said the voice of a woman.

"Whoever may win we must still be careful. Don't forget the last time we tried this. back in 1863. We don't want a repeat."

Tokyo

" Ghost get cleaned up," said Criss coming out of the bathroom at the hotel where they were staying.

"All right," Ghost stood up and went into the bathroom. He didn't know what was going on here with the gathering of all known exorcists but he did not like it.
Chapter Six - A Lot Like Chess
"Are you sure we are in the right place?" Ghost was looking around the area. They were in a small wooded area. "Man I don't think that note and video he gave us were to accurate. Nothing is here!"

"Shut up! You are annoying the crap out of me plus I can tell someone is hiding behind that tree. So come on out!" Criss walked up to the tree and drew her pocket knife.

"Good job you know how to sense me. This may be a fun fight after all." A short man with red hair stepped out from behind a tree to the left of where Criss was.

"What do you mean fight?" Ruk climbed down from the tree where he was resting.

"Didn't you watch the video. Your challenge will be at blah blah blah. 20 different teams showed up before you which means this is a mass elimination round."

"Well you sound like your gonna be tough," Ghost began summoning his Pyron,"Why don't we start?"

"Fine, show yourself Julio."

"Wow you are actually gonna let me fight this time? Ahh I don't even want to. I'm gonna go back and take a nap holler if you need me," he reached up to a branch and climbed to the top of the tree.

Ghost ran toward the red hair man but before he reached him he disappeared. Ghost let out a small scream and fell to the ground holding his side.Criss quickly ran up to Ghost and started to help him up when she heard a loud laugh from behind her. Ruk was rolling on the ground and he sounded crazy.

Ghost stood the rest of the way with a serious look on his face. "I am gonna kill that guy." Cris had never heard him sound so vicious before. Out of nowhere she felt like a fist had plowed into her stomach. She retched over and coughed up blood.

Ghost charged his Pyron before she had even time to finish coughing and swung it into the red haired man. They heard a shriek as blood seemed to be appearing out of mid air." Invisibility what a crappy ability." Ruk stood up and gathered his composure.. "I was laughing because I just noticed Ghost doesn't even know how to use any of his exorcist powers other than talking to animals!"

"What do you mean?" asked the red hair man coming back into vision. his left arm was just barely hanging on and his skin was extremely pale.

"He means I haven't even used my abilities on you." Ghost replied.

"I completely forgot to tell you how to use them. That Pyron of yours' is a natural ability. Even a human could do it,"Ruk was still chuckling, " Ghost just concentrate your focus on your spirit animal and our ability should reveal itself. I just gotta say it, you ,little red haired kid, are pathetic."

"I am not a kid!" the red haired man went invisible.

"Aw how cute. Little boy is mad," Criss was making a funny face at where she saw blood squirting.

Ghost raised Pyron and charged at the blood squirting area. He stabbed at the man and heard another scream. Then a quick thud. The invisibility ended and there laid a decapitated opponent.

"Wow you actually killed him," said Julio climbing down the tree. "I guess you deserve to know what happened to the other 20 teams?"

" Yeah we sorta do," answered Criss.

"Turn around the cloak should have wore off."

They turned and there, in front of them, was a heap of dead bodies. Most of them just had snapped necks, but a couple were cut into tiny cubes or smashed by what seemed like hooves.

"What happened to them?" answered Criss holding back puke.

"They played a game with me and lost."

"What kind of game!" Ghost was enraged.

" Strategy." Julio dissapeared from sight then reappeared behind Ghost. He drew a small army knife from his pocket. The serrated edge barely caught Ghost in the side. It seemed like a deep cut had happened though. Ghost was bleeding out what seemed like cups full at a time."Your turn."

"What did you do?" asked Ghost applyinmg pressure to his wound.

"I attacked the leader of your group. You should all protect each other better."

Criss summoned her Aquan and ran towards Julio slicing his arm."Nice move, but now its my turn."

Julio began to concentrate. All of a sudden he turned into a horse. He charged straight toward Ghost. The hit was loud and sounded extremely painful.

"I have his strategy figured out. He is doing increasingly powerful moves. Like Chess he started with pawn and moved onto a knight. Next it is gonna be a rook and probably after that a Queen . After Queen we need to strike because King is the weakest. we have to survive until then." Ruk leaned over and started to heal Ghost.

Criss started up her Aquan again she ran forward and sliced into Julio again this time she completely removed his forearm. There was no blood.Julio started concentrating again and he turned into a large canon. The shot came barreling toward Ghost but Ruk jumped in front of the shot. The bullet exploded on impact and Ruk was splatted all around the area.

"He will be fine," said Ghost rising to his feet. "It's not like he actually was a real person."

" Good point, are you ready to finish this?" Criss smiled and Aquan appeared again.

"Born ready!" Ghost's Pyron blasted out almost double its average size.

Ghost ran forward and cut both of Julio's legs off. "Nice shot Ghost. But you should know physical wounds don't hurt me I just regrow." Julio's forearm regrew coverin blood along with the legs. He wiped the blood off. "Now for you to die"

The ground started to shake and all around them knights were popping out of the ground. "I am the king!!!" Julio was screaming and laughing like he was crazy. "You two are quite powerful. I have never been to King before this will be fun!"

The knight came in crashing around Ghost and Criss. Criss fought hard and was headed straight for the center where Ghost was already battling Julio.

Julio was on the defensive. Ghost let out a roar and brought down his blade. Julio's head rolled onto the ground.

The King had fallen.

Unknown Area Conference Room

"Phase 2 was a huge success. Now to Begin Phase 3." The man at the end of the table smiled.

Chapter 7 - Moving In and Memories
1 Year Later

Unknown Room (California)

"Phase 3 and 4 went through just fine. This Ghost child seems like he would be a
good host." The man at the end of the table took a sip of his coffee and stared at his "workers".

"Yes he does maybe we should recapture him since his team did win the
tournament," a man to the left of the "Boss" spoke up.

"No," a young boy walked into the room followed by a larger man. "I want to go get him he trusts me." A smile appeared on his face and he turned to walk out of the door.

"Really now?" questioned the "Boss".

"I'll have him here and dead in under a year. just sit back and relax father."

"Fine." He looked into his lap for no reason. That was what he was worried about.

Ghost's House

"Look at this Honey!" Ghost's mother was helping him pack to move out of the
house. She lifted a picture out of a dresser drawer. She held up a picture of Ghost
when he was two. There was a smile on his face.

"Yea I had it where it was for a reason mom." He set the picture on his dresser.
He had hid it there so he could "forget it". He just did not want to tell her that she
would most likely cherish it more than him.

"I can't believe you are already moving away to live with someone else. I had no
idea you would be married at such a young age." She looked at the picture
reminiscing. "You just don't seem like the type to ever get married. No offense! I
just mean that you are always so gloom," a tear rolled down her cheek. I am just
going to miss you so much."

"I'll miss you too, mom." He hugged her and couldn't help but feel sad.

Criss's House

"That's all the stuff. " Criss whispered to herself. "Now I wonder how I am going
to get all of this outside?"

"I can help." Ghost whispered into Criss's ear.

Criss let out a quick scream then back handed Ghost. "Don't you EVER sneak up
me like that again!"

"Wow you hit hard. I think my teeth are loose. I might have to call the police for
assault." Ghost said rubbing his face where there was now a large red hand mark.

" Just shut up and help me with this TV. Be careful there are some dvds in here
too." Criss was trying to lift a large box.

"Fine."

As he loaded the last box into the truck a noise made him turn his head. A
teenager was standing there. He was vaguely familiar. "Do you recognize me? You beat me in the final round of the tournament. It was maybe a year and a half ago?" Before Ghost could reply the teen spoke again. " I am now assigned to kill you."

"Alfonse!" A smoke surrounded the teen and there stood a tall man. The exact
same man from when the tournament began. "I assume you recognize me now?"

"I can't believe it i thought you had entered cardiac arrest. I was sure you were
dead."

"You can't kill me. It is impossible." He paused to check the look on Ghost's face.
Pure surprise.

"Now, Alfonse I want you to kill this man. And if you get beat again I will never use you again."

Alfonse ran straight toward Ghost. As he connected a fist to Ghost's jaw a blast
caught him off guard and he went flying into a tree that was in the yard. Was.

"You are getting rusty Ghost." Ruk stood there with a smug smile on his face.

"Obviously not because I still know how to summon you out of nowhere!" Ghost's
face was red with anger at Ruk and that stupid kid.

All of a sudden a sword raced by Ghost's head. Ghost quickly grabbed the arm of the teen and hit two pressure points causing him to drop his arm. Ghost slammed his knee into the teen's stomach. the teen lurched forward and spat out blood. Before the blood hit the ground the teen drop his sword and caught the blood in his hands. He started to channel his spirit energy into his hands. Another sword started to grow but this one was long and glowing red. The hilt was a gold-ish color.

It looked evil.

The teen swung hard at Ghost. Before he was within an inch of Ghost he felt a
large pain in his back. He looked down and there was a blue sword through his
stomach. The Aquan. Ghost quickly gathered his Pyron and stabbed the teen. The
teen dissapeared in a flash of light and Ghost and Criss stumbled forward almost
hitting each other.

"Where did he go?" Criss had surprise on her face. "Did he hurt you?"

"No, I am fine. I have no idea where he went. But if I am right then that wasn't
even him. More like a clone made of pure spirit energy and we overloaded it."
Ghost was unlikely to tell her about the last fight of the tournament which she
was sick during. She had passed out at the beginning of the match and knew
absolutely nothing.

"As long as your ok," she kissed him on the cheek and walked towards the
loading truck.

*Flashback*

"How is this kid so fast?" Ghost thought. He was being surrounded by one person. But he was moving so fast it seemed like ten. And every five second he felt a hit somewhere on his body.

He couldn't take much more.

"Remember what I tought you about your exorcist powers." It was Ruk in his
head.

That gave him an idea. His power was speed and flight. He channeled all of his
spirit energy into his legs. He made a quick run out of the circle. He got out so
fast that the kid had no idea until he was clothes lined. Ghost followed it up with an axe kick into the kid's stomach. The kid grabbed Ghost's foot and said goodbye.

An explosion rocked the arena.

As the smoke cleared you could hear the chirp of a sword being summoned. Then another chirp, and another until there was at least 20 swords summoned.

The smoke cleared.

The boy had made 23 clones and each had a sword. All of the swords were glowing purple with red hilts. In the center was a limp body with cuts all over it and black smudges most likely from the explosion. All 23 of the clones jumped into the air and combined there swords into a whip like weapon. The hilts became chains attaching multiple blades. All the clones dissapeared and the sword plummeted to the real thing. The chains retracted and the sword became one then shortened to a length of 5 foot. The boy walked toward Ghost and stabbed him right in the heart.

*Present*

"Give me the keys so I can drive." Ghost said rubbing his chest.

"Why else would you need to keys? To stab someone?" Criss asked playfully. Then she threw him the keys from the passenger side of the car.

As they drove along all Ghost could do was think about the reappearance of the
teen. He didn't even look like the same person. But that voice. It was so cold and
evil and alone.

Noticing his concerned look Criss took his right hand which was resting on the
middle panel. "What's wrong?" she asked him leaning over and kissing his neck.

"Nothing its just that I thought he dead last year when I had got him with my
Pyron." He sighed. "Oh well I will just deal with it. That reminds me. Mom is
wanting to know if she can come down on Christmas. She said that even though I
just moved out it would be nice to come visit and see the new house."

"That sounds nice. Oh, we are here."

*Flashback*

As he pulled the sword out with a sickening crack. Ghost dissapeared.

"You should have known that wasn't me." Ghost was behind the kid. He was still
cut all over and black and his shirt was cut and bleeding over his heart. " The only
reason I have a cut over my heart is because you stabbed me right as I woke up.
Surprise. I moved out of the way and cloned myself and you didn't even notic-,"

Ghost dodged the now released sword.

It flew past his right arm. Just as Ghost was about to say something he heard a
whistling noise behind him. The sword was being whipped back at such speed it
had arched sideways and Ghost turned to block it. It caught him in the stomach and drug him backwards toward the boy.

"Think fast,"he thought to himself.

Ghost hit the ground with a thud. "Time to test my flying ability."

Ghost took off his shirt. You could see the extent of the damage. Ghost's shoulder
blades started moving up and down. Small lumps appeared from under each and
they snaked their way into the center of each shoulder blade. Ghost let out a
painful scream as two large red and black wings ripped through his skin.

"There are consequences to using you wings. One of them is blood loss. And the
other is the loss of 30 minutes of your life. I know this doesn't seem like much
now but in the future trust me you will wish you had those 30 minutes." Ruk stood
before Ghost in the tunnel. "Now hurry and win before you lose to much blood."

Ghost took flight and summoned his Pyron. It looked different. It was a black
color. Small flames burst from each side of it as if it were on fire with some
mysterious back flame. It became sharp as he poured his wind and fire element
into it.

The boy began to look afraid. But it was to late to even run. Ghost had flown down to the boy faster than sound. The Pyron connected with the boy's abdomen. Sparks began to jump all over his body and blood flowed from each of the small holes. He looked a red-ish black color from all the heat and instantly dried blood on his body.

*Present*

He was dead. Or at least Ghost had thought.

"We are here," Ghost said pulling in.

The New House

"This is the place," Criss had a nostalgic look on her face.

"Yeah. We better start unpacking our stuff." Ghost leaned over and gave Criss a
kiss and got out of the loading truck. He picked up the closest box which contained a television with dvd's.

A crash sound behind him made him turn around. A large truck had just careened
into his small Mazda MX 6, which was already parked at the new house .The
teenager got out of the truck and drew a gun.

"Too easy," the teen shot and Ghost saw white.

Hospital

"His lungs are collapsing. Get me an operating room NOW!" The doctor was
applying pressure to one of the gun shot wounds. What he didn't get is how the
man wasn't dead yet. Two shots in the abdomen and one in the leg. The one in the
leg had hit an artery. The others had hit a lung and the other missed all vital
organs.

"The OR is ready. But we need to do this fast because he has already lost a lot of
blood." the nurse had a roll away operating table ready to get him to the operating room.

"All right bring the defibrillator. We also need some blood. Check what type he
is. Find a donor and get two pints at the least. Also get me a respirator.
We may even need a new lung." This was a serious injury and the doctor was
eager to get to work.

" Is he going to be all right?" Criss was tired of just standing there.

"At this point we can't be sure. But if I were to give him a chance at survival I
would say 20 % maybe less. Sorry." The nurse turned away quickly and started
after the doctor.
Chapter 8 - Spiked Gloves
"How is he doing?" Criss walked up to the first nurse she saw leave the OR. You could tell that she had been crying because her eyes were red.

Her voice wavered and cracked.

"He is coming through but still in critical condition. What is surprising is that somehow it shows he has never been to the hospital but his right lung has collapsed and been punctured before. Do you know how and when that happened?" The nurse was looking at a chart confused.

"He also recovered from the non lethal to almost perfect. We are extremely confused we really need your help."

"I have no idea. I just met him seven months ago. We haven't exactly got to talking about our pasts." She lied straight faced to the nurse. She knew exactly what happened. A year and eight months ago he had got cocky fighting a demon. The demon had stabbed him with a scythe weapon.

She remembered how Ghost was back then. He was so quiet. He seemed so sad She was the only one that could break through his shell and make him smile. He also looked a lot different then too. His hair had been short and his skin was sort of pale. Not to mention that he was hardly 5'6". Now his hair was covering his ears and it was a dark brown color. He was 6' tall now. And now the thing was it was her fault he in the hospital now.

The Past

That day. She remembered it like yesterday. She was looking out the window waiting for the bell to ring. As usual it was late. She noticed something shiny outside. She activated her exorcist powers. She accidentally overdid it and to much of her spirit energy seeped out. After all she was new to this exorcist thing.

Ghost's spirit energy peaked and she noticed that it was just barely below exorcist level. Which meant he was able to see the shiny thing, but he hadn't yet.He started to stand. She had to keep him from looking that direction. She tapped his shoulder.

When she touched him she felt a small shock. His spirit energy rolled over the top and he was now above above exorcist level. Now there was a larger concentrate of spirit energy in the room. He noticed her look down toward the shiny thing now distinguishable as a sword.

The sword disappeared when she looked over to grab something. She didn't know what had happened until it was to late. The door burst open and a man walked in. He flung the sword across the room straight at her. Ghost had jumped in the way to save her. His arms looked like they were cut in half.

Only to the bone. Still a relief from how bad it could have been. She knelt over him and was almost to tears when woke up. He was only out for ten or so seconds but he was completely different. She could feel it.

He ripped the sword out. His arms started to heal. He started to attack to attack but she knew it wouldn't end well. She got her Ki shot ready.(She hadn't learned the Aquan till Ghost had started practicing a technique he called the Pyron.)

She saved his life and the look on his face was pure surprise and envy.

Hospital

Ghost was asleep in the hospital bed. He looked pale. Criss grabbed his hand . She started crying. He stirred in his sleep. He woke up.

"Hey,"his voice was hoarse and raspy.

"I was so scared," Criss was crying. Something that Ghost rarely saw her do."I thought you were gonna die. I am so sorry."

"Why are you sorry? You don't have to be. I will be fine. I bet I will be out of here before Christmas," he smiled and let out a small laugh. He quickly ended the laugh with a series of hard coughs that made him sit up.

"Lay back down you aren't well enough to even move,"

"Ok... I have to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"Remember at the arena? You woke up and I was all beat up?"

"Yea..."

"I told you we had lost and that the kid had already left. But I lied." Ghost sighed and looked down at his feet. The way he looked in the bed was almost sickening. He had so many tubes in him and was so pale that even the old cancer patients looked better than him.

"What do you mean?"

"I won. Not only that but I thought I had killed the kid. I used a version of Pyron that injured me and him. Him more than me though. I used my wings. When I hit him sparks started to shoot from all over his body and up my arm. Everywhere a spark came up extreme pain and blood came out. And the heat was so intense that the blood dried instantly and burnt the skin, and he looked like a burnt roast. He went into cardiac arrest and the medics said that he had died on location."

"What does this have to do with anything? And how come you didn't tell me about you having wings?"

"Every time I use my wings I lose 30 minutes of my life plus a little less than a cup of blood. Multiple uses would put to much stress on my body and most likely kill me. And he is back and stronger than before. If anything I have gotten soft. I am not near strong enough to protect you. I feel so pathetic." Ghost was afraid to look Criss in the eyes. He looked out the window. A tear rolled down his cheek.

"I will help you with fighting him if he shows up again. And you are the best provider I could have ever asked for. I love you and you aren't pathetic and we will get through this together." Criss had tears streaming down her cheeks.

Ghost looked over at her and gave her a reassuring look."I will have Ruk speed up the healing and we will go home tonight ok?"

"Please."

Ruk appeared and started healing but he kept quiet. He could feel the atmosphere and decided his humor wasn't needed.

All of a sudden Criss doubled over and threw up. A nurse over heard the retching and ran in quickly and helped Criss out of the room.

Criss's Hospital Room

"Throw up in this, if you have to." The doctor picked up a trash can and moved it next to Criss's bed.

"Ok." she sat up feeling like she would puke her guts out. She was extremely embarrassed.

The doctor began the routine check up. He grabbed his stethoscope, "Breathe in. Breathe out." He heard a small rasping in her lungs.

He began to take her temperature. She puked again and the doctor had to keep her from falling out of the hospital bed.

Her temperature was over 100. He completed the rest of the check up. He left to the room with a couple blood samples to test.

He came back later and gave her a couple pills to drop her temperature and had her fill out the release forms. It was just a small stomach virus.
Waiting Room

"I am fine just let me go home. I f I get worse then I will come straight back. I promise." Ghost was pleading for the doctors to let him leave.

"Ok but you will need to come in twice a week for the next month for us to check you out." A doctor finally caved.

"Fine just let me leave."

"Fill out these papers." A nurse reached him some release forms.

New House

"When do you think they will be out of the hospital, Alfonse?" the teen had been in their house since they had rushed toward the hospital.

Almost three days ago.

"Not sure, sir." Alfonse spoke with a heavy English accent.

"Oh well, turn the TV up. This Direct TV. Just. Wow I guess. Over 1000 channels." He was staring at the television in aw.

"Yes, sir" Alfonse turned up the television. A violent movie was on and he hit information. The ticker flipped up and showed thatthe movie was called "Turistas".

All of a sudden they heard a car engine. Silently Alfonse turned off the TV and hid.

The teen readied his Darkrye. It was a five foot long spirit weapon cut into 23 sections that could split apart and be used like a whip.As soon as Ghost and Criss entered he threw a smoke bomb filled with sleeping powder. They passed out. Too easy. He picked them up and disappeared.

Unknown Facility

"These two are fine specimens for our research. They are obviously different form normal humans and the male has an odd bone structure

like none I've ever seen before. Although more tests are needed, I figure he has the ability to shape shift," said the scientist with obvious glee on his face.

"That's fine information, but are their bodies strong enough for the transportation?"

"Perfect. But may I ask for more research time?"

"Do what you wish just don't kill them."

"Yeah-s!" The scientist jumped nearly four foot into the air laughing.

X-ray Room

"Be careful with her. She looks sickly," the scientist was tiring of these henchmen treating his specimens so crappy.

They put the woman onto the table where she was to be x-rayed. They took multiple images of her head back and legs. They took a few of her arms and ribs.

They did the same with Ghost.

After a slurry of test the scientist was extremely surprised with the results. Ghost and Criss had odd bone structures. There mental capacity was extremely large. It was if they each had more than one mind. Then there was the fact that every time they took blood the wound bubbled up and disappeared.

He wanted to test them physically.

Exercise Room

"Run or get shocked with 2,000 volts of electricity!" shouted the scientist over the whir of both treadmills. Thus far they had both been running 10 mph for the last 6 minutes. They truly were impressive, was one of the many thoughts that he kept having.

Ghost was planning an escape. He already had every exit sign memorized and he planned on using any way necessary to get to one. It was almost time for them to stop running and as soon as the stopped he would give Criss the signal.

All of a sudden there was an explosive vortex of purple colors. The vortex began sucking everything into it including both Criss and Ghost.

Security Room

"Phase seven is going to be fun," the "boss" began to transform. His face skin began to stretch and rip. His face became more rigid and straight. His body became more buff and his suit ripped. He was a demon.

Spirit Realm

"Criss are you ok?" Ghost asked leaning over Criss who had looked pretty bad even before the tests had began, but now she was looking like she would not make it through the hour.

"I feel like I am going to die. Where are we?"

" I have no idea. I'm gonna carry you until you can walk on your own." Ghost picked up Criss and began walking toward what looked like a small city.

The city was surrounded by a large wall that rose at least twenty stories. Ghost began walking the perimeter looking for a way in. After almost a full hour of walking he came to a large open gate. The gate's door wasn't like most that push or slide open. It was suspend in mid air above the wall. Ghost began to walk in when a large man stepped out from behind the wall on the other side.

"And just who are you? Don't answer that question I already know. You, are an intruder to the Demonic Realms most peaceful city. We are the city known as the Ruukon. Intrusions by evil Demons will NOT be tolerated!"

"Wait a second we have no idea how we got here. I am just trying to find help for my wi-," Ghost was cut off as another man appeared.

They were both dressed in a black type of kimono. (Like the Japanese wear.) At their sides were their swords. The swords looked different from one another so did the crest's on their arms.

They both drew their swords." Ghost put me down and fight. I will be fine." This was the first time Criss had spoken since she had been picked up.

"Ok," Ghost said uneasily.

"So you are going to fight us both?" said the large man wiping dust off his sword.

Ghost did not reply as he readied his Pyron. Almost as soon as his Pyron had appeared it felt like an electric shock hit him. His Pyron grew double its size. Ghost decided since he had more power he would try something he hadn't done since he had first mastered the Pyron. He began to shift the spirit energy into a set of spiked gloves.

The two men suddenly disappeared and re-appeared behind Ghost. The smaller one drew his sword and stabbed at Ghost. The stab missed and only got Ghost's shirt. Ghost used his spirit energy to boost his leg speed and got behind the larger man. He did an open palmed punch with his Pyron-spiked glove weapon and then shot a blade of spirit energy from his palm into the man's back. He collapsed forward bleeding from his mouth, belly, and back. His spine was visable because of the heat immediately drying the blood.

The other man's sword began to change. It became a spear-like weapon with a blade at the end. He ran at Ghost. Ghost ran toward him also. They both disappeared about 10 foot from each other. Ghost appeared at the same time as the small man. He quickly grabbed the spear and pulled the man forward. The spear split into three parts. They were held together by spirit energy. The man now held them like nun-chukkas. the two ends had blades on them. Ghost got a serious look on his face. He turned his Pyron into a bo-staff. The small man started spinning his weapon and stepping forward. He disappeared. Ghost stabbed forward as fast as his arms could move. As his staff connected with the body of the man. His speed killed him. All of his ribs broke from the impact.

Ghost quickly grabbed Criss and headed into the city.He had to find a hospital for her. He didn't even waste his time hiding the bodies.

Sirens started going off. The man on the loud speakers on every other street kept saying intruders. Kill them with merciless force.

Ghost found a hospital and quickly ran inside. As he left Criss's room he was confronted by a familiar man. "Hello Will I haven't seen you since you were 2 years old," said the man smiling.

"Who are you?" Ghost was on the defensive now. No one but his mom called him that anymore. Well, her and people who didn't know him.

"How can't you recognize me?," asked the man looking hurt. "I am your father."
Intermission
OK.... I need to clear a few things up before I just toss you headfirst into 9 because there are going to be a few things... I don't have time to describe before my (already passed (sorta) deadline. The reason I say this is because I was expecting to have Chapter 9 AND 10 finished by Valentines day..... I like to procrastinate (quite a bit). This is by no means a professional chapter nor is it a chapter. it is just thrown in to help understand these next few parts and to save me an extreme amount of time.

Spirit Realm - Most of the neighborhoods are exactly the same. It is extremely advanced in technology. Also very bland. Other than that it is exactly like Earth other than the fact that it hardly ever rains. Humans can go here when they die.

Demonic Realm - Like a twisted disgusting version of Earth. The oceans are always boiling and Volcanoes are always erupting. Humans can go here at death.

Limbo - Just a pit of black. Where spirits and Demons go when they die.

Description of Exorcist.

An exorcist is a person with extremely high spirit energy and experiences something traumatic. They aren't the same exorcists that get demons out of humans. They destroy demons before they can possess spirits. And destroy the spirits that are already possessed. They are what keeps peace on Earth. They take a seven questions test upon meeting there spirit guide. The answers to the question show their animal, abilities, elements, and spirit capacity. The animals that they can be are: Fox, rabbit, wolf, cat, lion, spider, whale, shark, eagle, sparrow, snake, frog, dragon, monkey, turtle, or rhinoceros. Abilities can vary from something as simple as walking on water to warping between time and space. But for the latter the time paradox is in place so no matter what they do nothing changes. Elements include: water, wind, fire, lightning, and earth.

Chapter 9 - Resonance
2 Months Later

"Will I think I found his base!" Ghost's father handed him some coordinates.

For the last month they had been searching for the demon that had used Ghost and Criss's high energy to enter the Soul Society as Ghost's father called it. His plans as of now were unclear but some rumors were going around that he was gathering an army to try to take over the Spirit Realm and then the Demonic Plane and finally Earth itself. Ghost knew that no matter what he would end up in the war if it ended up happening.

"Thanks dad. I know I have asked you this a hundred times but I am gonna ask again. Call me Ghost ." Ghost looked at the coordinates. They were in the valley almost a full twenty miles away. Not to far in a car, but there wasn't really any cars in this place. They would have to walk. "How many men should we take with us?"

"At least five."

"Then that's how many we are going to bring. We will head out in the morning. Now we have to find three men who are willing to come with us."

"I have a few in mind. Go home with your wife say your good byes and make sure you are at the Western Gate by 5:30 A.M."

"Bye then."

"Bye."

Ghost's (temporary) House

Ghost opened the door and began walking toward his room. He noticed a small piece of paper on the coffee table by the bed. It said : Hey I am going to the Hospital for my appointment I will be back around 4. I love you- Criss.

"Perfect," he thought and layed down on the bed and looked at the ceiling. His eyes got heavy. He slowly drifted off into sleep.

"Hello Will. I am Prophet," a mysterious voice floated around Ghost. He tried to speak but found that his mouth was taped shut. "I have some important news for you," the voice floated behind him. "Your blood will save the Realms. In ten years your blood will be ready. Then I will be back to harvest your blood. It will be a great day in the history of all the Realms. Your blood will be famous. Do not allow your blood to be corrupted or your blood will fail. Now drift back to sleep. Young child. Sweet heart. To die. To live."

Ghost awoke with a startle and looked over at the clock. It showed 4:02. He had been asleep for ten minutes. It had felt like forever. And what had that voice meant by blood? Ghost head almost hurt from all the thoughts that were going through it.

"Hey I'm home!" Criss shouted from the front door.

"I am back here!" he decided he wasn't going to tell her until later.

"Guess what," Criss said entering the room with the biggest smile Ghost had ever seen on her face.

"Um... We won the lottery and now we have a million useless dollars," Ghost said with extremely obvious sarcasm.

"No," she drew out the no like a three year old would as if they were in trouble. She kissed him and whispered in his ear.

"Seriously? No. You are not serious. I mean, wow. " Ghost was surprised by this and completely forgot about the dream. "How long?"

"They don't know yet but I am going back in a couple days for a follow up exam. Do you think you could come?"

Ghost was about to say yes then he remembered about tomorrow. "I can't. I am really sorry. We have just found the man who sent us here. I have been assigned to a five man group to go check it out. I really am sorry."

Criss looked like she was going to cry. She layed down on the bed. Ghost layed back down next to her and hugged her the best he could in a bed.

"I just don't want to see you get hurt again. I am always in some situation where you get hurt. That day back when you first became an exorcist. You got hurt because of me. Our first demon. Me. The demon that got your lung. Me. I always cause your pain. I won't let you go." Criss was crying in his arms. His sleeves were wet with tears and he almost wanted to go tell his dad to let the war destroy the Realms. But he couldn't do it.

"I love you. But this is something I have to do. If this guy raises his army then we won't have a world for us to be safe in. And its not just you afraid of me getting hurt. Ever since I saved from those gang members in the ninth grade I have been there watching your back. If you ever got hurt I would probably go on a rampage." Ghost held Criss tight against him.

She didn't talk to him for the rest of the night. Eventually she drifted to sleep. Ghost eventually dozed off also.

Next Day

Ghost stood in front of his team. The air around them was foggy. It would most likely rain today. Rain was a sign of bad luck. It meant that a spirit would die. And when a spirit dies it goes nowhere. It is stuck between realms in a black abyss of nothing.

"So are the objectives clear?" asked Ghost picking up his back pack.

"Yes!," all of the men said at once.

"Alright get your gear on and head out."

They walked along for about 15 hours in silence. The sky was becoming clouded, and occasionally they saw lightning striking on top of the mountains in the distance. When they finally reached the base of one the mountains the terrain switched from a type of shrubby desert into a forest that looked nothing like a desert.Ghost asked one of the nearby birds if they had seen any thing suspicious. All they had to say was that they were only in the forest because they knew it was going to rain.

They were ahead of schedule. So if they were lucky and had no physical conflicts with the enemy they would be back in one month. That was because they had to stake out the area and a 1,000 Kilometer area around THAT area too. Ghost was starting to think it wasn't worth it. He really thought that they couldn't do anything with just five people anyways. Even if they were lucky they might only take out two or three people. Each. Unless one of them had some super bomb shoved up an unmentionable area.

"Will, you need to sleep," said his father sitting down on the ground, Indian style, next to Ghost. "No one is going to be in this part of the forest. Even of there was I already set up some loud snares that even if they miss their target will wake us up."

"All right," Ghost lied. He stood up and walked toward the edge of the light caused by the campfire. All he could do was think about Criss hadn't even told him bye. Eventually he fell asleep.

Dream

"Daddy!" screamed a little girl running at a tall man. She jumped up at him and he caught her in a hug laughing.

"And why are you in your pajamas at noon young lady?" he asked her smiling.

"Umm.. Mommy said I could," she said curtly.

"Really now? And when I ask her what will she say."

"She will remind you that your blood will save the future and not to die," she said sternly with a serious look on her face.

"What?"

"Fine... I was just lazy," she said as if she hadn't even said the last sentence.

"All right then go get your clothes on," he said putting her down.

(Awake)

Ghost awoke with a startle. 'What in the world is with these recurring dreams," he thought. He got up and went for a walk.

Ghost's House

Criss picked up the last bit of trash on the living room floor. She had been in bed a lot lately and hadn't cleaned anything that she had messed up. Until now.

In the four days since Ghost had left she felt like she would die. She had been so cruel to him about not being able to come with her for the tests. She knew it wasn't his fault and that he loved her but she was tired of seeing him get hurt. All of sudden she fell over crying. She missed him more than he could ever imagine.

Earth

"What is that in the sky?" a 13 year old kid asked tugging on his mom's sleeve.

"Where?" she asked looking up.

"Right there, don't you see it flying?" he said pointing at a small Lesser Demon.

"No I don't see anything flying where you are pointing. But over there is an eagle... Isn't that cool? I've never seen one in real life before!" she was staring in wonder at the bird as it flew around in circles.

"You are dumb," he mumbled walking back toward his house. He opened the door and screamed. In the floor was a small, flightless, Lesser Demon was eating his cat. Blood was all over the floor and the sound of smacking jaws made the boy sick. He stumbled back out the door.

The boy's mother screamed and ran toward him, but the flying Demon grabbed her and flew high into the air. Everyone walking on the sidewalk of the suburban neighborhood let out shrieks of terror as the demon dive bombed her into the ground. The last noise he heard before he passed out was bones cracking.

"We don't have a lot of time," said a disembodied voice somewhere down the tunnel where the boy was walking. "I'll introduce myself later, but right now you have to answer seven questions. Also eat this apple," said the boy's spirit counterpart reaching him an apple.

About twenty seconds later the boy stood up. If his spirit had been right then there would be a lot more of these Demons coming to get him. And if there was a war he wasn't exactly what you would call prepared for it. He was only one exorcist. And he had no idea how many exorcists he actually knew. One of which was his cousin who had disappeared about one month ago along with his wife.

All of a sudden there was a crash from inside his house and about five Sentry Demons burst through the door of his neighbor's house. They were covered in blood. The amount of demons around was just incredible. And they were after him which meant that exorcists on Earth were just as big of a threat as the ones in other realms.

The flying Lesser dived at him but he dodged it then quickly hit it with a spinning kick. It went flying out of the yard and into the road that ran down the middle of the suburban area. It was about to get back on to its feet when a small truck plowed into it. The driver gave out an astonished look as his truck's front end dented and nothing was there.

The other small Lesser ran out of the house at him with its teeth bared. It jumped up at the kid. He quickly side stepped and channeled some spirit energy into his arm and elbowed the Lesser in the back mid-air. It hit the ground with a sharp thud and screamed. The boy quickly shot it with Ki.

"Rob? Are you ok?" asked a neighbor walking into the yard.

"I'm fine. Check on my mom I am gonna run down the road," said Rob trying his best to pretend that nothing had happened.

"Oh my lord! What happened to her!?" she screamed but Rob was already down the road and out of hearing range.

Spirit Realm

Ghost couldn't believe his eyes. There was almost an endless wave of warriors. They ranged from normal spirits to Silencers. If they caught even the slightest hint that Ghost's group was there then they would be killed. Ghost motioned to his group to get out of the shrubbery and back into the forest.

As they snuck back into the forest Ghost heard something behind him. He turned and right there standing was the teen.

"I am here to help you. They already know your here so maybe you should get off your hands and knees and get ready for a fight," said the teen looking around.

"And your helping where as four months ago you kidnapped me, shot me in the chest, and got me sent here?" said Ghost standing up.

"That was back before I knew my father wasn't really my father."

"Sure. And also before I found out my father was dead. But then that he also works here. And is also standing right to my left." Ghost let out a small chuckle. It wasn't really funny but he thought it was.

Out of the shrubs a Ki Bow arrow shot right by Ghost's head. Ghost's father jumped into the shrubs with a sword drawn. He came running back quickly screaming for them to all run. Just as he got past Ghost about twenty Silencers burst through the shrubbery. Ghost charged his Pyron and hit the closest one in the chest.

It quickly steadied itself and shot a black Ki shot at Ghost. He barely dodged it. But before he could turn to face the Silencer, a different one caught him in the gut with a hard upper cut that made him cough blood. A third jumped into the fight with a hard axe kick that knocked an already bent over Ghost into the ground face first. Every time Ghost was almost to his knees another would join into the fight.

From what he could tell the only person that was still fighting was that teen. Ghost had to admit that if he was faking he was really good at bleeding from his nose. All of a sudden Ghost felt a searing pain in his back and couldn't move anymore. He started to feel drowsy. Everything was getting black.

He awoke in a prison cell. From what he could tell there was a calender on the wall across from him. A lot of dates were circled, but the one thing he noticed was that it was already four months past when he went on his mission. He started to panic and wonder how he'd slept all this time. He began ripping at his chains that bound him to the wall. He must have been tearing at his chains for an hour and his wrists were bleeding. He dropped his head in defeat.

A tear rolled down his cheek. Then another. He kept crying. The one thing that hurt him most wasn't the fact that he was probably declared dead or that he had failed the mission and the realms were going to be destroyed. It was that he would never get to see his child.

CHAPTER 10 (FINALE) BLOODY CAMELLIAS

With another slurry of punches the attacker fell to the ground. Ruk appeared by Ghost. “I cleared the path we are going to follow but I still don't see how we are going to break the bas sealing us in this prison.”

“I found a way to channel natural energy into me. This prison only blocks spirit.” Ghost's eyes were glowing a deep blue and his hair was moving as if wind were blowing.

“And you learned how to do that all alone? I remember how in the ancient times most of the elders had trouble learning.”

“Guess I have a knack for that kind of thing. Now stand back or whatever I'm going to destroy this place in one blast,” grunted Ghost forming a Pyron.

Ruk disappeared in a puff of smoke. 'Time for a test' thought Ghost. He lowered his arm parallel to his pelvis and ran forward his arm lagging just behind his lower back. Roughly three foot before the closest wall he thrust his arm forward.

The sound of the explosion awoke the guards who were asleep off duty on the basement floor. They immediately set off alarms and grabbed their weapons.

Ghost made it through three more walls and two guards before needing to charge another Pyron. He used three more Pyron before he made it to his destination. The exit was make shift but if he slammed through the wall and open his wings just right the fall wouldn't be fatal.

His main concern, however, was, of course, the wings. The circumstances were kinda crap. But he didn't want to lose the blood because it would mess up his performance for coming fights. Also there was the thirty minutes of life thing. But that was really no problem two uses was only an hour.

After a small hesitation he jumped from the hole he'd made. Approximately thirty feet above the ground he used his wings. They made bumps under his skin and slowly ripped through the skin. He screamed in agony as they quickly shot out and caught the cool night air.

He felt way more recoil than planned as hit feet slammed into the dirt and he rolled squeezing his long black wings as close to his body as possible. He lay on the ground for awhile before passing out only a mile from the prison.
~
The sun was so bright it burnt through his eyelids. Tim (AN: I finally gave him the teen a name.) was trekking through the desert like terrain with Ghost on his shoulders. He had found him nearly two days after he had escaped the prison. The tree he was resting on was surrounded by buzzards. Tim had had to use his Ki Bow to get rid of them all and now he was headed back towards the main city.

Just as the walls of the city were within sight Tim started to get a really bad feeling. Out of nowhere two Drakes and one Silencer appeared around Tim and Ghost.

“Ghost I hope you will thank me for this,” said Tim setting Ghost on the dirt. He began to charge his Darkyre.

The Drake didn't give Tim time to finish the technique and slammed into him with a powerful tackle. The Silencer got behind the two and unsheathed his sword. Straighting his arm into what would be the most painful death for Tim.

Inches before impact the silencer's head simply rolled off its shoulders. The sword dropped from its hand and the body fell limp in time to give Tim and the Drake a soft fall.

The Drake let out a shriek, that even a banshee would be afraid of if it heard it, and rolled off Tim because when the sword had fell it had caught it square in the heart, or heart-ish, spot that instantly killed it. The body didn't stay on the ground though. It bubbled up in smoke as its inward acids ate it out.

The only remaining Drake shot a beam of red lighting from its jaws straight at Tim. But it stopped short. Ruk stood silhouetted by the light.

“Quit staring at me and get up,” grunted Ruk slashing his sword forward parrying the lighting to the left. Then rushed forward and stabbed the Drake square in the chest. Its skin began to bubble and he burnt in a pit of ash.

“Wow,” said Tim in astonishment. “You completely demolished them. How? Ghost isn't even conscious to summon you.”

“I am fully aware of that. But he and I have a special bond. As long as I don't constantly give him energy during so he can get stronger on his own. I am aloud to roam freely.”

“Why wouldn't he want a constant flow of power during a fight?”

“It allows him to test his limits. And I do give him energy just only when he needs it.”

“So you mean he was holding back at the beginning of the fight with me two years ago?”

“Yea but only at the beginning when he was unaware of your potential strength.”

“Well can you move any faster than me? Because we need to get him to the city before his child is born even if hes unconscious Criss will still know that hes okay”

“Well your kind of late with your plan. She had the baby three days ago. It was unhealthy and she hasn't even got to see it. Not that it would do her much good.” Ruk put his thumb and index finger to the bridge of his nose to stop the sudden headache he got.

“Well we need to get there fast,” mumbled Ghost struggling to his feet only to fall back down to his knees.

“Let me help you,Ghost,” said Tim walking over to him.

“Please don't call me that anymore. I want my child to know me by my real name.”

“And what would that be,” asked Tim taken back by the tone in Ghost's voice.

“Its Will. Now get me to the hospital ASAP,” the words barely escaped his lips when he passed out again.

“Wow he is really beat up. Maybe wanna help me, Ruk?”

“I guess,” Ruk said getting under Will's other shoulder.
~
Will awoke with a start. All he could see was black. Nothing but a large landscape of darkness. He raised his hand to his face and was startled that he couldn't see it. 'Am I dead' he thought to him self.

“Hello!” he screamed waiting for an answer. He got none. He began to walk slowly making sure that his steps wouldn't take him over some invisible cliff.

With every step he felt sicker and sicker. The deep burning at the back of his throat and the tightening of his stomach were nothing compared to his dizziness. He was beginning to hear voices. Not loud yet. More like mumbles. But then he heard it.

“Will please no! Put down the gun!” he didn't recognize the voice.

“I don't have a gun. What are you talking about!?” he replied confused.

“No!!!” A gun shot went off and another. It sounded a lot like a semi-automatic rifle.

Slowly it began to get brighter. Will realized he was looking at himself in third person. He was in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. All over there were dead bodies. All of which were apparently dead because of him.

He wanted to scream and cry. Because he realized he knew every one of the people that were dead. And one of which was Criss.

Just as a tear rolled off his cheek and hit the ground it all went black again. “This will happen whether you want it to or not. Unless your blood lives through this illness and saves the world.”
~
Ghost woke up crying and sweaty. It took him awhile to realize he was in a hospital bed and the flowery wall paper and the gown-thing he was wearing wasn't what gave it away. When he had sat up a doctors syringe had stabbed him in the forehead.

“Well I guess your going back to sleep,” said the doctor rubbing the back of his head with his free hand and smiling.

“You are sick you know that?” said Will standing up out of his bed. He ripped the Iv out of his wrist and headed for the door. He turned back to the doctor. “What room is my wife and baby in?”

“They are in ICU. They are in extremely bad shape. She is overly exhausted and the babies lungs are not working correctly.”

Will ran out of the room and towards the ICU.(AN:ICU is Intensive Care Unit.) He slammed through the doors. And a few nurses before finding Criss' room. He slowly turned the knob and summoned Ruk so he could be ready to heal her.

She was lying silently on her bed. Iv's and weird beeping machines were all around her along with a respirator that breathed for her.

“Ruk,” whispered Will,”Can you heal her?”

“It seems pretty bad but I'm sure I can,” a red aura covered his hands and he began to find the worst parts of her body and renewed them first.

After almost an hour of healing her pulse began to speed up and her eyes opened. She felt her hand being held. And looked to her right. Her heart skipped a beat and she almost passed back out. Will was there. Albeit he was a bit beat up she couldn't help but smile. Or smile as well as she could with a respirator in her mouth.

She cried with joy and tightened her grip on his hand. With her other hand she reached up and pulled the respirator out of her mouth and leaned up to him and they kissed. She felt sparks on her tongue and got light headed. It was like a first kiss to her.

“I love you,” he whispered into her ear when they finally came apart.

“I love you too,” she said back.

Just as they were about to kiss again a doctor walked in with Ruk behind him. In the doctors arms there was a little bundle of pink. Will stood up and walked over to the doctor. He moved part of the pink blanket and saw the most beautiful child he'd seen in his entire life.

Her little tuft of curly black hair meshed somewhat with her deep sapphire blue eyes. And her little hands clenched and unclenched. She breathed slowly looking up at him.

Will reached down and touched her hand with his index finger and she grabbed it. He couldn't help but smile. It seemed as if all the problems of the world were distant memories. He was lost for a moment with his child. He took her from the doctor and walked her over to Criss.

“Would you like to hold our girl?”

“I would,” said Criss crying with joy that her baby had survived and was healthy.

“What would you like to name her?” asked the doctor interrupting the moment.

“Maxine,” Will and Criss said simultaneously.
~
Criss and Will walked back into their virtually untouched home back on Earth. It had been quite awhile back in the Spirit Realm and only a month or so had passed on Earth. They went on in and set the baby in its car seat while they set up a crib they had just bought.

All of a sudden Rob rushed into the house out of breath. “I'm glad you two are finally home. I need your help. Mom is dead. They killed her,” he said in between breathes.

“Calm down tell us exactly what happened,” said Will glad to see his younger cousin but extremely worried about his aunt at the same time the demons.

“There are Demons every where. I killed at least 20 on my way here. Its as if they are hunting me down.”

“Criss stay here and keep Maxine safe. I'm gonna go get rid of these Demons. Okay?”

“I love you be careful,” she said kissing him.

“Love you too,” he ran out the door followed by Rob. “So, Rob, your an exorcist now?”

“Yes, how'd you know?”

“You wouldn't have been able to kill even one demon unless. Your gonna need to watch yourself because we are going straight toward the source and I'm gonna destroy the portal to the Demonic Realm. If we are lucky there shouldn't be any demons in our area again for awhile unless they come from one of the other seven portals on Earth.”
“You have the power to do that?” asked Rob astonished beyond belief.
“I don't know yet.”

They got to the portal about two hours later. The Demons were spawning like crazy from it. Almost three Demons every two minutes. Will gathered all the energy he could and opened his wings. They still hurt from the last usage. They obviously didn't heal as fast as the rest of his body. Rob gathered all of his energy and anger at the demons from his mothers death and charged a Ki Bow shot right at the center of the portal. Will took all of Ruk's energy and charged the largest Pyron Aquan combination he could muster. The Demons quickly surrounded the two of them.

“Rob I want you to fight these Demons off and I'll fly into the Demonic realm and destroy the transporter.”

“Be careful,” he said shooting at the nearest Silencer.
~
“I've been waiting on you Ghost,” said the Mares (AN:Mares is the singular and plural. There is only one here) drawing its spirit blade. It would not allow Ghost to destroy the transporter.

“It's Will now. I will destroy you before you can even land one hit on me.”

“Really,” said the Mares appearing behind Will before he could even blink.
Will quickly turned and punched the Mares in the face. Only for it to disappear in a puff of smoke. “I don't lie.” replied Will. He turned and punched and hit the Mares at the exact moment it appeared.

“How did you learn to fight so well? I read in a mission report that you were decimated by a group of three Silencers.”

“You learn things in Prison. Like how to use natural energy to fuel attacks instead of energy from your medium.”

The Mares looked at Will in astonishment. All of a sudden it felt a searing pain and a loud rumbling noise. Will had been using a Energy Clone to fight. While he had been charging enough natural energy to finish off the Mares in one hit. He flew down behind the Mares and thrust his Pyron into its back while the clone stabbed it with a normal Pyron.

“I told you I would destroy you before you could even hit me.” Will walked over to the transporter and set a time detonated electric spirit explosive. He set it for 30 seconds and flew at full speed through the portal.
~
Rob was beginning to get overrun by Silencers and Lesser Demons. When Will finally flew back through the portal and grabbed him.

“Why are you flying so fast?” asked Rob.

“To get out of range. I set an explosive. It will short out the transporter so fast that some of the shock will hit Earth.

All of a sudden there was a huge lighting storm. Will flew even faster. He threw Rob just as a small bit of lightning struck him. He began plummeting to Earth.

Ruk appeared and caught him. “Will, I am going to make a barrier around your house. The Demons are heading there in such high numbers that Criss will never be able to hold them off. And you won't be awake until they are out of your range to catch them,” Ruk said to Will who was laying passed out on the ground. He knew he could hear him because he was transmitting this message to his conscious. “The only problem is. The size and strength of the barrier needed to be produced is to great for me to do with my energy alone. I am going to sacrifice my entire life force. This way the barrier will be permanent. Don't worry about losing your exorcist powers. I have already given you half of what I had. The capacity of it will eventually increase after you combine it with some natural energy. So I guess this is good bye my friend.”
~
Criss couldn't help but be horrified by the number of Demons there was. And the number were increasing. All of a sudden Ruk appeared beside of her.

“Good bye,” he said. Criss could have sworn she saw a tear on his cheek. His body began to glow and it exploded into shards of light surrounding the house. A large orb of light covered the entire residence including the yard and neighbors houses. It lost its brightness and became clear.

The Demons were falling like flies when they hit the barrier.

~Epilogue~

Maxine stood as best as she could and took one step then another. She began to fall but strong steady hands caught her. She looked up at her dad and smiled. Will and Criss were laughing and smiling. Maxine had just taken her first steps.

He let go of her and she walked over to the Camellia bush and picked a few flowers . She threw them in the air and fell on her butt. The petals got in her hair and she laughed.
For once they were at peace. They didn't have any worries. Will had completely forgotten about the prophecy. He needn't worry for a few more years, at least.

This looks all messed up even though you writing is good i hope you would have had presented it well, cause you have posted a lot of chapter at one go, and at one glance one will not be able to find which chapter ends where and starts where.. you could have posted the chapters slowly it needn't had been posted at one go.. readers need time to read things.. i'm not a great reviewer but any reviewer or the one who may read will find this very difficult. As for the story i haven't read much but it sounds interesting till then..
