I don't think the Anti-forms in Days were supposed to be actual Anti-forms. Or even shadows, really. They were just like that so that when you were playing Mission Mode as that person (ie, fighting Riku as/with Riku or fighting Saïx as/with Saïx), it wouldn't be confusing. u_u; I considered Mission Mode to be kind of like data fights so non-canon and can't be considered plot, so the fights you encounter in it aren't anything out of the norm and aesthetic changes are only that to avoid confusion.

But it does seem like they aren't trying to explain the secret fights anymore. :/

Slight spoilers for BBS (I don't spoil the secret battle's identity or anything, I just go on about other secret battles in comparison xD):
Spoiler:
Nomura has already said that when you fight Terra/Enigmatic Soldier (or whatever the official name was) in FM+, it's not canon. Sora never actually fights him. This is polar opposite from KH1's added secret battle, where Sora battles Xemnas in FM and the fight is referenced in KH2. (The rest of KH1's additional battles were against heartless or inconsequential enemies so I don't count them as much.) And I assume the same is with BBS. :/ They didn't come up with a new/interesting boss fight that could be tied into the plot at all so they just... didn't bother, I guess?

I guess it's supposed to be kind of like the illusion fights with the Chain of Memories Organization members in FM+, like fighting Marluxia's absent silhouette in Beast's Castle or Zexion in the Underworld. But at least those were pointless additional fights... and were explained away later as data fights when you find the Garden of Assemblage. But for the main "extra" fight to be literally there just for the sake of adding a really hard fight (I think Nomura has said something to this effect) just kinda bugs me. idk, I'd rather they have amped up the Aqua final battle in the epilogue. u_u;;

I mean, I guess I just dislike that even if you beat the secret boss in BBS, all you get for it is a mark in your journal and bragging rights. :( I'd rather get even a slight hint at future game plots. Or something. At least if they'd made the Aqua final battle the "secret" battle (since you do have to do journal-related things in order to get to it, iirc), we'd be graced with the secret ending. (Yeah, you don't even have to beat the secret boss to get the proper ending in BBS.) As a result, I'm really not too bothered that I accidentally saved over my Aqua save file with the epilogue save file... which can't be used to access the secret fight. So I can't do it unless I train someone else and I really don't want to so I don't plan to. :/

Dustflier wasn't particularly hard for me--it takes absolutely forever if you don't have Zero Gear equipped but if you do have it and a few sense panels, it goes down fairly quickly. You just have to watch its patterns and make sure not to do what I did very often, which is accidentally glide out of the area while gliding out of the way fffffff.

I kinda figured that was the case with the Antiforms, but still.... As innovative as this series is, it does seem at times that it's starting to lose its creative spark as far as enemies go. Even the plot (at least for this initial Xehanort Saga) is starting to get repetitive. You wield a BFK. You go from Disney World to Disney World and a couple of Square generated ones, all on a search for some form of the main antagonist Xehanort, just so you can say: Hero SMASH! and smack him around with said BFK. It's actually started to annoy me lately the more I read about BbS... They have indeed answered some long-standing questions, but in doing so have only created twice as many new questions. CURSE TETSUYA AND HIS MYSTERIOUS WAYS!

....

Sorry.

Now that think, though, he and Xemnas have that one thing in common when talking about KH: they're always talking in such a grandiose manner and manage to use that to get away with not answering a single question.

ANYWHO, since you have had the opportunity to play it, Light, how many different Keychains did you ultimately wind up being able to get? And what was your favorite one?

Pretty much the only thing I did not complete in BBS was that extra fight. :> So I got all the different keyblades but my favourite was probably Aqua's final keyblade, Bright Crest.

(Design-wise, I like Destiny Place but it makes the most annoying noise when you hit things with it so I hated using it. ;_;)

I was kidding. I know it'd be horrid. But a quick question I have a feeling I'll regret: WHAT is the obsession with Terra's pants about? Or rather, WHY the obsession?
Terra's Pants is the ultimate KH character. Jack of all trades, master of all. I don't know who that brown haired guy is who is wearing them, though.

. Oh, and don't worry Riolu, I've got a co-owner version of the Aqua one, I'll send you a PM if you want it.
Oh please do!

And Happy belated birthday!

All right, all right! I yield to you and your loyal sovereign, the Pants. They are master, they are supreme. >,>

Anyway, I've been looking at those Keyblades via the KH Wiki, and I gotta say: I'm kinda disappointed in their designs. Aqua's are by far the more creative ones, aside from maybe the Ultima Weapon of this game. What I'm most disappointed with about this game, though, is....

Spoiler:
The "Chi-blade" or X-Blade as some call it. It makes me think it's Square's KH answer to the Soul Calibur. And it actually has a BLADE to it. Meesa no likey dat.

Spoiler:
The X-blade confused the hell out of me because they were still saying "keyblade" when it was spoken but the writing was most definitely not "keyblade". XD;; But it's just a plot device and not really a used keyblade so there's no real worry there. :s It'd definitely be pretty hax if it was a useable one.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of many of the keyblades in BBS. All the ones I liked were Aqua's. u_u

Spoiler:
Yeah. Gotta love how Tetsuya likes to have such insight. But seriously: the "Chi-blade" is seriously the worst idea ever. At least Number XIV made SOME sense, but this is like the fantard's ultimate fantasy for this series. And you know what wouldn't suprise me in the least? In the final part of this Saga, the X-Blade comes back, and Xehanort finally succeeds in opening KH.

My favorite humorous keyblade, though, has gotta be that Tower of Sweetness Keyblade or whatever it's called. It is probably the most original (although highly suspected on my part) Keyblade to be made.

Spoiler:
Well, I dunno. I think it's kind of logical. :( Or it makes more sense to me than a lot of subplots in KH, anyway. I think it's one of those things where you have to play the game and see the story unfold for yourself. Seeing someone's leaked summaries/translations just isn't the same.

I know when I was trying to explain Xion to a friend who didn't care about spoilers before Days came out in English, he said it made nooo sense, but once the English version came out, he understood. I don't think my explanation was bad, but now that KH's story is getting more and more twisted/puzzling, it's just hard to keep track of everything in your own language, let alone translations that may not cover every important detail. XD;

But the X-blade isn't too confusing. @@; And though it may not necessarily come back, I've no doubt Xehanort is still around and still trying to screw around with KH. >:O

The ice cream one? Yeah it's... it's certainly different. XD;

Yeah. The ice cream one. Ever since.... was it CoM or 2 that had the ice cream references? I dun remember..... But I have been expecting a Keyblade that looks like an ice cream sunday for awhile.... Ice cream has just been an important thing so far, so it's only natural that they'd want to symbolize that in a Keyblade.

Spoiler:
It's funny.... I spoiled myself for Days as well, but I understood the Xion thing really well. They were building on subtle hints previously mentioned in the series. With the X-Blade, nothing was mentioned by anyone, not even Yen-Sid, who has such a mysteriously vast amount of knowledge where the Keyblade is concerned. It just seemed.... I dunno.... Too iffy to me. I know the gist of what happens, but since I don't understand Japanese save a few key words, it's harder for me to know the story behind it. I can't find any decent summaries on the X-Blade ANYWHERE, so maybe that's why.

Spoiler:
Well, I'm nowhere near my PSP to even look up cutscenes to give a proper summary (nor have I played it in several months, so I can't do it from the top of my head) but it makes a better subgame plot device than Xion did, at least. @[email protected];

I love Xion but I dislike how her character is pretty much only retconned into the series so that Square-Enix could cash in on the DS crowd with a spinoff. :( The X-Blade may be a bit of a cliché (it's logical but you could still see it coming, I guess) but... idk, at least it didn't seem so out of place/obvious it was just filler for a spinoff game. Even with that subplot, BBS still feels like a full game. @[email protected]

I don't think Birth by Sleep has a soundtrack released yet, since I looked for one yesterday. I have a gamerip one and there's only one spoiler in it, and its for a boss battle. I can edit the name of the track to "Event Boss Battle" and send you it if you want. Most of mine lack names and have generic names, like the Final Boss track on mine is called Battle 1.
That'd be awesome Crys. 8D -sparkly eyes- <3

And darn, they already made an ice-cream one? D: -was gonna try and design a custom one to use as Roxas- (His Days joke weapon shoulda been a giant popsicle rather than an umbrella.) Anyway, my most difficult boss battles:

KH: Riku (Hollow Bastion, I watched that scene where Sora says he's not letting him take Kairi's heart idk how many times), Maleficent dragon. Also had a few issues with the Trickmaster and Clayton, but I put that down to not being used to action RPGs at the time. -.- Though when I played KH on Proud mode, I beat aforementioned bosses the first time I fought 'em. o_o;

CoM: I only got to play the original. >: Silly, silly Europe. Anyway, I have more trouble with beating the Heartless to get out of Monstro's stomach than I do with bosses. XD; I found that game kinda easy, no-one gave me much trouble except for Captain Hook.

Days: That spiky boss in the Coliseum - I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but that was the only thing I had a lot of trouble with.

KH2: Demyx. Darn countdown. >: Luxord and Xigbar were also iffy when I first fought them, but now I've played it so many times I'm used to what goes down. XD;; Oh, and Sephiroth is a beast too. -w-;

BbS: Uhhh... I WANT THIS GAME TO COME OUT IN ENGLISHHH. D:

Yeah.... I know what ya mean. Knowing my history with these things, my opinion will probably cause my mouth to be filled with my foot when I'm done with it, anyway.

I liked Xion, too. Honestly, I seriously prefer her to Kairi and Namine. I can't say anything about Aqua, but definitely better than the other 2. Unlike Kairi who, despite being a pretty cool character, is a happy-go-lucky, usual damsel in distress; Xion was always from the beginning more down to earth and level-headed. Plus, she kicked butt. She brought the mighty Xigbar down in almost an instant! MWAHA! As far as Namine goes, I dunno why, but while I liked her, I felt really bad for her and couldn't appreciate her character like I could Xion.

I only like Naminé in Chain of Memories where she's passive and scared. XD I wonder what that says about me? Haha, idk, it just seemed like way too much of a jump between COM and KH2. In COM she was doing things because she was told to do them but then once she sort of got her free will back and rebelled, she became this sort of omnipotent, all-knowing figure in the series. :/ idk, it kind of threw me off. I still love her (I love all three of the, uh, Kairis XD) but I vastly prefer her character in COM than KH2/Days.

Kairi was my favourite character in KH. I think I always really liked her character design and she is adorable. I can see why people dislike her but I know a lot of people actively hate her too and that makes me sad. :( Especially since they're always silly reasons for hate. D8 But Xion is pretty much Kairi except with the ability/opportunity to fight with and for her friends so that's probably why I like her so much. :'D

But I think it goes Kairi > Naminé (COM) = Xion > Naminé (post-COM) for me. n_n;

As for Aqua... I didn't really expect to like her so much going into BBS but she quickly became my favourite in the game and is probably my favourite character on the "good" side now. :'D

Yeah.... For me, it's not that I dislike any of them, it's just I find I can relate most to Xion.... Her story spoke more to me. I don't wanna say anything more about that, though. I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone who has still yet to beat it. And, from what I have seen of Aqua, I agree: she is indeed my favorite of all the good characters. And, just from knowing more about him, Braig/Xigbar is my favorite villain. He's that come-from-behind underdog villain. I expect him to return in future installments, too.

I really loved Kairi in KH1, but in KH2... I didn't like her so much. |: Perhaps BbS will shed a little more light on things, but I don't get why she randomly got a Keyblade too...

The same with Namine: she was awesome in CoM, but in KH2 she just lost her charm for me. |: I liked how she tried to rebel against DiZ though. One of the reasons why I don't support Roxas x Namine is because I feel that her true purpose was to get Sora back out of guilt for taking apart his memories, rather than to help Roxas. (This is just my opinion, not fact. XD;)

Xion was cool, but my reason for disliking her isn't pairing related, but because I felt that she kinda took over Days. XD;;; Her friendship with Axel and Roxas is cute though, and her journal entries are touching. I feel that if you took her away from being SE's creation though, she'd be regarded as some fangirl's self-insert. >:

Spoiler:
And actually, I saw a lot of Sora in her too.

Pour moi, it's: CoM Namine = KH Kairi > Xion > KH2 Namine > KH2 Kairi

Another thing I've always wanted to know was who was everyone's favorite/most hated Org. member. I know everyone has mentioned it, but I've never seen anything like this since I joined this club. My favorite three, excluding Xion and Roxas, would probably have to be Saix, Axel, and Xigbar. I've always enjoyed Saix because he is so smooth and calm but also freaking crazy. Axel because, well, he's Axel, and Xigbar for reasons that I cannot disclose until BbS comes out. Although... he is really fun in 2 and Days. He's the only one gutsy enough to stand up to Xemnas, too, so that counts for something. My least favorite 3 are Lexaeus, Vexen, and Luxord. Lexaeus was just a useless character to me... Just a filler. Vexen was creepy beyond all belief, and Luxord, while still cool, was ruined because of that stupid fight. I can't stand him because of it.

Favourite three (excluding Roxas and Axel because we all know that they're my top two): Demyx, Xigbar and it's very close between Mansex and Captain Fabulous.

Worst three: Lexaeus, Xion and uhh... That's kinda hard, because the others are all awesome. D: I don't hate Xaldin persay, but he's not as fun to mock as the others. XD;;;

Mansex who? Captain Fabulous what?

Anyway, why don't you like those others? And why do you like the ones you like so much?
Because they are Mansex (X-E-M-N-A-S > M-A-N-S-E-X got it memorised?) and Captain Fabulous (-hair toss, petals all over the place-), and I can poke fun at their masculinity. c:

I like (Axel and Roxas) because I can relate to their characters, not to mention that Axel's amazingly awesome during the whole CoM/Re:CoM thing.

Demyx because he's so goofy, and Xigbar because he's working that whole pirate thing, aaaaand he made me crack up several times during Days.

I don't like Lexaeus because he just stands there with that giant chin of his and Xion because everyone else is more awesome than her. c:

I dislike the Roxas/Naminé pairing because it felt so forced. D: I mean, he meets her and learns she's helping DiZ, the man who tricked him and is keeping him in a false prison of sorts (fake Twilight Town). Then she tells him he's never meant to exist and doesn't seem sympathetic/apologetic in the least when he's upset about it. And then he pretty much disappears into Sora for the rest of KH2 and then suddenly at the end he's all happy to see Naminé (when they appear to trip out Sora & Kairi or whatever). Just. What. D:

I think it can be really adorable when people attempt the pairing in AU fanfiction... and some fanart of it is really cute... but canonly, I really don't see it. And I don't like that they seemed to bring it up out of nowhere and push it all of a sudden in KH2. Even a friendship between the two of them doesn't seem likely. :/ (Not that that usually makes a difference to me--I am queen of unlikely pairings. But I don't feel much of a connection between the two. :/)

And yeah, that's kind of a problem with Xion. D: I don't wanna use the term "Mary Sue" because I think she was a decent character in her own right, but from the moment she was announced, that's all I could think of. "Wow, did Square-Enix just browse fanfiction.net and pick the first overdone plot point they could find?" (Inserting a female Organization member into the group and make her BFFs with Axel & Roxas? Augh, sounded like 8 billion fanfics I've stumbled across. xD) I mean, she turned out okay and I do really like her but it's still not... the most... creative... story. :| oh well.

As for my favourite Organization members! (I always like this topic. :D) Marluxia's my favourite, hands down (even though for quite a few months he held the position of least favourite KH character ever when I got to him at level 40 in the original COM XD). My favourite characters are usually the jerks who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals and the touch of narcissism never hurts. n_n Runner up would have to be Larxene just because she's Larxene. I love herrr. After them I don't have any huge favourites but I really like Xigbar/Braig and Xemnas gets love if only because he makes me laugh my ass off whenever he does anything in Days. (Has anyone ever won/lost/forfeit with him in Mission Mode? It's hilarious.)

Least favourites are Vexen, because he really creeps me out (and it doesn't help that the fandom OTP for him is with Marluxia and uggggggggh that is my least favourite pairing in the series by far >:|). He's just blech. After him, probably Lexaeus because he's not very interesting and his fight in FM+ was way annoying. D: Though I do like the fandom portrayal of him as the Organization "Mom", always doing the housekeeping and stopping fights & arguments, ahaha. But that's fanon and in canon (even in the manga) he's pretty boring. u_u;; Wait, I do like his straightforward approach to things like teaching Roxas how to use limits by smacking him violently with his oversized weapon and massive strength stat and then carrying on the lesson like nothing happened. Okay nvm, Lexaeus is cool and doesn't afraid of anything. n_n;;;

I like pretty much everyone in Organization, I'll admit it. D: Even Vexen has his moments and he is so fun to make fun of, especially in RP.

I used to have to fight Vexen on the GBA version with the sound turned off (even if I loooved hearing 13th Struggle) because his laugh would make me burst out in laughter and then I'd be unable to fight properly and I'd lose every time. XD; It was such a womanly cackle, iirc.
