I will be looking at them soon. I think the reason that happened is because I started getting banned at a few forums and people spreading nasty lies about how I am. I'm not a troller, and neither do I engage in spamming the forums. I've only started getting bad rep since that time, which clearly shows that there's only a few people who would neg rep my posts.
How did you get these reputations in other forums? Why are you so infamous that you are remembered in this forum, and others? Just asking...
You should really just try to ignore some people, if that's possible.

You can't let other actions on one forum reflect how you act on another one. Clearly doing that's caused nothing but trouble for you seeing as how your post quality declined, you got negative repped for it, which basically was like a slap in the face, and you posted this. Even though my original concept of posting in this thread was to give you a slap of reality, I think this thread will really help you make a 180 and change for the better. So in the end, this may have been a better decision than just simply sending a personal message to an administrator. After all, I've seem your convos with most of them and they've gotten you nowhere due to your attitude. You just went from one administrator to another with the same problem.

Good luck.
I don't know what happens when I tell them "this, this and this is happening, can you give assistance?"

People are allowed to give bad or good reputation. You shouldn't take it too seriously though, it's just someone's opinion. Oh and don't be afraid to PM a admin, I'm sure there are some who are mean and friendly, but if you tell them in a kind way, I'm sure they'll try to help you.
Rukario, Hiroshi and Lightning are some of the admins I know well.
Signomi, Abercrombie are some of the mods I know well.

Should they be my ports of contacts for assistance?

Because they hate the way I admin. If I make one wrong move being admin at a forum, they do all they can to get me removed from that position, then when that's happened, the top admin then deletes all the good work I've done, then threatens to ban me if I complain.

That help you?

I'm sure they would be glad to help. Seeing Abercrombie is already trying to help you in the best way, I think you could either PM him and see what happens or you could PM Lightning. Lightning is a very nice admin and I am sure she'll be able to help you. Just remember don't spam them with PM's or VM's, just have patience and they will get to you when they are not busy.

I don't know if the admin reads or replies to it though. I don't see why I should be the one getting negative rep just because they don't like the post. And I still firmly believe the rep comments are insults. I am making a thread so those people that are giving the bad rep can say so and I can tell them to try and tone down the bad repping. :)
If you want them to tone down the bad rep., tone down the negative posts.

Yep, but I complain about small, petty things, but I'm trying to stop that.
I made this thread and lots of good has come out of it. Lots of assistance.

Gee, I've never been referred to as a port before. I'm both disturbed by it and confused at the same time.

I wouldn't mind if you sent me a personal message or visitor message before you post a thread that you're unsure of. That's really what staff are there to do, which many few people don't seem to understand. When I started out as a moderator, I became dedicated to Other Entertainment and became excited when there was something to do.

Once I got over that stress and all, I went back to how I was beforehand, and did my best to help out with helping members who were troublesome at one point improve. That's something I've been praised for by my friends by and something I plan to continue to do. It's kind of strange. I don't have much patience usually, but in these cases, that seems to not really matter.

But sure thing, sweetie. Use me as a port if you please.

Thanks. When I meant port, I meant "should I contact them for assistance?"

Well, what if they just neg-repped you for the lulz? Keep that in consideration.
Then that would be a bit mean. I'm sure it is just because they are tired of hearing complaints and all, but I think that Spey is just trying to work things out right now. Am I right?

You are absolutely right. :) :)

Yes, you should. Whenever you have a problem, talk to the staff, and they'll help.
Thanks for that.

This thread is really just for assistance on what to do if I get negative rep and then to contact staff to see if it's legit or not. Also, it could be considered as a "give Spey some assistance" thread.

Well, you really didn't have to make a thread about it. You could've simply just PM'd one of the staff, I'm sure they wouldn't bite. Though I am sure you know that now so, yeah.

If you ever do get negative rep., and you do think it is offensive, talk to the staff. But with mean/negative posts, brings negative rep., and with good/positive posts, brings positive rep. Remember that.

Reputation is based on personal opinion. Whether you agree or disagree with that opinion, that is not the staff's concern. I believe we should only delete blatant reputation comments with no coherence whatsoever, and in rare occasions only.

There are a lot of cases in which users receive negative reputation for silly things, yet their positive reputation, earned in a fair way, outweighs it.

My advice? Be the mature person. Show the people that disagree with you that you can surpass your negatives with a tempered and friendly behavior in the forums.

That said, I think it's fair to lock this topic now. Now you know you can contact the smelly staff if you need help with anything, or have a couple of questions. Remember you've got your opinion too, and it will let you ignore those who (to an extent) unfairly rep you and prove yourself the better member. Good luck.

Er, I mean, good lock.
