Alright well, these aren't really good, but...for now I'm just posting my very favorite (doesn't currently have a title though XD):

The wind rushes through my hair
I'm standing on a cliff
Don't worry, I don't want to jump
I'm simply looking at the new riff

The riff that has come between us
I wish for it to only go away
To be with you
And know that you will stay

Will you come for me
If I call for you?
Won't you save me
If I fall for you?

I'm drowning in this ocean of pain
And in our fray
I feel the waves rush over my twisting form
My head finally submerges, I can't make my way

Uh...so yeah. Thoughts and all please ^^ I'm a beginner at poetry though, so if it sucks don't shoot me! I'll probably post new ones occasionally. Alright well occasionally happened sooner than I thought. Well, here's another I just finished right now. I've been working on it for about an hour, so I hope you all enjoy:

The Boy (I might rename it, so consider this title temporary)
He grew up without a future
Living in a world of scorn and strife
By the time he was eight
He began to wield a knife

To us he was a freak
Someone that didn't belong
But I knew deep in my heart
That each and every one of them was wrong

When he turned twelve
The world of business feared him
He was a professional assassin
And they knew he could kill them

Everyday I watched the news
Hoping to learn more
But nothing was said about the boy
Until he robbed a store

He stabbed everyone he deemed fit
On that fearful day
The day he turned fifteen
Was when he destroyed those in his way

I read the paper in horror
Knowing what the country was about to do
They were going to cross him
Under the heel of the country's shoe

He hid from them
Until the day he turned eighteen
Then he came to see a girl
Who was just a teen

That girl was me
I broke and let him in
Past the barriers and the walls
Even though it was a sin

He fell with her into bed that night
Together in a mass of limbs and skin
Upon waking the next morning
All she found was left was the used wrapper in the bin

When I turned twenty-one
He was going on twenty-five
They showed his face on the news
They wanted him alive

After years of searching
He began to disappear
His face wasn't on a wanted list
Nor did it seem likely to reappear

Finally I turned twenty-five
He was close to twenty-nine
There was a rap on my window
I knew he was there this time

He begged her forgiveness
For all that he had done
Sorrow was written across his face
He had surely been broken

I took him in
Holding him close
It was then I knew
He strayed from the path he originally chose

He was a childhood friend and playmate
But now he was her lover
Condemned by the law to death
She would never let him smother

We grew older together
Evading the law as we went
Finally we settled down
Both our running days were spent
