A lot of you Final Fantasy fans will probably have heard of this and know it's on the Wii.

I found this to be a huge disappointment. Story was fine, battle mode was fine but the thing is this is on Wii. The graphics were horrible for Wii, Nintendo 64 had better graphics than this.

The graphics were rather similar to the GBA version of FFIV only worse.

Here's FFIV advance:

Now here's FFIV:After Years on Wii:

A Nintendo Wii game shouldn't be looking like that, it should like this:

This game was originally a mobile phone game, graphics like this doesn't surprise me. A proper Wii game should look like Brawl, not a mobile phone game sold through WiiWare.

Haven't played the game though, so can't say if it's good or bad. Final Fantasy IV for the DS was amazing though, one of the best games I've played recently.

This isn't a retail game. It wouldn't look like Brawl even if it were supposed to simply because the game would either be about 10 minutes long or, you know, it'd have to be sold in stores on a disc. :( The heavier the graphics, the bigger the final file size of the game and as far as I know there are restrictions on WiiWare and whatnot. To get around that, Squeenix chose a familiar style of graphics that works in many ways and just used that.

Besides, you'll notice that most games on the Wii don't look anywhere near as polished as Brawl did, WiiWare/VC or retail. <_<

Anyway, I might grab this eventually but I still have to play FF4. :(

Play the GBA version; it's the definitive imo. The translation is still over-so-slightly better in the DeJap version but the portraits and other niceties of the GBA version make up for it. The NDS version..well...it's *okaaay*; but it's just not the same, you know?

It was originally a game for mobile phones. But there isn't a big market for it. So they made it WiiWare as well.

I haven't played it so I can't say anything about it!
