Well like the title says, my family is having a litter of puppies. My family shows dogs as a hobbie. My Parents are breeders of some famous dogs (14 of top 20, Top 20 Obedience, Etc.) So Today my dog is giving us some puppies! the breed is doberman and Two Puppies have been born. Both of them are ok (as far as we can tell) and are pretty active. im pretty tired for as it is 4:03 am and this started at 8 pm (well we stayed in that room since then) We are expecting 4 or 5 more so im going to miss the rest of the day. i will try to get some pics of them in the week. Wish us luck!

So are you the midwife? If so then yeah, I hope it goes alright.
I've done it with sheep once. Spending whole nights surrounded by frozen, stagnant air with the constant concern of a lamb dying is not nice. But I suppose you're in your house rather than an unheated stable in the countryside.

I was surprised to hear you say a Doberman breed of all dogs, because I myself have an eight month old female Doberman with me as well. She was spayed as we adopted her from the humane society. Dobermans, besides their bad name are truly lovable dogs and I adore mines most definitely. I wish you and your parents good luck bringing up the little Doberman puppies and your mother dog as well. I know they can be very active while growing up, but with good training they'll be very decent. My dog actually learned things quite quickly as the breed itself are fast learners. Hopefully they will all earn a great home and become champion dogs of their own one day.

Thanks for all the nice words! (Kind of had a feeling it is in the wrong place) 5 puppies have been born and are all pretty healthy. one has a deformed paw known as lobster claw. it isn't bad but not good for showing. we believe that there is one more puppy. were hoping that it would come out later tonight or we will have to do a xray tommorow then C-section. btw we put little rick rack colors around them to tell them apart. the Green one is my favorite. his nick name is Tumble weed :P

So your dog had babies? Good luck training them with your parents. Your family is #14 in the top 20? That's pretty good.

Awww! Look at their cute little faces! <3333 I miss when my dogs had puppies. . =( Puppies are adorable and so much fun to take care of. =] Good luck, though, 'cause when they get older, they're quite a handful. They love shoelaces, hair, fingers, and anything that dangles. XD Caution, my friend, caution.

Also, don't forget to gently bring them into solid foods. Keep their formula in the solid foods before you give them just solid food. Wipe them down with a baby wipe after they eat and before they go to bed. Clean their pen out every three hours as well. Keep plenty of newspaper down and give them plenty of water.
