I actually stopped following the competitive metagame shortly after R/S were released simply because of the overhaul the battle system underwent between genII and genIII. There are too many factors going into your battling pokemon that it's impossible for you to carry the pokemon you beat the game with into a tournament and expect to win. I can still make a good team on NetBattle or Shoddy, but the attachment isn't there if I didn't battle with them throughout the game. You see where I'm going?
Hacked pokemon are the same thing, but used in the actual main games. I'd love to get back into competitive battling, but it's just too time-consuming to raise good battling pokemon from eggs, and hacking pokemon destroys the fun in raising said pokemon. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. :P
Yeah, but I don't exactly consider EV training fun. I consider it tedious. XD
It depends. Like, if they hacked just to learn a move they could learn at an extremely high level , then I think it's ok.
But if they hack all their stats to 999 or have 252 EV's in every stat, then probably not
Yep, that's what I'm getting at. But then... you wouldn't be able to use hacks like that on Wifi anyway.
Basically, I say... anything impossible is not alright. If it's possible to get it legitimately, it's fair game.
