I just bought a T8300 off of eBay, well at least that is what it was supposed to be, however I threw it in my laptop, and it would not boot, so I looked at the processor and was disturbed to not see "T8300" on it.

Now I know that it may not have it on there, but my Celeron 550 has "550" on it, so I was expecting to find it on there.

Not panicking (yet) I do a quick google search for one of the numbers towards the top of the processor, which is "57338379", and get a bunch of results that don't seem to relate to computers, so I move down and do a search of "FF80577", and I get this page

Now I know that is the right page because it also says something about "Q5DL" Which is also printed on the processor.

Now I know I don't have a T8300 cause This processor has a FSB of 1066MHz, and My POS Acer won't take anything higher than 800, which explains the reason it wont boot.

So my question is, What exactly did I get. I know that I have a Q5DL, but what family is it in? For example, the T8300 is a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile.

Thanks.
I really need a new signature.
