At my house, nobody really cooks anything for breakfast or lunch, and as such, me and my siblings have to come up with our own recipes or have more PB&J. We are homeschooled, so this happens much more often than normal, but we've all been there, right?

So, my question is, what do you do for food when you gotta do it yourself? Any weird or unexpectedly good-tasting creations?

I suppose I'll start basic. I essentially toast two pieces of bread, heat up the oven, put some lunch meat, cheese and ranch dressing on said toast, and cook that in the oven until the cheese melts all through. While not escaping the realm of sandwiches, it's pretty darn good for a hot lunch if you need it.

I usually make omelets for breakfast when I get to cook...
Not much crazy or weird stuff has been mixed in, so far.
I'd be scolded if I waste ingredients for experimental dishes.

Oh, and when I don't feel like cooking, I just prepare sandwiches.

I'm learning how to cook from my mum- tomorrow she's gonna teach me to make apple crumble. 83 Sometimes I'll make dinner for my family- it depends on what it is that they want though. XD

I suck at putting lunches together though... Usually I'll grab some junk food... XD

I check the fridge. End of story.
But seriously, if I'm hungry and my parents aren't around, I usually go microwave a hotdog/corndog or make a sandwich.

Although, sometimes I might cook a frozen dinner or something.

Well, since I loooooooove cooking, I often times(when I'm not too lazy) make my own things. Like eggs, and hasbrowns, and bacon. Its that or starve >.> mostly because I'm still hungry after my meals, but you'd never guess it considering I'm only 87 pounds, and like 6% body fat or something <.<

I just pull out Ye Olde Toastede Sandwiche Machine and slap some cheese and spaghetti between bread. Leave for 3-15 minutes (very erratic machine), return with sauce, and nom.

When I used to wake up early and go to school, I always cook some omelletes and prepare some hot chocolate for breakfast. Now, I'm content with bread and butter with the same old hot choco.

This is hard for me considering I don't normally eat breakfast nor lunch. If I have what I need, I guess I'll cook a full meal since I enjoy cooking so long as I don't have to be the one to clean the dishes afterword. If I'm just looking for something to pull me over until dinner (which is usually the case), I'll just eat a small snack that I find in the cabinets.

In order of availability:
1. Lunchables (those things are awesome, and they sell them on-campus)
2. Ramen
3. Sandwich
4. Crackers + cheese
5. Getting off my lazy butt and going out to actually buy something (usually ends up being this, since I try not to buy a lot of food so that I'm forced to use my meal plan meals)

I don't have any odd ways of making stuff to eat. I don't cook very much at all. I just get something from the freezer and microwave it. Or I'd have some Spaghetti-Os and have that. If I have cereal, I'd eat that and if I have peanut butter and jelly, I'd have that if I felt like it.

Besides, I RARELY eat breakfast. Maybe 4-5 times a year.

Hey, Mario, ya really should have breakfast, its eating that makes you leaner. Personally, I always cook a decent meal every three hours and try to leave my pigging out for cheat days (they're recently becoming armagedon days), but when sweet tooth kicks in and I really can't hold it or at least take time to make anything decent, it's bread with halvarine and coccoa powder, 45s of microwave and going to town with it. Instant pasta with olive oil and garlic is also something I can't resist every now and then. I also have this crazy cook periods that come and go every six months or so, when I feel like cooking all day long and always have some acarajé, guacamole, banana cake or calzone ready to wolf down.

I tried my hand at making cheese on toast...
It didn't go that well... The cheese was meant to be all gooey turned out mine was all burnt...

So, if i don't have any instructions i think it's safe to say that i am quite crap at making my own dinner/lunch..
