opkay, PC, another...stumper for ya'.

I was at a friends house practicing SSBB on the wii, with gamecube controllers. My sister was there, and, she was carrying something. She walked by, trip on a cord, and the Wii fell face first onto the carpet, about three feet.

Now, it turns on okay and everything (the screen had gone black), but NOW, it won't read discs.

BUT apparently, we were playing around, and me and my sister GET KICKED OUT!

My friends dad calls my mom, and explains (weve told her by now), and keeps saying his Wii is BROKEN!.
So, what should we do? And how does it get fixed to read discs? HURRY PC I'M COUNTING ON YOU!

You probably can't do anything to fix it yourself. It might be broken, it might not, who knows. You should consult Nintendo for repairing the drive, thinking it might be the cause of problems. Just call Nintendo Customer Service to arrange a repair on your Wii. Their number is on the back of your Wii. They know best.

Obviously, the fall damaged the disc system somewhere. Does the disc spin when you put it in? If there's no signs of physical damage, chances are they could get it fixed under warranty ("because it just stopped working one morning"). Otherwise... you know the situation.

Big lesson: Get Wavebirds.

A few things....

1) their warranty isn't there. In other words, its expired.

2) It isn't MY Wii, and the way he said it, it's like he/they want us to by them a new one.

So, should we offer help?

I heard that it's 95 dollars to get a repair without warranty....

call Nintendo, they have amazing customer service, at least NOA does, I can't say for Europe. Even if it isn't under warranty they'll fix it for you, you have to pay, but I imagine it would be cheaper than a new Wii (if it isn't, buy them one of those sexy black ones). But I've had Nintendo actually put my Wii back under warranty when died,

I say push let your sister handle it. She's the one who tripped isn't she?

re-reading your story, you should be lucky your sister didn't fall over and break her neck, since your friend's dad was careless enough to leave the cords all over the place so anyone could have tripped over them.

The best thing to do is have nintendo fix it. Tell you friend to call customer service and ask them to fix it. Even though they have to pay a fee because they dont have a warranty, it will be worth it since they are apparently complaining about it.

They seem very ticked about this...it was an accident and you guys get kicked out...sounds like this guy is a little overprotective about his wii(I know i am too but if one of my friends broke it, it would be ticked but not ask them to fix it unless they offer...it bad hosting). Tell HIM to call customer service and see what can be done. If it requires a fee, pay it and get it over with it. But i wouldn't suggest hanging out with him. He dosen't seem very pleasant....

Okay, a few things....

1) lolz. Black IS sexy.

2) My sister is in the first grade. She cannot 'handle it'. lolz

3) Tehnically, it wasn't HIS wire, seeing as it was the controller.

4) Apparently, we got kicked out because WE (yes, me too) didn't say sorry. My sister, being a first grader, has NO MANNERS what-so-ever. And..apparently, i did nothing AT ALL and yet, I am supposed to say sorry?

God, I wish I could still talk to my friend....D:

Tact will get you everywhere. Apologize for her if she's not going to do it (DO NOT admit guilt, though; you didn't do it, so don't say that). Also, if he let you play it unsupervised, I believe the blame is on him (though I'm not a lawyer, so don't quote me on that); however, the decision of whether to pay for repairs is really up to your parents, unless you're over 18. Discuss it with them and see what they say (make sure they understand that your SISTER was the one to break it).

Hmm......Have You Tried Calling Up Nintendo? If Not, Get One Second Hand From a games Store. The Guy above me has a point. Buying a new one is up to your parents until your an adult(Over The age of 18). That's Legally anyway.

And apparently Graceful is still alive after a very long hiatus ♥
