Spoiler:

The red path is walkable ground, The white area apart from the white square with the red dot, is non-existant ground, like in mortys gym. If you step on the white area, you will be returned to the entrace.
The red dot is the Gym Leader.
The cyan dots are the trainers.
The green dots are paralyze traps. Step on these, and you'll be returned to the entrance, but with one of your pokémon paralyzed.

Hey everyone! Thanks for all the submissions this round! I have been very busy today so I haven't gotten a chance to comment on all of them, so I will take that chance now =)

Charmageddon - I can't wait to see that Ground gym! Great job on the Dark Gym, though you listed the Gym Leader's type as Psychic =P. The levels + formatting are perfect, and its so cool that you drew a map for your gym! The gym flows together very nicely. What I mean by that is that you made the evolution progression work flawlessly; you gave them power while still keeping it at a reasonable difficulty for Gym 2. I hope to see many more submissions!

Killer95 - The gym levels and gym trainers are done perfectly, however I would like to see more fully evolved Pokemon out of your Gym; maybe evolve Larvitar to Pupitar and Bronzor to Bronzong. It is really well done, but I want this rom to be challenging in both levels and evolution stage. Just add those suggestions, or even take them in another direction. I love your Round 2 battle; it is cool to see how a gym evolves into a Round 2 gym! However, I want to keep the maximum amount of Round 2 pokemon to 5, so if you could take one out, I would appreciate it. Great gym, and cool concept with an Earth Gym.

Phantom Renegade - Your gym is awesome too. The level progression, evolution progression, and formatting is all there. Also, your gym map is great; thank you for including that, as it helps me get a better picture of the gym. Another point that I like about your gym is that the Round 2 set is competetively viable. Electrode is a great Rain Dancer, and your team makes the best of that with STAB Thunder. I also really enjoyed the character of your gym leader: it made for an interesting read. Great job on the whole.

So far this round, I have 4 great options to choose from; there are 3 & a half hours left until I make my final decision for Round 2, so keep them coming!

ok ill make some fixes is that alright to do.

EDIT:I did some fixes like deleted Magnezone from the team and made everyone else strong, then i took your advise and made Larvitar and Bronzor evolve then deleted confusion for psychic to make the battle tougher

I encourage you to! The entry form is just to give you a basis, I want you to be as creative as possible. Thank you so much for taking my advice Killer95, I really like your gym!

An hour and a half is left until the deadline is up: any gyms posted before then will be evaluated, critiqued, and taken into account! And remember, if you don't win the Gym this round, keep submitting. It is an extremely tough choice for me this round, because all of the gyms that have been brought to the table are excellent.

EDIT: I totally missed the Freebreeze Village Gym by You Had Me At Hello here's my commentary:

I loveeee it: The formatting is great, I love the HG/SS sprites, I like your choice of pokemon, however there is just one minor nitpick I have:

~The Gym Leader has Pelipper & the trainer has Gyarados, when Gyarados is the far superior Water/Flying. If you have a specific reason for choosing this please tell me, otherwise I'd like to see that edit. Other than that, it is truly a great gym!

Hey, I got my gym in as the first one! Awesome! Thanks for letting me help out with your hack Maci. I'll be browsing around here quite often, mainly because I'm interested in how this turns out. I may throw in a gym submission around here and there, but I'm really saving up for the Elite 4, where I have some very good choices picked out from my old fanfic... Anyways, enjoy this project!
I'm back. But not as active as before. 2 years has been too long.

Thanks :)

The reason was that originally she trained just bird pokemon (have bird like shape), and then expands to other flying types (Crobat and Altaria) in order to beat you second time around. If you think Gyarados would be better however, I'm happy to edit it. I'll just change the wording of Sky's speeches. :)

Okay, the results are in (and a bit late, I fell asleep at 11:50ish last night so I couldn't post the results =P), and I have a Round 2 Winner.......

Congradulations Phantom Renegade, your gym was extremely creative, follows all of the level & format guidelines, and you also added a map to further boost your creativity. This gym also pairs extremely well with the first gym, as the first gym is Water.

To those who did not win, it was an extremely tough choice, and all the submissions made it even harder. Keep submitting gyms, there are 6 more to do and the Elite 4!

Round 3: Gym 3 is up. It has the same formatting requirements as Round 2. The Gym 3 level range is as follows:

Gym 3 - 25 - 34 [Round 2 = 73-77]

Remember, because we hit the max level in Round 2 (28), you must have pokemon of at least level 29, no lower, but you can go as far as 34 and still be within the limits. I am looking for at least 2 fully evolved pokemon on this gym leaders team.

HAPPY GYM MAKING, I WISH YOU ALL LUCK!

@ Darkfox, I used MS Paint for the map. If you want to publish in on PC, go to a picture uploading site like flickr or photobucket (but actually, I've only found photobucket working out for me), upload it, copy the picture link, click on the "insert image" button, and paste the link in the box that appears. I'm loving how active this Round is already! Sorry I missed so much; I was at school =P. I will try and answer/comment on everything done!

Zeta Dimentio:
Are you stuck with one type in this? Or can you use more then one?
You can do a maximum of two types, though you can have some random others in there as well. For example, someone posted and Earth gym (Rock/Ground), but they threw in a couple Earth-Like Steels. There really aren't defined limits, but just don't go insane =P.

Night Walker: I like your persistence with the gym =). It's great, and I like the touch of the custom sprites. Everything is well done in it: Formatting, Extra Touches, its great, but I have one suggestion: evolve the Round 1 Sneasel into a Weavile, as it gets some huge gains on evolving, but besides that critique, I don't have much more to say. Great job!

Fire Wolf: I love the gym! The legendary that you used in Round 2 is fine; I encourage you to use any pokemon that is in the OU tier or below (with the exception of Celebi & Jirachi). The level and evolution progression is great in your gym, and I really like how you progressed into the Round 2 Gym. The "critique" I have is that your gym trainers don't need movesets, but that just shows me how interested you are in the concept; going the extra step =).

Phantom Renegade:
Yay! Second time really is the charm! :D I'll probably continue pulling gyms out of nowhere, but this really boosts my motivation!

Haha I'm glad you feel encouraged, I would love to see more gyms from you =).

Charmageddon:
I'm gonna skip this round... I've got ideas for the 4th, 5th, 7th and either the 8th gym or E4, I haven't decided. So I'm just gonna start work on my gym 4 now.
I understand. I can't wait to see even more developed work after this round, good luck!

Killer95: I have some good news and some bad news. Let's start with the bad news: that is not going to be the round three gym. However I really like the concept of a Beauty Trainer, so Briana is going to be the contest rival to the protaganist, so when you go into Pokemon Contests, you fight her. This means she won't need any trainers, but she will need 4 rounds. The rival level range I would like to see is:

Battle 1: 20-26
Battle 2: 34-39
Battle 3: 49-53
Battle 4: 68-73

If you aren't interested in that, just say so, but if you are, edit your existing post to be a rival. Usually I would take care of rivals after the Elite 4 is done, but I hadn't even considered a contest rival until now, so if you are interested, Briana will be one of the 4 Rivals.

This is a note for everyone else: JUST BECAUSE I SAW THIS GYM AS A RIVAL DOES NOT MEAN I WANT TO SEE ANY MORE RIVAL BATTLES AHEAD OF TIME.

Haha, they aren't =P Like I said earlier, my Rom Editor doesn't allow me to put in movesets for the Pokemon Trainers, so that isn't required.

Okay, we had 5 gyms posted on the first day that is more than all of round 2!

I have to go now, but a full list of comments and criticisms will be posted around 3:30 EST (7:30 Forum Time).

Remember, the gyms are due at 12:00 a.m. EST, so keep them coming!

@ poison Pokemon Rules: I think its alittle to early to be doing the Elite Four or the Camp. How about this, you hold on to your idea and wait untill we are able to make the Elite Camp. oh, and another thing, your idea is good, but there's already a gym with water types pokemon, so i would advise using another type of pokemon. and one more thing, theres two rounds. sorry for putting your idea down, i was just pointing things out. But your idea is very good.

Also, Maci already has the champ sorted out, we only submit the Elite Four members.

On a slightly related note, I think that the Elite Four should be Grass, Rock, Flying and Electric trainers, as they (along with Normal) are the only types not yet used by the Elite Four.
"Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favourites."
