i have a thought. for those in the top three, they can't vote. it'll be unfair for them to vote for themselves.
Of course they can vote for themselves, if they all vote for themselves, their votes are canceled out anyways.
Come join the Project: Creating a Pokemon League II and create your own gym to compete against other people!

Syrynn voted for Phantom's gym so that didn't happen that round.

Anyway, I'm thinking ahead to round seven, since I don't have 3 hours free until Friday. I got my type and Pokemon and such, but I'm trying to come up with some extravagant puzzle to put it over the top. Hopefully I will think of it by Friday.

@ Everyone: Thanks a lot for voting on me! It does wonders for a simple soul. I'll try my best to keep up the competition but we all know you aren't that intelligent

Syrynn, I'm working on an Ice-type gym at the moment. Your dragons will never survive the cold... :P

I voted for Phantom's gym because I felt his was superior.

It's as simple as that.

Preview of one of Guardian 3's incorrect form speeches:

Speech (If in incorrect form, Altaria)
Sorry, beautiful, but you're too pretty for me to smack around. I'm up for a date later, though! Trill out to me, baby!

Okay, I'll put this one out early.

Gym Name: Estrella City Gym
Type: Dragon
Gym Number: 6

Gym Sign
Estrella City Gym
Leader: Wyatt
The draconian bombardier!

Gym Nerd
Hey there, champ in the making! You've reached the sixth gym, and boy is this one a doozy. Your battling skills will be tested in more ways than one in this draconic paradise. Use your wits and the strength of the dragons to get through!

Gym Structure
Spoiler:
The gym is set up into three long hallways and one main chamber, in a sort spiral shape. It's very linear, but the challenge lies more within the battle mechanics themselves. (Note: will provide basic layout picture in a bit)

Hall 1
The opening hallway has the gym nerd by the usual statues. Two squares in front of the entrance, a tile that makes you human sits to prevent the trainer from leaving the gym as a Pokemon. Halfway down, two trainers double-team you from each side. At the end of the hall, a third trainer meets you as you enter the main fork. On the left is a glowing tile that turns you into a Dratini. The rightmost path leads to a corridor guarded by a single Altaria. Beat her to make her move upward into the sole open space. Just past the Altaria, another glowing tile restores the trainer's human form.

Hall 2
The second hallway has a pair of trainers. One hits you a third of the way up, and the other meets you at a two-way junction, as in the first hall. This time, the fork splits up and down. Up leads to a pair of tiles. The left one transforms you into Dratini, and the right one turns the trainer into an Altaria. Down leads to the second guardian, a Flygon. Beating him unlocks the third hallway, and just past the Flygon sits another human-form tile.

Hall 3
Hallway three has just one trainer, meeting you halfway down. At the end, the road forks yet again. Right leads to a trio of tiles. Left is Flygon, middle is Dratini, and right is Altaria. The left path leads to the Salamence guardian. Beat him to make him move, then turn right past the guardian, heading upward toward the main chamber.

Main Chamber
Wyatt stands alone inside the main chamber. There are three tiles in front of him. The leftmost is Dratini, the middle is Altaria, and the right is Salamence. The trainer is free to choose the form before taking on Wyatt.

Round One Trainer Layout
Spoiler:
Gym Trainer 1/2 (Double Battle)
Spoiler:
Cooltrainer Drake & Beauty Susan

Opening Speech
Drake: Dragons are insanely powerful! You'll fall apart before our strength!
Susan: Not only are they strong, but dragons can be beautiful and agile!

(Drake)
Bagon Lv. 43

Shelgon Lv. 44

(Susan)
Dratini Lv. 43

Dragonair Lv. 44

Closing Speech
Drake: I almost forgot that they're not invincible. Thanks for reminding me.
Susan: Sometimes even the most gorgeous of titans must fall.

Final Words
Drake: The transformation tiles help us to better understand our dragons. Also, our door guardians don't let humans through.
Susan: Dragons can be very territorial, and often attack each other to solve arguments. That's why dragons beat each other up so well; they've had millennia of experience.

Gym Trainer 3
Spoiler:
Socialite Flarina

Opening Speech
There are special tiles blessed with draconic power behind me. Let me see if you're worthy to behold their glory.

Horsea Lv. 44

Seadra Lv. 45

Closing Speech
You pass. The dragons will permit you to borrow their strength.

Final Words
Wyatt's a really intelligent and mechanical person. He spent more than four years working on the special tiles you see strewn across the gym floor.

Dragon Guardian 1 (Must be in Dratini form)
Spoiler:
Altaria

Speech (if in human form)
The Altaria sits guarding the passageway, seeming to wait for someone... or something. She looks at you and goes to sleep. Maybe if you were someone else...

Opening Speech (if in correct form, Dratini; first meeting)
Hello, trainer! Yes, I can tell you're under the tile's spell, due to the small black band across your neck. Since you're currently in Pokemon form, why not take the time to try out some of the draconic powers you've been bestowed? If you win, I'll let you through.

Opening Speech (If you declined the first time)
Are you now ready to experience the power of the dragons, trainer?

Opening Speech (After a loss)
Are you prepared to try once more, then?

Yes
Very well! I'm your first rite of passage. Don't worry; if you lose, you can just try again.

No
Not feeling the strength yet? No worries. Come back when you're ready to take the test, young one!

Altaria Lv. 46

Closing Speech (Win)
Excellent work! You've shown me proof of your strength.

Final Words (Win)
You may pass through, friend. Be wary, for the other guardians are much tougher than I!

Final Words (Lose)
Hmm. You weren't good enough that time. Try again, dear.

Gym Trainer 4
Spoiler:
Rich Boy Connor

Opening Speech
Dragons are a great way to make money! For example, my Dragonite rakes in loads of cash in modeling contracts!

Dragonite Lv. 48

Closing Speech

Of course, focusing entirely on looks doesn't make them the greatest battlers.

Final Words
I think if I used the dragon tiles more, I could improve my opinion on what dragons are really about.

Gym Trainer 5
Spoiler:
Veteran Jeremy

Opening Speech
With all the pampering my dragons get, they get mighty eager for a good piece of meat to feast on! They say you look pretty tasty right about now!

Dragonair Lv. 47

Gabite Lv. 47

Vibrava Lv. 47

Closing Speech
Bleah! Your scales are too tough to sink into!

Final Words
Don't worry, my buddies don't eat fellow dragons, so you're safe getting on the tiles. But our door guardians only take on opponents they deem strong enough.

Dragon Guardian 2 (Must be in Altaria form)
Spoiler:
Flygon

Speech (if in human form)
The Flygon stares at you with intent eyes. He's not inclined to move for humans, it seems.

Speech (if in incorrect Pokemon form, Dratini)
Sorry, little one, but only strong warriors are allowed back here. Come back when you're more evolved.

Opening Speech (if in correct form, Altaria; first meeting)
Good to see another gym challenger! If you wish to enter the third chamber, you'll need to defeat me in a battle! Ready, then?

Opening Speech (If you declined the first time)
Hey, you! Change your mind? Then you're ready to go, I take it!

Opening Speech (After a loss)
Think you've buffed up enough, eh? Want to go for a rematch?

Flygon Lv. 49

Closing Speech (Win)
Nice skills! Master Wyatt would be most proud of that show you put on.

Final Words (Win)
Okay, you're free to go. Make me proud, brave one!

Final Words (Lose)
That didn't hurt at all! You'd better shape up and try again!

Gym Trainer 6
Spoiler:
Scientist Heath

Opening Speech
I love studying dragons. They're truly some of the most majestic creatures ever.

Altaria Lv. 48

Kingdra Lv. 49

Dragonite Lv. 49

Closing Speech
Like all other creatures, they too have their weak areas! Well played, friend.

Final Words
Every trainer has a different way of interacting with dragons. This gym seeks to serve as a stepping stone for all who wish to grow stronger by becoming more in tune with their inner dragon.

Dragon Guardian 3 (must be in Flygon form)
Spoiler:
Salamence

Speech (If in human form)
The Salamence seems to ignore your presence.

Speech (If in incorrect form, Dratini)
Get lost, pipsqueak! I don't battle small fries.

Speech (If in incorrect form, Altaria)
Sorry, beautiful, but you're too pretty for me to smack around. I'm up for a date later, though! Trill out to me, baby!

Opening Speech (If in correct form, Flygon; first meeting)
You look like a strong trainer. Master Wyatt's back in the room behind me, but first I need to size you up. Bring on the fury!

Opening Speech (If you declined first time)
You came around, eh? Let's go all out. NOW.

Opening Speech (After a loss)
Back for another beatdown? I'm more than willing to plaster you again!

Yes
Good answer! Show me what you're made of!

No
What!? Then why are you bothering me? Get lost until you're ready!

Salamence Lv. 50

Closing Speech (Win)
Yes! That's exactly what I needed to see from you.

Final Words (Win)
Master Wyatt will be most happy to take you on. Don't leave him waiting, now!

Final Words (Lose)
That was simply pathetic! Next time you'd better improve over that showing!

Gym Leader (must not be human to challenge)
Spoiler:
Wyatt

Appearance
Spoiler:
Wyatt is a tan male, about in his mid-twenties, with long, flowing red hair. His wardrobe consists of a red dress shirt and black dress pants with white flame symbols running up the legs. His shoes are a light brown.

Opening Speech (If in human form)
I apologize, but you need to be in Pokemon form for this final challenge. Pick a tile in front of me and I'll explain.

Opening Speech (In a dragon's form)

So, you've made it to me at last. I run things very differently than you'd expect. The tiles attest to that. Your current form is a symbol of your strength with the draconic arts. You will battle alongside your Pokemon in a double battle, to prove that both of you are powerful enough to face the challenges of the Dragons. Stand tall and face my dragons, challenger!

*Obtained x amount of money for winning!*

(name), I am proud to bestow upon you the Astral Badge.

*Obtained Astral Badge!*

The Astral Badge lets you keep control of all Pokemon Level 70 or above, and bestows upon you the ability to Surf in the field. Also, allow me to give you this TM.

*Obtained TM02, Dragon Claw!*

Final Words
Come back again someday, and I'll really challenge your abilities.

Round Two
Spoiler:
Gym Leader Wyatt

Opening Speech (If in human form)
Did you forget the drill already? Transform into a dragon and then we'll resume talking.

Here is the map layout of the Gym.

A steel square represents a steel door trap. Steel door traps spring up when the player is one step away from it and prevents the player from moving in that direction.

A light blue square indicates a trainer.

A purple square indicates a toxic spike trap. When the player walks over it, it throws up toxic spikes, and a message will appear saying "(First pokemon in party) was badly poisoned!" The lead Pokemon in the player's party will then gain the badly poisoned status. The player can then safely walk over the trap and continue on.

A brown square indicates a spike trap. When the player walks over it, spikes will shoot out, and a message will appear saying "Your party Pokemon were hit with spikes from a trap!" All Pokemon in the player's party then lose 10% of their health. The player can then safely walk over the trap and continue on.

The red square is the gym leader, and the green square is the gym nerd.

The yellow squares represent the warp points that take you from the gym leader to the gym entrance. These warp points are activated when the gym leader is defeated. Also, the warp point near the gym leader is surrounded by a fence until the gym leader is defeated, making it impossible to go back to the start from that warp point until the gym leader is defeated.

I'm back. But not as active as before. 2 years has been too long.

Boy, Skip's gym looks pretty good. It should prove to be some tough competition.

But I really feel great about this Dragon gym. I'm giving this one my all!

Almost got my gym layout all sorted out for round seven. I think it will turn out pretty good. I'm going to have somewhere between 15 - 25, maybe as much as 30 trainers, so it is going to be a fairly large gym. I'm going to have to figure out how to use those spoiler tab things so that my post won't be outrageously large.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think anything more than 10 trainers is just extravagant and unnecessary. People will just run back and forth to the pokemon centre anyway, and tbh if I saw a Gym with 30 trainers in a hack I'd just stop playing...

That's just my opinion, and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me... but what can you do? :P

Oh man, my Gym's a steel-type too. A bit varied, but even so there can't be two Steel-types... Look out, Skip!

Now working on Gym layout, need to finish Leader data and do Round 2. I'll enter it in Round 7 or 8.

To above: I have 7 trainers, but it's a big Gym. Not too bad, do you think? You'll likely be playing this too, so input isn't a bad thing.

I think that 30 trainers is a little bit too much. Even the toughest gyms in the regular games have like 15 max. Since this hack is designed to be harder than most gyms, however, I think that you can go above that. Probably no more than 17 or 18 trainers for the 7th gym though. Just my two cents.

Also, for spoiler tags... The blue abc button in your message thing when you post a reply creates the tags, you just put the stuff in between the tags, and it works.

I have 10 trainers for this gym, and I think its good. I also put my layout for my gym map in the post, so feel free to have a look at it.
I'm back. But not as active as before. 2 years has been too long.

I'm going to take the time to comment on the three best gyms I've seen this round.

Key:
+: Plus
+-: Neutral
-: Minus

Skip Shot's Steel Gym
Spoiler:
+ The level progression is quite appropriate.
+ I enjoy the looks of the gym.
+ Ten trainers prior to the leader provide a nice challenge and they all balance each other well.
+ Neckel's personality is unique and funny
+ I enjoyed your use of a CAP in Round Two.
+ Best grammar and formatting I've seen this round from any submission.

+- The puzzle is cool, but I'm not really a fan of the status effects you enforce. At the very least, however, it does force the player to learn from their mistakes.

- Kitsunoh's low Sp. Attack doesn't go well with the Special-type Flash Cannon from Round One.
- I personally wouldn't waste Heatran's item slot with a Berry in Round Two. It just doesn't seem practical.
- Do Magnezone and Lucario both need a Life Orb in Round Two? I would think one or the other is enough.

Final thoughts: It's excellent. I give you a solid A, only taking the plus away because I think you can polish up Neckel's party a little more.

Darkfox1525's Dark Gym
Spoiler:
+ Levels progress well, and all are appropriate for the limits.
+ Daniel looks pretty cool, and his 'tough but respectful' attitude contrasts nicely with the previous leader.

+- I love the puzzle, but it might get a little frustrating to have to push every button. I would hate to think I got them all and get burned just because I missed one. Gets annoying to have to travel all the way back to the PC just to heal one mistake.

- Grammar is kind of shoddy overall.
- Holy heck. Sixteen trainers!? That's a little excessive for the sixth gym.
- I think Daniel would be more challenging in Round Two with six Pokemon.

Final thoughts: It's a great gym, but it's plagued by an overly complicated system requiring sixteen battles and sixteen button presses just to reach the leader. I can only give it a C+.

SethMetal37's Dark Gym
Spoiler:
+ You used a very different puzzle. Gyms don't often punish you for battling. A unique and driving concept.
+ Your movesets really complement each other, especially in the Round Two match-up.

+- I like how 'your mom' is a trainer in the gym, but I really think it would be more appropriate if she had a name.

- Why is Arcanine in a Dark Gym?
- Your grammar is pretty off in a lot of places.
- The formatting is weird, and you failed to add the sprites.
- LeAnne and George's Pokemon are all too low in level.
- The 44-46-50-52 split on Anther is too wide.
- I don't understand why Shiftry has Heat Rock without Sunny Day.

Final Thoughts: Fix up the errors, and you could very well make a fine gym! But as is, it's a D gym at best. Sorry.

Notice I left out my gym. Yep, that's right; I'm avoiding self-praise because it's not fair to the ones who worked hard for me to brag about my own work.

Also, don't hate me if you disagree with one of my minus points. I'm just trying to help you for future reference, and I really do enjoy reading your stuff! I just have to be critical of miscues, that's all, because Maci's standards
have gone up this round.

Skip Shot's Steel Gym

I think it's rather useful, actually. That berry is a one-time deal with the devil for a 4x Ground weak pokemon as Heatran, that is, if some guy decides to EQ Tran, the berry is used and half the damage is taken. I'm pretty sure Heatran could handle anything but that, so it gets at least one shot at burning something. I like that. Just my two cents though.

As for the steel gym, I have a question too. Are the traps a one-time deal, or do they activate every single time the person steps on the tile/enters the gym? If that's the case, then you would pretty much force the trainer to use potions and the likes to keep ze pokes healthy for the leader..
Also, would Poison- and Steel-types be immune to the Toxic status from the spiky traps?
+Anti: we were all noobs at some point
+Anti: or in sims' case
+Anti: still are noobs
+Anti: his team looks like a salad

No sorry on reflection I should have put 10 trainers not 5 :embarrass I've edited it now. Sorry bout that. :(

Erm yeah 7 trainers should be fine. My main point was 30 was too many... but we seem to have agreed on that anyway :P

Yeah, i was kinda thinking the same thing. so i decided to tune it down alittle and make it so you only have to press 5 out of the ten best trainers i have in there. that way, you'll still have a challenge and not have an annoying puzzle to go through. I'm working on the grammer as well.
