No offense to anybody who is a fan, but they are really horrible imo. Some of their songs are actually pretty good, but the others seem like they got bored creating the albums and just made everything sound extremely similar.

That and they are horrible live, Prime example, Ozzfest and the Attack of the Show! segment.

They SUCK live htough lol.
That and they are horrible live,
I've heard that they're terrible live. I guess it's true. DragonForce is not much of a band to get into. Yeah, they're guitar shredders, but to sum them up: if you've heard one of their songs, you've pretty much heard them all.
blessed mother. 😈

I am fan of them. If you got a problem with that stand up and say it to my face because they're music has a meaning leaned to a certain kind of person. If you are not that kind of person and don't like their music... just don't complain and get out please? Kthnxbai.

I like one of their songs, Through the Fire and Flames. If you've heard one of their songs you've heard them all, some exceptions probably but I've never cared enough to check. So yeah, very repetitive and not really that great even if they weren't but I do like that one song. I usually tell people who ask me about them to pick one song from them and that will be good enough, no need to buy or listen to any others. Harsh but true.

I like them, just getting fed up with the lyrics, they dont keep up with the song.. well, their theme is fantasy battles and hope so I or not many else would do better, I believe dragonforce is going to get flamed ALOT in this topic :P

yes, they arent good playing life but they have gotten a little better, I hope they will get actually good in it.. I like their performing on the stage though, they like their fans

oh, I sometimes get generalised as someone who keeps Herman Li or Sam Totman as the best guitarist in the world because I listen to dragonforce, that's bullcrap, there is many other better guitarists in the world, speed isnt all in one

I saw DragonForce live when I liked them back in '07.
I did like them back then, but when I saw them live, it made me realize how edited they are in the studio.

They can not finish their solos even 50% correctly.
It just sounded like one big mess.

I can't stand them now. Their newest album was painful to listen to.

Depends truly in the mood that I am in. Sometimes I can listen to him to get into a certain mindset while other times I despise them. >_< I don't know.

Their stuff isn't all too shabby (so what if they edit in the studio more than most bands? Pretty much all metal acts these days edit a ton more than every other genre except hip-hop/rap related acts). I do suggest not listening to all of their songs at once... you should add some variety, even if it's another power metal band's songs, since each group has a different sound to it (they do, trust me).

I think they were trying too hard to focus on impossible guitar solos on Inhuman Rampage... there's more variety on Ultra Beatdown in terms of which instruments get solos (like the electric keyboard actually gets more solo time in many of the songs off of the album).

I think they have a few pretty good songs, but I can't stand to hear them live.
"pps new screenie" - No, really shut up yuoaman.

Haaave you read my LP?
Pokémon Quartz - The only one of mine really worth reading.

What about my [Un]Abridged series?

one other thing is there songs last way too long...
You obviously haven't heard some of the progressive rock groups from the '70s. Or some techno groups, for that matter. 7 minutes isn't very long at all compared to most of these.

I've seen them live twice, although both were in different places and a year apart. Honestly, since those videos that everybody judges them on, they've improved dramatically. They still aren't exactly like the album, but who is? Also, they have improved on the repetitive side of things, so they're actually a good band now. Don't diss them if you haven't actually seen/heard anything except a videos from 06-07 and Throug the Fire and the Flames.

But honestly, I think that they have gotten a bad rep.

I've heard before that they're not good live, but I never go to live shows anyways so oh well. I like the music, really, but the lyrics can sometimes be annoying....alot of repeated phrases and such. (He seriously says 'So far away' in almost every song) (x__o)

patch.

listen what I say, oh

Dragonforce is alright. But they're way too cliche. And they're music can get really repetitive.
I just lol'd. Whilst not being good, Dragonforce are anything but cliche.

i like though the fire and the flames...although i doubt they can actually play any of there music properly since there guitar solos are beyond even slash.
I just lol'd. As much as I like him, Slash is not the 'world's greatest soloist'. ._.

I don't really like StudioForce that much. I'm not a fan of the vocals.
That 'StudioForce' crack made my lol too.

They're awesome! I love playing throught the fire and flames in Guitar hero. I thought the song was so good I put it on my mp3 player. I haven't really listened to many of their other songs though...
This also made me lol.

That was a lot of loling. Generally put, Dragonforce are bad, and if it wasn't for the magical technology we call 'Studio Editing', I'm pretty sure they would be even worse.

Actually, scratch that - if they didn't use the editing, they might be able to make it as a decent band with the wasted talent.

I like Valley of the Damned and Sonic Firestorm really well, Valley of the Damned especially. After a few albums though, it all starts to sound the same, so I don't really bother keeping up with them anymore.
