Lol... Man I didnt see Pingu post..I was busy reading the whole thread...this game has been on too long for it to be gone now..

Nice to c u back Pingu...

But I wonder if Lance is gonna complete the CBS with Pingu's tus first b4 sending it to us..or just sned the demo to us first with an uncompleted CBS?

Don't worry, I'm back. But first thing's first: I'm a guy, not a girl. lol ^_^

Second, as for how I'll send the demo to the testers, I'll send it to you guys after I put in the battles with Pingu's CBS tutorial. I mean, it'd make no sense to send it without doing so, and then re-send it after I'm done with that, especially since I'm not adding any new maps yet. So, I'll get to actually downloading it, and then work on it. However, progress will most likely be slow because I have finals next week, and then the 2 weeks after will be my 3 Regents exams. I'll update when possible, and eventually I may show some screens. ^_^

No offense, but the custom graphics and the day/night system could use work. The custom graphics look shoddy and rushed, while the day/night system affects buildings and caves, too. I think this project has a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of work done to realize that potential.

^Hmm, what exactly do you mean by trying to "keep the tile-by tile layout the same"? Do you mean how it's trying to be like the original Mahogany Town? To be honest, I don't really see a problem with how Mahogany turned out to look like. If anything, there may've been a problem with that guardhouse up there. As for the Day/Night in caves, I could've sworn I fixed that problem. Oh well, that's something to get to fixin' for the next release. ^_^

RSEFRLG has a "looser" style, so to speak- more organic and smooth than GSC's mapping style, which was limited by hardware of the time. In GSC, things were expected to look like a grid. In RSEFRLG, no more- maps LOOKED organic, even if they WERE still grids. Don't take it personally, just trying to help.

Heh, sorry, but no updates yet (my Finals started on Monday, and after this coming Tuesday, I have a bunch of Regents exams to take, so...). I'm still trying to get the gist of what Pingu did on the CBS so I know how to add onto it. In the command list for the bag items in the Database, for example, he added comments saying what I should do, so I'm gonna follow him on that. Problem is, I don't know where I should copy/paste the codes on there, like if it should be a continuing branch or a new branch. Maybe I should ask him what is meant there...
