So I'm sure a few of you probably already know about the Internet Archive, since I've known about it for a few years already. However, I usually just used it for seeing cached web pages. I had no idea until a few months ago that they had other stuff. A LOT of other stuff. They pretty much put anything noteworthy that's in the public domain up for download. This means music, books, art, and even a few movies. Most of the stuff is really old and poorly recorded, though (except books; you can't really screw that up). Here are a few links for you guys.

Internet Archive

Music (just Google the song and "Internet Archive"):
The recordings are usually a bit rough because most public domain recordings are really old.
Ride (flight) of the Valkyries - Wagner (OGG) (MP3)
Overture to 1812 (1812 Overture) - Tchaikovsky (MP3)
Symphony No. 5, Movement I - Beethoven (OGG) (MP3)

Books:
A lot of classic ones are available at Project Gutenberg, which I believe mirrors them on IA. Not sure if they're up to date on IA, but here are some links anyway. IA also lists books from other public domain collections.
War and Peace - Tolstoy (TXT)
A Tale of Two Cities - Dickens (TXT)
Romeo and Juliet - Shakespeare (TXT)

Movies (and other stuff):
A lot of these are really old. REALLY old.
Night of the Living Dead, 1968 (OGV)
The Last Man on Earth, 1964 (OGV)
The Man Who Knew Too Much, 1934 (OGV)

Anyway, explore; there's a lot of stuff you can get. The books section is getting especially large; most popular old books and plays are already there. While I linked text files, I believe there are also versions that are formatted like real books, so it's easier to read.
VNs are superior to anime, don't @ me

zombie movies here I come!
Night of the Living Dead was loooooong. Also, it wasn't particularly entertaining. I'd much rather play a few rounds of L4D. :P
