So yeah. Its a bit long so if you want a short version:
The thing is preventing itself from the future to get functionary and create a god particle.

Which for me would mean it would be completed and there for its sending the messages from the future cause it would be a completely corrupted world of destruction.

So crazy it's actually too crazy.

I read it on the newspaper XD It is a good plot for a sci-fi novel, but this is reality my friends. Accidents happen, and a really fragile machine doesn't need aliens to malfunction.

Someone didn't read the entire thing / skimmed fail-ly.

Any one of you remember a few months ago when there's rumors if the particles collide from the LHC, the world is going to end, but it didn't? :P

I read Angels and Demons and I have to say that book got me interested in LHC actually. Yeah, I'm actually scared if the scientists mishandled it. XD

Actually, on September 10 2008, the proton beams were circulated, but on September 19 that's when it broke. So I'm sorta right. :x Either way, when the proton beams came is that's when I have friends joking the world is going to end and such. XD

That was a test, which was meant to do nothing and did absolutely that. It was just testing if it worked. Then, before anything could actually be done it broke.

Wait, you said the test was meant to do nothing and then you said it was testing if it worked. Did you mean in the first sentence that after the test, nothing happened? Sorry, just making sure. And yeah, liked I said before, the rumors and such are just then during the testing period, heh.

...Meant to do nothing as in, it wasn't meant to do anything other then proving it worked. I thought that was implied when I said "test."

I don't see how imaginary numbers come to play in the real world. I also don't see how future particles can understand cause and effect so that they can travel back in time and selectively cause an explosion to stop the LHC from working. It's not like those brilliant scientist types aren't fixing the problems. It makes me want to say "Hey, little particles, is that the best you can do?"

Why does everyone keep blaming God? D:
If God doesn't want us to discover the particle then leave it be. In my opinion, God put us on this Earth so that we may study the complexity of life and wonder/marvel at the miracle around us. Finding the Higgs Boson would e like trying to play God. And, as we know humans can't play God without abusing their power for some reason. Humans are naturally like that. Even if we could discover the Higgs Boson, I doubt God would allow us to do anything but observe. It's all in God's master plan. (b'')b

If you want to study something study it. If you want to use it to create Universes and destroy planets, you're way out of line. This could all become possible. Probably if we learn how to manipulate the HB.

It's a ridiculous theory, like most physics theories these days. There's almost no chance of it being right, but since it can't be disproven, it'll be out there until the LHC works, and then everyone will forget about it.

Finding the Higgs Boson would e like trying to play God. And, as we know humans can't play God without abusing their power for some reason.
Finding the "Higgs Boson" isn't playing God, it's studying a theoretical particle.

Uh, if I may, you seem to change your entire opinion before adding a period. You say Creation was meant to be studied, then say we shouldn't study that particular part. You may have meant something else but that's what came across.

My quotes don't seem to be working... flipping laptop.

You're supposed to add a slash at the end quote tag
eg.
[/QUOTE]

On the other note. What I meant was using the Higgs Boson for things that we wouldn't normally do such as create Black Holes or whatever for no reason. I just can't phrase myself properly sometimes. >_<

Like I said, using.

It wasn't enough that they discovered how to use Nuclear energy to create Atomic Bombs. Anything that is a human discovery will sooner or later be applied to in the destruction of nature of some sort. What kind of destruction could be wrought by using the Higgs Boson I wonder. By discovering the particle, humans won't sit still and observe. They'll definitely find a way to use it. Like atoms. :/

Still, if they cure Cancer, that would be a plus though. However, if wars are started using Higgs Boson technology, don't say I didn't warn you.

Which is why I'm torn between natural curiosity and worldwide war.

That whole page seems to be nothing but hypothetical situations.
And that would just put us in temporal physics, which is a cluster**** all on its own.
I wouldn't worry about it, just because someone gives their thought on certain events that might happen, doesn't mean that it is right.

Or maybe someone just was joking about how humans from the future are as likely to affect our present, aka their past, as aliens.
And how the whole story sounded like a sci-fi novel :\
