Dell > ???
Sony > ???
HP > Cyberlink
Gateway > ???
eMachines > ???
Asus > Lifecam

^^^^Those are the default installed softwares for webcam capture and maybe some crappy editing tools.

You may notice the question marks, feel free to enlighten me with what Dell, Gateway, and eMachines decide to pack theirs with, along with any major brands I've left out.

Yarrr. This is a two-fold discussion however. Now that we've got the basics out of the way we must press onward and upward to make videos from our webcams. So we need suggestions people! What's good for video capture that is F to the R to the DOUBLE E.

Put your hands together, we can do this. We gonna change the world brothers and sisters. And it starts right now. Right this very second. You are a part of this, everyone's gonna be a part in it.

All you gotta do is respond and tell us. Let us know. Explain the programs you use. Start small and grow, that is my motto brothers and sisters. Now let us spread forth and FLY!

Lolno. I'm using an ASUS, and the default webcam software is LifeFrame.

As for video editing/whatever, get avidemux. Not sure about video capture; maybe I'll look into it later. Wikipedia and Google are your friends, as always.

I only use the webcam interface software that came with my Vaio: it's apparently a full suite of software by some company named ArcSoft.

I really don't know any other interface program.
