The old thread died out and I felt like posting this again.

So... What would be your dream car, Bugatti, Zonda or something a bit more obscure?

From sort of supercars, I'd probably pick an Audi R8. I like Audis in general and the R8 is easily their best design.

But from cars I may realistically get one day, I'd probably have a Chevvy Camaro.

I also happen to be a model.

Buick LeSabre. Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency. Lincoln Town Car.

The classic American luxury car, with the sort of comfort and elegant style you simply can't find in today's sea of cheap economy cars.

Nothing American-made.

Enough said.

American cars fail :<

If anything, I'm going with a Prius, an Outback or Forrester, or a Smart Car.

When it comes to cars, I get very skeptical. Coming from a dad who is a drag racer and knows too much to know about cars, it runs in my blood and to choose my dream car things get very complex. I go through all that matters, such as major electrical problems, professional ratings, looks, type of car, and especially manufacturer. Not so much on where the car is made, but the type of car whether it be VW, BMW, Mercedes, or whatever.

For top end cars, my choice ranges with this. I narrowed things down to where I dream to one day own a Mercedes Mclaren 2010 Roadster model or the next series up in that distant future. This car is ranked to be the 5th fastest car in the world, and at that rank that's all the speed I desire. Plus, with the sleek look it comes with and the aerodynamic figure it is just beautiful in all ways. Plus, it's Mercedes, my favorite dealer in cars.

For a regular everyday car that I wish to own and still considered a top end vehicle, then I wouldn't mind having either the new Acura TSX or the Mitsubishi Evolution IX. Also, after watching both Transformers I and II, I feel the urge to have a new Chevy Camarro in the same color yellow with black stripe and of course I would name it Bumblebee [gosh I'm such a dork]. xD

I TOTALLY WANT A PONCHO IT'S SO RELIABLE AND NEW

I would probably drive a Taurus XD I'm comfortable with its design... and my parents drive one :p

And what's with the hate with American cars? It's mainly Americans that are forcing them into failure, because in all reality they're quite reliable, and if you live in America yourself (like many American-car-company-bashers) it's far cheaper to get repairs.

I'm keeping my eyes tacked on the Vault and I shall laugh in your silly Nissan faces when it comes out. Har har har.

Allow me to repeat what Syrex has said perfectly.
"2010 Nissan GT-R. Nuff said."

That or a Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1.

hmm... well the poll and the post are 2 totally different things...

On the Poll I answered Europe. They have Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, etc. They have good, expensive car's. The bad thing is that they are a little bit harder to repair, and thus, not in my wish list.

The USA has the Volvo. It is known for being safe. We also have the Mustangs, these things are EVERYWHERE! Finding extra parts and repairing them must be easy and simple.

Japan, by far, has the most brands out here and are common as well. There is Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suzuki, etc.

I would assume that Japan has the upper hand compared to the rest, but I chose Europe. Why? The cars that people know for being rare and "good" are mostly European Cars. Perhaps some American ones like the Dodge Viper, but mostly European. =)

I have a lot of cars I'd like to own. But for dream cars, it comes down to 3.

2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

1976 Lancia Scorpion (I actually almost bought one a few years ago. Such a pretty car)

or a Delorean. Nuff Said.

The Lancia is the only car that isn't American Here. It's Italian. Sold in Europe as the Lancia Montecarlo, the Scorpion did differ and was American market only. Powered by a mid-mounted 1.8L fiat carburrated four cylinder, it wasn't the fastest thing around (It was originally designed to be powered by a potent V6 but Fiat pulled the plug at the last minute). By today's standards, it's cheap, reliable and has Ferrari looks (not surprising since the designer was none other than Pininfarina, the design house that to this day has designed Ferrari's for decades). The one I almost bought was bright red, engine didn't run, had all the parts for a proper restoration and the guy wanted $3,000 for it. Engine only needed a tune up and a carb cleaning and It'd start up.

Volvos are equally common in Europe, due to the company originating from Sweden. The older volvos are what you normally see, however (i.e. the invulnerable cardboard boxes)

Um.. I'd fix your poll :/ Not all cars are made only in those countries, you know. Try Canada.

And Europe? Do you mean that Italy and Germany are separate? Because.. they're both huge and separate manufacturers..

Volkswagen? Or.. Ferarri? Totally different.

As for my dream car? It's..

Hell yeah >DD The REVENTON <3

Not all everyday cars from America are cheap to repair. I have a 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34. My DOHC timing belt snapped last December, $1200 to fix. But that's still cheap compared to what you'd probably pay in Europe or Asia (Yes, they have Chevy Monte Carlo's just like mine there. All privately imported from the USA. My dad has been on business trips around the world) for the same repair on the same car. I agree though. American cars are just as reliable as imports, and the quality on most is better. The only thing is that the interiors aren't as pretty. Read any review on an American car. That's always the only thing they complain about. So it's utilitarian. big whoop. Americans have been force fed bullcrap that imports are always better buys, when in reality, they're often underpowered (coughHonda/Acuracough) deathtraps (covers most imports).

For proof, compare all ratings and reviews for late 90's Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, Chevy Lumina/Monte Carlo, Dodge Intrepid, and the Pontiac Grand Prix. I'm pretty sure you'll find the American cars are much better buys. And that carry's through to today as well. Compare a brand new Honda Accord, Volkswagen Passat or Toyota Camry against a Chevy Impala or Malibu, Ford Taurus, Pontiac G8 or G6, or a Dodge Charger. Same goes for smaller cars like the Civic, Corolla, Jetta, Golf, Cavalier, Cobalt, etc.
To illustrate my point.
