In all the time I have owned a wii I have only had one problem. I will give you an image to make things clear:

I can't count the number of times my wii has nearly been destroyed by being torn to the floor by a wired gamecube controller. I just recently had my wii tugged down by a gamecube controller, but I was fortunate that it only came out with a slight crack. Does anyone have a remedy that doesn't involve buying a disturbing ammount of AA batteries for a wavebird?

Buy an 360?

That would be my honest suggestion, the wii has far more problems than that.

Storage, lack of game quality etc.

If you still want to keep with the Wii, try Classic Controller or if you are playing GC games use your/buy a gamecube?

I already have a 360 (And still loving it, though not as much). The wii doesn't have a storage problem, that was recently fixed with the ability to play games/apps from the sd card. And by lack of game quality, do you mean graphics or gameplay. If you're saying graphics I have no argument, but the gameplay on the wii far surpasses the 360. Buying a gamecube won't work well though because the main game I use the controller for is brawl :(

... It doesn't take that many AA batteries for a Wavebird! About 2 or 4 isn't too many! And they last for a long time, you would be amazed!

But a Classic Controller may help, but with Gamecube games, not as much... Why not be more careful? It is your carelessness with the controller that perhaps as done this, or maybe having the Wii closer to the floor, so it doesn't fall as much?

Temmie vibrates intensely.

I would rather have a hard drive than be continously buying SD cards.

Well graphics, yeah. I kind of meant that the amount of good games was low. MKWii might have been the only game I fully enjoyed. (Except GH which is better on other consoles anyway)

Classic is the answer then. :D

Either rechargeable AAs for use in a Wavebird controller or import a white Wii GCN controller (they have longer cords).

If it's just for Brawl, you could import a Classic Controller Pro (or wait for it be released)

It was actually a pretty freak accident. I was playing my wii (Without the gamecube controlller, but it was still plugged in) and while I was playing one of my younger sisters friends litterally dashed in the room and the first thing she did was yank my gamecube cord. I was freaked out it wouldn't work, but I was happy to see that it was (Mostly) fine. Everything except the crack. I probably should get rid of those crappy controllers too, but I'm a little low on money at the moment. Definetly something I have to invest in.

I have Gamecube controller but I haven't dropped my Wii with it. I always keep it on my brother's XBOX (it's next to my Wii) and usually it's not even connected to Wii because I use only 1 slot (it's nearest) and it's taken off when I play DBZ or my little sister plays with dancing mat.

If I play with Gamecube controller, I am near enough so I don't pull it in accident off my table. And if I stop for even little while I put it somewhere where it's not in a way (XBOX is still good place :D).

So, if you don't want break your Wii be careful and you don't drop it.

Please feed my Pokémon and warm my eggs.
Thanks for everyone who have clicked these, you've helped me a lot :)

Anyone has Club Nintendo codes that you don't need? I want those.
If you have one code for me I can trade you my Explorers of Sky code as I can't put it because I have registered already one. (Registered my brother's game and now I can't register mine...) Someone have same thing? PM me.
I know there's nobody who wishes to do this xD
I'm talking about Club Nintendo of Europe.

I'm usually a carefull person. This was probably the worst accident I've had with my wii since I've had it. And about keeping it in my room, well, let's just say nowhere is safe;)

It might be piss difficult to still find this, especially for a G-Cube, but just get a controller extention cord. Better option is to move your self or the wii closer. If your using a G-Cube remote, you shouldnt worry bout smashing the hell out of your TV.

That or stick with the 360

An extension cord to make the controller plug less rigid, so when you step on it, you don't pull down the Wii with it. Still pulls it down if you trip on it, though.

um ive never had this problem in my three years of owning a wii. are you sure you dont have mild retardation that prevents your remembering of the cord? that could be the problem...
I haven't dropped my Wii, but it depends on where your couch is located. If you're wired, it can be pretty tight

I did that to my friend's Wii, accidently yanked the cord and the thing fell, lucky I caught it because he has a cement floor 0.0

The cord extender works, but I wouldn't suggest putting your Wii on the floor if it's carpet, the fibers the fan sucks up get stuck in it and eventually stop it, causing your Wii to over heat, then you have to get it fixed, not fun...

Or just get a wireless and a set or two of AA, besides, don't you need AA anyway for the Wii remotes?

Maybe you should read my post about A LITTLE GIRL TUGGING IT DOWN. I can't put my wii on the floor btw, I own a dog so who knows what would happen :paranoid:

Edit: Can a mod please close this thread? I've already received the answer I needed more than once.
