The old thread is over a month old now, and I'd at least like to see something balancing out that dub thread. So what are your favorite OPs/EDs from the original, non-English dubbed Japanese works?

I'll start off. Feel free to list as many as you want; I'll just be listing my two favorites (excluding anything from Cardcaptor Sakura, since I'm a maniacal fanboy of the series and would already assign those top honors).

My favorite OP is Lion, from Macross Frontier. Not only is the song amazing, but I really liked the OP animation itself, which usually isn't something I really care much about.

My favorite ED is Futuristic Imagination, from Eden of the East. It's amazing how they took a song by a band that I really don't care for and turned it into something that was actually quite impressive with the visualization alone (and only using cut-up pieces of paper, no less).
VNs are superior to anime, don't @ me

Two of my most favourite OPs would be When Cicadas Cry from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Flower of Naraku from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, both sung by Eiko Shimamiya. I personally think that both songs are well performed, fit the anime perfectly and the OP animation sequences go nicely with the songs too. Same goes for BOYS & GIRLS, one of the Katekyo Hitman REBORN! OPs, which is performed by LM.C. Other OPs I like include staple stable from Bakemonogatari (sung by Chiwa Saito) - I find it quite uplifting and cheerful, and One Winged Bird from Umineko no Naku Koro ni (sung by Akiko Shikata) - this is song is just amazing (and pretty addictive |D).

As for favourite EDs, I have to agree with you that the Eden of the East ED was amazing. I thought the song was pretty good and how they did all those things with paper was just… wow. ( o3o) The K-ON! ED, Don't Say Lazy (performed by the Sakurakou K-ON Bu) is nice and the Bakemonogatari ED, The Story You Don't Know (sung by Nagi) is gorgeous. ( *__*)

Flower of Naraku from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, sung by Eiko Shimamiya.
Ditto that. A great OP, I'm not that fond of the first series' OP though.
Another favourite is Monochrome no Kiss by SID the OP for Kuromuksuji. I like SID's albums anyway, so I was bound to like this OP. Also, the OP for Rozen Maiden Träumend, Seishoujo Ryouiki by ALI PROJECT; again, I like their albums.
I usually don't like ED's as much, but I quite liked Hikari no Rasenritsu by Kukui also for Rozen Maiden Träumend.
