I'm not talking about people I reported...

Mhmm, I read that before. I don't know why, but for some reason just the way you worded that whole sentence gave me a different interpretation of what you were talking about. Excuse me if I misread it, people make mistakes.

So it seems like people want a formal blacklist for pc? It would be a nice idea...but the sad fact is that people who are accused and actually caught doing something and are reprimanded are usually booted out for awhile and end up coming back a lot of the time...or so it seems. If they don't come back, they sometimes take up another account and are up to doing no good again in a matter of a couple of weeks...for example a user named Kandyhot who overly abused the words "DUDE" and "ROCK" was booted out for awhile after stealing a deoxys from a user named Becki...later comes back under the user name Rockbaby and trades legit pokemon while still using the questionable words of "ROCK" and "DUDE" but then enters the wifi tourney in the battle stadium and lies that she beat the user Leingodf8 and almost got him kicked out of that tournament, but, shes still here.
My point is that some people reform and others don't. But to keep up with a reliable list of scammers and hackers, there would likely need to be one mod assigned that duty and I don't know that PC is equipped for that task. I've reported some scammers before but sometimes it takes a day for a mod to get to closing that thread down or the person being reprimanded (Its not a cut to the mods, I know a lot of you do your best and lets be honest, we all have lives outside of here)...which as I've seen, leads to a lot of pissed off people for getting scammed or people being pissed off because the scammer is so obvious, and mods who are pissed because there is a thread full of crap for them to close. Bah.

Like I said, if we dont make a blacklist for members, we can make one of known hacked pokemon, Ursula?
Definitely an alternative by my reckoning.

I'm not talking about people I reported, I talking about those times when a thread goes into uproar with everybody getting down a hackers throat because they have been caught scamming and they just start insulting everyone because they have no way out, and usually that hacker opens up a new thread a couple of weeks later.

But since you asked for an example, michaelt1000 (think that is the exact username) is a good example. Scammed three people in the space of an hour one day, they all complained on his thread, he laughed and called them fools for getting scammed so easy, and all that happened is the thread got locked. He is still trying to trade on here and still hasn't been banned, and he continues to pop up with new threads and continues to scam people even though about 10 people reported him that day.

I'm not saying the mods don't care or doing a bad job, but I'm saying in the case that something like this is missed, having a blacklist allows people to make judgment themselves without having to rely of some scammer getting banned.

Yea I'll just go back through several months worth of threads, seriously dude be realistic, are you so naive that you think there are little amount of scammers on here???
I don't see his thread being closed upon looking at his thread creation history.
The only one that I see closed [in the trade section] was by me for not being in the Quick Trade Thread.

The only thread that seems even worth mentioning is this one D:
And, he was infracted for trading Hacked Pokemon :(
But, I can't exactly ban him ~_~;
[however he isn't really on anymore]
[but, i suppose this is a valid point]
[I apologize for not dealing with him completely - I'm only one person ;-;]

However, that goes to the point of:

they sometimes take up another account
Which is another reason as to why I'm weary to opening a blacklist.
Sure, people may claim x, but another person can claim the opposite.
People falsely accuse all the time, which is the hard thing to deal with. :[

Well you can easily get a new Friend Code....

And yeah, they can check IP adresses.
Yeah I know about the FC thing but still you'd have to make an entire new game and get everything back..... not fun XP

But making a Blacklist for Pokemon Only I dont think its very reliable.... Unless Mods actually Post in some Thread saying take that Pokemon off... I see how it would be easier then a Blacklist for people but i dont know if it would work as well...

Actually I believe you can make a new Friend Code just by going on Wi-Fi on anther DS correct?

Blacklist for pokemon is easier then a blacklist for people, but it seems like a Mod would have to be constantly updating it around the clock, which could be a nuisance.

About the FC no I think you need to start a New Game and it should be listed on your Pal Pad
And the Bolded Part I 100% agree with :/

Chains "they are hackers" a.k.a. they just hack all their pokemon.
And anyone who has the pokemon could release it, and take it off their thread.

And who said a mod had to do it? A dedicated member (twilightblade, I nominate you) could do it.
Hmmm I guess it would work but I agree with elhero it would be alot of effort updating all the time XP
Owell Ursula I agree with Greene and Syndrome atleast some Thread has to be made...

Yea this is true, though I have noticed that the majority of people actually don't know about it, and hackers tend to be a little on the dumb side when it comes to keeping themselves out of trouble. But then again, that's just what I've noticed :)

Either way, I think a majority of us are agreed that some from my blacklist is needed, be it for people or Pokemon or whatever.

On the note of people who get banned and create new accounts, note to stay incognito they would need to alter their IP, get a new FC, act completely different, and be extra careful how they act and not to let off any indication of who they really are, which is too hard for someone to keep up for too long if they even think to cover their tracks so well, and as Melody pointed out earlier on about Kandyhot/Rockbaby, initially she was caught out because she acted the same. Most won't try and come back anyway, so I don't think it's the biggest issue.

Valid points above.

Do Moderators actually check people's IP Address though when they register?

This is true. It doesn't have to be a new game. Friend codes change everytime you go on with a different DS than the one you used before, I believe.

I'm pretty sure IP addresses can be checked at anytime by Mods, or in certain cases the last few of a user. However, unless there was an issue or suspicion, I doubt someone would check on a regular basis.

I think the only time they CAN check is if a banned member comes back, IIRC exposings someones IV is illegal.
Lol don't you mean IP ;)

I'm pretty sure though that there is an option for mods on each post to check the poster's IP; I know on the forums I mod this function is there, and one of them runs on the same server that PC does.

No, we do not. D:
That's... improbable ~_~

And who said a mod had to do it? A dedicated member (twilightblade, I nominate you) could do it.
Well, it just seems unfeasible & impractical to have such a thread as it would need a lot of updating. D:
And, I'm pretty sure TB has a life XD;

Not necessarily. All one has to do is just change their FC and not act overly suspicious/get caught doing the same thing again. Changing one's IP wouldn't be necessary if one doesn't do anything to arouse suspicion XD

And, guys, dont stray off topic :|
