Friday the 13th is around the corner... and in class we somehow got into an interesting discussion on superstitions. So, how superstitious are you, if at all? Do you believe in Friday the 13th, or any other 'bad luck' things?

Personally, I don't. Thirteen is a lucky number for me, actually. I've had a lot of good things as well as bad things happen to me on Friday the 13th.

Friday the 13th is my day. :P

In all seriousness though, nah I don't believe in superstitions. I don't know, I just don't let that get to me. Heck, I didn't realize today is Friday the 13th. D:

Same here Bay. XD
My sadistic side just loves the fact that somewhere in the world, some people have suddenly become afraid to do anything.

XD.

Seriously though, what's so bad about Friday 13th(yes I know I read the thing). I don't believe in bad-luck, only God's will.

No, but I still do partake in superstitious activities, such as 4 leaf clovers, just for lulz. I believe in karma, but not to any supernatural extent.

How could karma be considered a natural event? Seems like it's very presmise is based off of something that can't be subjected to any logical examination. Not that there is anything wrong with that- I believe in it to an extent as well:D

As far as superstition, yes I still get superstitous from time to time. But not involving a day:p

Human nature. Most people treat other people better if they are treated good as well.
I believe that karma is the human nature, but as far as to believe that magically, bad things will happen to you. I don't believe in fate or destiny, which can probably explain my opinion towards karma.

Not at all. Heck, our school's basketball team won and I got a free drink at the campus movie theater. If anything, I'd say that's good luck.

Didn't even realize what day it was, lol

I'm inbetween. There are things I believe in (four leaf clovers, and such) and most of it I flat out don't believe (friday the 13th). Friday the thirteenth is just like any other normal day. there's nothing inherantly evil or such about it. If you have Triskadekaphobia, you usually just make the day bad for yourself.

Nothing bad has ever happened to anyone I know. Some of my friends even have birthdays that fall on Friday 13th, and nothing has gone bad. xD; I don't believe in any of that nonsense.

If anything bad happened yesterday, it's that the weather was kinda lame, and I jammed the office printer with labels twice. Oh well!

A bit. I believe in some mysteries in the world that cannot be explained by science yet. And I also believe in bad luck when you step on cracks. But I do not believe in black cat's bad luck because my land lord's pet is a black cat and he and me havn't been stricken by bad luck.

No, but I've had a few terrible days on these exact dates. One of those "terrible days" just happened to be yesterday. But I have days that are just as bad any other day of the year, so I don't care.

Just adding a side note here... My French 2 teacher told us that it's Tuesday the 13th that spooks the French. Do we have any Frenchies to support this claim?

Not really, at least not with common tripe like the number thirteen, shoes on tables, umbrellas open indoors... And not walking under ladders is just common sense.
Our cat is good though, he watches the house keenly, and I'd say no wonder since he's black (considered good luck where I'm from).
