Way back in the day. Then my mom returned a defective Santa gift to the local Lowe's and that kinda ended the belief phase for me. I was about seven at the time, lol.

I pride myself for learning the truth at a young age.

Yeah, I believed in Santa up until third grade... my parents really encouraged it, but I wasn't hurt at all when I realized that Santa didn't exist. Me believing in Santa made my early holidays more magical and fun. Now that I know that my parents are giving me all these gifts, I can ask them up front about what I want.

Nope. Found out when I was nine but I didn't admit that I knew until I was eleven. XD

I don't see the point in pretending a fictional character is real. To me, it's like saying Tinkerbell came to my house and danced with me. My parents still put "From Santa" on the Christmas presents though, lul. :l

I was really bummed out when my parents told me.

I mean, I already knew, but it was still fun pretending; It's felt less Christmassy every year after that. :[

I never did. My parents didn't think it was right to lie to me
I wouldn't class it as a normal lie. It is more of a little fairytale that makes you excited.

I did when I was a lot younger, but there was a logical side of me in Primary School that kinda re-thought it.

When I was young, yeah. Would always stay up late so that I can see him get my cookies. :P Also one time I sat on his lap at a mall and told him I wanted some dolls for Christmas. XD However, now these days not anymore because my parents told me they have been buying the presents. D: I still love hearing Santa stories as I still think Santa brings the magic to Christmas, whether he's real or not. :3

Actually, my parents weren't into the idea of lying to me so they taught me about St. Nick that the Coca Cola version of Santa was made from instead. :D they weren't sure I got it the first year they taught to me when I was just shy of 3 years old. Then we went to Walmart three days after Christmas. kihihihihihihi

We were in the check out and the lady looks at me and she goes: "And what did Santa bring you for Christmas little girl?" and I looked at her and in a loud booming voice said "SANTA'S DEAD. HE'S IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS. But my MOMMY got me...." I proceeded to rattle off my present list. :D My mother was driven out of the store by an angry mob of preschool mothers with sobbing children.

The following year my grandfather tried to get me to sit on Santa's lap. I looked at him and burst into tears before screaming "He's a STRANGER and he might TOUCH ME IN BAD PLACES" and then I ran and hid behind a christmas tree. :D

SO NO

I didn't do the Santa thing.

We used to leave cookies for Santa and everything, but I stopped believing when I was five. My parents let me sleep in the basement next to the fireplace when he was supposed to come and he never did. After that, I never believed. If I ever have kids I won't lie to them like that. I'll tell them the REAL meaning behind giving each other presents for Christmas.

When I was younger, I always questioned how Santa could possibly carry billions of gifts and have time for milk and cookies when he had to deliver those gifts in one night, then I caught my parents eating the cookies and forging Santa's thank-you note and my suspicions were confirmed. u_u
