  • The intros are different.
  • Version exclusive Pokémon.
  • Lugia is caught earlier in SS; Ho-Oh is caught earlier in HG.
  • Groudon is caught in SS; Kyogre is caught in HG. Trade both to either game to catch Rayquaza.
  • Latias is roaming in HG and requires an event in SS; Latios is roaming in SS and requires an event in HG.

Maybe both games will have different days for events or get different items in the games. Also, could get different pokemon from the day to night mode. (vica-versa)
Thats all I can think of, but good question. I'm getting both versions anyway. ^_^

O_o ... different days for events? ... they are exactly the same in that aspect lol... the only other things that are different that weren't mentioned were some side-story-type-things are a tad bit different...(namely showing the guy at Cerulean Cape Pokemon; Pokemon are different depending on version... but he still gives you the same items, so it's no different)... aside from different visual appearances such as PokeDex entries, the rest are the same :p

Indeed - the Pokemon you can get/needed for the stones, when you get Lugia/Ho-oh and intro sequences are the only differences. Stuff like this:

is not the case - Japanese version is already out and the other language's version shall remain the same in gameplay and Pokemon, not in terms of what days events happens.

Here's a link for the version-exclusive Pokemon: http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/exclusives.shtml

Try the Help thread next time, please. Closed.
