Sooo... there's a thread on hugging, and one on kissing, but not one on both. Do you prefer hugging or kissing? :3

I love hugging. And I love kissing.

BUT. Since kissing usually involves saliva and since I more or less detest saliva (XD) I might choose hugging.

It totaly depends on who it is I always feel weird when relatives come and kiss me on the cheek; I would of prefered a hug grandma :/ . But if it comes to a friend that is a girl kisses are WAY better if no one finds out. ( I hate being interrogated XD)

I love both. I like to hug, and while hugging, kiss. I can't really choose one or the other, because I wouldn't want to kiss my BFF, but I wouldn't want to just hug my BF. That's just me.

Hugs and kisses are for different occasions. You'd kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend, your wife or husband. Kisses are more romantic and sexual. Of course, there are the motherly kisses that mothers give their kids, or the greeting kisses. Hugs are more for greetings or between friends.

IMO, I'd prefer hugs over kisses. Kisses are more personal, and represent a close bond between two people, and I don't want to be smooched by some old stranger who happens to be in the same house as me. Hugs are easier to give as well, since most people would accept hugs over kisses.

...Okay, that is a bit wierd... who lives in your house besides family? : P

Well, you got a point, though, Samus. True that kisses are more sexual and all that. That's why I would only kiss my girlfriend. : P

Hugs... well, I'd hug almost anybody. : P
he did it, not me.

To be true, they are both good.
I would prefer it if I got hugs much more frequently than kisses.
Not that I don't like the idea of kisses as much as I like hugs, as I said they are both great in their own ways.

Though I can't speak from personal experience, I feel friendly hugs are a totally different form of communication, and are normally at a less closer level than kisses.
But hugs with intimate feelings in them are more trust-making, more bonding, nicer, and more preferred by me than kisses most of the times. They would really make me feel loved.

I'm not going to say my age, but I'm under 16 and older than 10.

I haven't kissed anyone outside of my family, but I have hugged girls outside of my family. And it always feels kinda awkward at first, but then you get used to it in like .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds. XD

I'm a supermod of that forum.

I've left, bye PC.

Kissing doesn't necessarily have to be romantic; kissing on the check is akin to hugging in a few cultures. D:

As for me, I'd prefer hugging. It's a nice way to bond with a person and really show 'em you care. Shaking hands is one thing, but hugging a person usually means they're pretty close to you. Unless, of course, you do the whole free hugs campaign deal. Guess that'd be a different story.

Passionate kissing, well, that's in a whole different category. BD
