Alot of my family listens to oldies, country classics and folk music from the 70s and older, however my mom has a wide range from the 50s to today's especially 80s music which was her generation.

My parents only listen to this old "Schlager" music. don't know how to translate that word, but has a very schmaltzy sound and lyrics. And in this genre, there's no English, everything is in German (for tradition reasons or whatever) So I can't really say my family has any favorite English songs. To be honest, I don't even know their favorite songs of that genre because I couldn't care less

I wonder if anyone will actually understand this description...
