I am an avid fan of iPhone due to its fantastic appeal and very impressive features.Sometimes I wonder why other vendors like to make iPhone killer rather than trying for making a good smart phone without any comparison.I always find fun when people think that this mobile will definitely be an iPhone killer.I believe that there will never be an iPhone killer. What you think the lovers and hatters of iPhone?

If anything, it would be the 9001 viruses already out there on the web that targets iPhones and kills them. Then you own a $1000 paperweight, another great paperweight made by apple d('-'d) and Google Android OS just might kill the iPhone fad in terms of downloads/sales/whatever

Most of which are only targeted to the iPhones that are jailbroken as those are the ones with more security flaws.

$1000 paperweight? No.
$300.00, yes.

Sawaa <3333 it's really great to see ya back :3

I never knew developers were dropping on android. Has Google got some new plans or something?

I was just exaggerating the price and I've only heard of one iPhone virus :P

Ahahaha...
No.
Android is dying - developers are dropping like flies. Nobody wants to develop for Second Place; and that's all Android will ever be.
Not only that, but their development environment isn't all that attractive either.

Um... it's estimated that by 2012, more people will be on the Android platform than there will be iPhone users. :/
It's easy to make estimates that nobody will remember you were wrong about by the time they don't eventuate :3 The simple thing comes down to people *want* to be seen with an iPhone. No other phone has that sort of appeal. You put Android in 30 Phones from 30 different manufacturers? You'll probably have more phones in the wild than Apple will, true ~ but with different platforms on each, no standardized hardware and a development environment that is (as waka pointed out) vastly unappealing? You'll always be second place in developer support.

As much as I honestly hate to say it, this is completely true. I remember being asked if my Nokia E71 was a iPhone. ...don't ask.

Unless a Sony or Nokia can get their act together and create a reliable phone of equal elegance with a decent library of tools and apps, then they're going to struggle outside of the business and Anti-Apple sectors. That's not to say they need 100,000 apps or whatever the hell the iPhone has, because a large chunk of the them are useless - not everyone needs to have their phone sound like a gun when the shake it. Also, access to free content and programs may well be a selling point, as well as hopefully cutting the initial costs for customers - this is keeping the OS and included apps in mind. But until.

Also, I mentioned Sony, specifically, because they have a knack for attractive hardware and interfaces - with the budget to back it; all of which is important if anyone wants to fight back.

And for the record, this is quite hard for me to admit, because I am essentially a "Mac Hater", as opposed to the aforementioned "Mac Hatter", which brings to mind some evil computer hybrid from Alice in Wonderland. :D

Well, for the moment and as far as high-end smartphones go, iPhone is definitely the best thing out there. Nothing lasts forever, and I bet as more phone companies get in on this, the iPhone will lose popularity, at least to a degree. Let's hope Apple can come up with an advancement that doesn't involve adding letters to the name of what they already have...

The iPhone is starting to look like the RAZR, to be honest. At first, it started out as a luxury item that everyone wanted. Then, prices dropped and they became a bit more affordable, so regular people started buying them. Now, a good chunk of people have it, and the bubble keeps blowing up. I think Apple is going to kill it's own iPhone with market over-saturation. But in all actuality, I think Android is going to surpass it. Phone developers are coming out with more lust-worthy devices with the Android platform, such as the Motorola Droid and the Sony Xperia X10.
