GSC was also my favorite game. It was very long with the Johto and Kanto regions, but I liked it.

I think G/S/C were the best. They were the first sequels during a time full of spin-off titles. They built upon the exsisting PkMn formula and had lots of features that I am really missing with these new games. Days of the week, night and day, etc.

The new games tried to base things on these feature but, meh...no success. What? We have weather now? Weather plus night and day and the days of the week would've been great! No, phone! Now we have Trainer Eyes and VS. Seeker. I like VS. Seeker better than Trainer Eyes, but nothing will beat the phone!

After hearing the Johto music in the islands in FR/LG. I really really really want a advance version of G/S/C.

And they may just make them since they've already done it with the new FireRed and LeafGreen versions. ^_^ I hope so!

(This belongs in the Pokemon Games section, too. *moves*)

Anyway, hmm... Tough choice. I really love them all. They're each unique with different features that make them interesting, so it's hard to choose. I guess that I'd pick the Gold/Silver/Crystal versions because not only were they really long, but they also had a lot of neat things in them, such as the phone and night/day/real clock feature. Even though the newer games are really fun, they've left out of lot of things in them that made the older versions more fun to play.

I've been playing LeafGreen a lot too, and it's very fun! ^_^ I love the Kanto region.

GSC - simply because it's the longest in terms of story, it offers many new features which haven't been brought back into RSE/FRLG such as Day/Night. The locations were more vivid (not in terms of graphics, but in layout). The 3rd gen games left a lot of this out. Sure... we have weather now. But that's not even random. It only rains in certain routes! GSC is my favourite series out of them all. ^_^

I vote for FR/LG! :D
It's the graphics and interface of R/S combined with the nostalgia of Red and Blue! It was everything I asked for in a game. :) I can't wait for Diamond and Pearl! I hope they top the lot of them!!

I really loved Crystal. The character sprites for both genders were very nicely done, and getting to breed Pokemon and explore the Kanto region was wonderful. Crystal is a great game ~ it is what Gold and Silver really should have been the first time around. It took a long time to load on Stadium 2, though.

Pokemon Puzzle Challenge was a good handheld puzzler. I'll also say Pokemon Puzzle League, despite the fact that the game was only made to cash in on Pokemon's popularity. It's a US only game, and was practically inferior to Tetris Attack in terms of sound and graphics/animation.
