Well he is the strongest trainer.
He is like a legendary you only see him and battle him once which makes him special.

That's a very good way of putting it; Red is unique. I agree with this, you should only be able to battle him once. ^^

I "voted" for yes because it's the truth. Just beat the Elite 4 and he will reappear at the summit of Mt. Silver.

I think he should be rebattleable.

And it'd be cool if he'd had different Pokémon depending on the day of the week ^¬^
This is just me thinking, and it's because I think that as he has (probably) caught all the 149 non-Mew and Mewtwo (since Mewtwo is catchable in HGSS) Pokémon in Kanto plus a lot more, and just having six of them doesn't really seem fair.
Also, I don't really like that they took away Espeon and replaced it with Lapras. I know Lapras kinda fits him, and he got it during the main storyline, but having two Water types, when you could have a water and Psychic? I know Lapras is ice, which makes it really good out there in the hail, but still...

If I were to decide, he wouldn't have at least Blastoise. Now that's just my opinion, don't get mad, but well... Change is always nice. Especially when done to the better.

To get the question answered properly: Yes, I'd like him rebattleable. Good thing he is I guess ^¬^

He's definitly my fav main character. And I don't think that'll change in future generations.
But who knows?

Since HGSS is a remake, I'd like to battle the girl Green, too. She's a main character from FRLG.

In GSC there was no double battle, but in this game they should explore the new feature with a battle against both main chara.

Yes, it would be cool. But I didn't say he isn't rebattleable, okay. :)

Considering Red can be challenged again every time you defeat the Elite Four, then regardless of my opinion, the player still has the opportunity of battling Red more than once. It makes easy training for the game player and for those who enjoy having a rematch with the strongest known trainer in the game it's worthwhile.

Although, if I could choose, one battle against Red would have been sufficient enough for me. He's a special character in the game, and if I got to battle him over and over again then it would become dull after an x number of times. I know what his strategy would be like and I know what his team would be like. Plus, I would only be getting stronger, therefore making the battle less of an experience.

The journey up Mt. Silver is as long as it is, but the Elite Four has always been good enough for when I wanted to easily train a Pokémon. Not to say I won't challenge Red possibly twice, but I won't overdue it just to train a Pokémon of mines when there are other routes to take in doing so. If it's just to battle him, then it's different, but I would prefer not to overdue it or else, again, the challenge would become less of an excitement.

I think it would have been pretty cool that if the second time around you battle him he changes to a random location or maybe you get to battle Leaf instead.

I think you should be able to rematch, as most people won't bother may times, as their pokemon'll be so weak they'll not be able to afford the items.

And on an earlier point.Double Battling and Blue should appear. How?By battling the two girls, Blue and Kris.I dunno where, maybe bottom of Mount Silver?Or on an added on route onto the top of Mt. Moon. Or on Cinnabar Island, seeing as it's got no gym now

No, maybe you could find the girl Green on top of Mt. Silver, instead of Red, or maybe you could battle both of them, Red and the girl Green at the same time. That's just a thought, no big deal about it, please.

A double battle with Red and Green(to avoid possible confusion, Viridian's gym leader) would be pretty interesting...

To answer the question, I'm really not entirely sure. I suppose I agree with the sentiments that Red is unique like a legendary Pokémon and thus should be battled only once. Besides, don't we have all the other gym leaders to battle for rematches?

On the complete OTHERHAND, I never did beat my Gold and Crystal games, so I never got to go up against Red....

I'm glad that you can rebattle him, but I would have expected someone as strong as Red to only be battled once.

Just makes him more special that way. :/
At least you can battle him for experience.

No.

Should be able to battle him in other nasty dungeons like right where Lugia is/was in Whirl Islands. Kinda close to where the Karate King would be. Halfway into Diglett's Cave.

Or across the table from your Mom at your house.

He should be able to be re-battled.
Also would be cool if he levels up until all Level 100.

I think that he should be there to re-battle. Not only for good training, but for Red being so awesome~
