Oh,What a shame.
What a shame.
'Tis a crime,eh?
Where The Grass Is Greener.
There is a sunny light.
Perhaps rays of darkness?
In times of fright.

Too Scared to look.
Top dog or Underdog?
Where the Grass is greener
There's supposed to be Happy people.
But What about sad people?
Where the Grass is greener.

Oh The Shame.
The Agony!
The pity!
Where the Grass Is Greener
It's a little too Green.
The World is Perfect
Unlike Ours
Where we're Alone.
All Alone.

The Void we must fill.
Is not Petrified
To Fill our Deep Hole.
Perhaps a shovel?
Where the Grass is Always Greener
We should use the dirt
To fill the hole.
Where the grass is always greener..

Winner

I think that Astinus don't mind If I double post here to announce the winner.

Congratulations to tjgamer with his winning piece Lanturn's Pond
Lanturn's Pond
Written by: TJgamer

Whenever you fall asleep, or stare into space in thought,
You may imagine a new place, of a tranquil spot.

I think I may know a certain place that will satisfy you,
Just listen to me, and remember well what I'm about to construe.

When the sun goes down, and the sky is clear and black,
Walk to the edge of the wood, and don't turn back.

Trod deep into the wood, about a quarter of a mile,
Then stand still, and imagine the place for a while.

Try to hear the soft lapping of a soothing liquid,
Try to visualize the crystal clear fluid.

Now expand your mind to a greater extent,
Continue to do so till a hundred percent.

Then, you'll see there is earth surrounding the drink,
Keep it strong in your mind, and do not blink.

Now think of bioluminescent plants and fungi,
But remember, they are best seen when it's a dark sky.

The water helps keep the plants smooth and mellow,
And gives them energy to show colors, green and yellow.

It is such a beautiful pond, that almost seems to glow.
The reason is 'cause there is a Pokémon far below.

This Pokémon keeps the pond bright in the night,
It has power to keep the grove filled with light.

You may even see it submerge to the surface,
And see the Lanturn and its mighty purpose.

If it trusts the visitor, it will sing a song,
And it's Chinchou children shall rise and sing along.

Once you have all of this deep inside your mind,
Open your eyes, and the pond is what you'll find.

Now you won't need equipment, nor a reservation,
Just go there alone, and use your imagination.
Once again congratulations, the next theme will be announced later.
Thank you participants and I hope to see your entries next time. :]

This theme is giving me a little trouble. I should be able to get it done though...

EDIT: It's not that great, but...It's the best I could do. Don't let the title make you think the wrong thing XD

Spoiler:

Threadbare Love

This coat I wear is torn and tattered,
Worn down, beaten, and battered.
I've had it for years, since I was young,
When I was simple, heedless, and unstrung.

Despite its age, I still can wear
This coat, though it's threadbare.
It must be quite a sight, me in this coat,
You'd think, of others, I would take note.

I will still walk with it on my back,
For without it my glow would lack.
I sometimes get joked about and teased,
But with myself I am pleased.

This coat is special, made with love,
And this I am proud of.
It makes me happy just to wear it,
Through it is torn and nearly split.

(Little confused. Still 'Joy', isn't it?) Hmm, alrighty then. This doesn't follow any particular rhythm or rhyme scheme, so I hope that's OK. I write a lot, but I do very little poetry, hehe.

Spoiler:
A dying sun
Sinks toward the horizon
Staining the clouds
Blood-red

On our little hill
The wind is blowing gently
Rippling the long grass
In waves

The falling sun
Kisses the horizon softly
And there is beauty
In life

I am just happy
To be here right now
Watching the sunset
With you

Good luck all who entered (or are going to)!

Note: I just noticed that the haiku in the winner's emblem description is one syllable off in the second line, unless I counted wrong three times in a row. It has been known to happen. XD

I hope you all like it.

The Pokémon of Bliss
Written by: TJgamer

Ever had the feeling of doubt,
That all things are against you,
Causing you to sit around and pout?

There's a Pokémon who can aid,
Who can really brighten your spirits,
So relax and don't be afraid.

She will have kindness to share,
It rests in its little pouch,
An egg it will best prepare.

Once she senses how sad you feel,
It will hand the egg over to you,
For it will make a pleasant meal.

Now just take one bite from her gift,
And a soothing sensation,
Will slowly begin to lift.

Within that very minute,
You will be cheerful again,
Its power is almost infinite.

Once you are the power's witness,
Spread the word to other people,
So Blissey will share her great kindess.

I was hoping for a new topic, but if it's going to be another week I may as well try this one out.

Spoiler:

The Joy Particle

Having theorized its existence all her life
today the scientist discovered the joy particle

Pausing to clear her dry throat as she has done
since childhood, she elucidates its history,
the possibilities

It will regulate the blood and decrease appetite,
making ambrosia of swill and oil. Surely
a wide market will open its gates

It has guided fish to land and apes to art
in the fingertips of their struggling, primitive hands

It jumps the skin of lovers on sails of their whispers,
keeps the stars spinning in their eyes
and the moon from sinking in their hearts

It cuts through time to shatter thorns and castles,
and birth the gold and bronze fawns inside

Quicker than electrons buzzing in the brain,
dreams countless as the shapes of clouds,
the seeds of natural miracles

Can you show it to us, they ask
with hands, fists and palms, grasping
No, she replies. I have not seen it

Long hair on the playground, red ball
against the blacktop, invisible to science

She’d heard it in the rain

That'd be Lightning's domain as she kindly wrote the description on the upload. But eh, it's not a big worry right? XD
