ok im about to start doing harvesting of berries and i am wondering how long each berry takes to grow and how to get more than 2 berries per seed (berry) planted.

im hunting around and got MOST of the actual attainable ones (not got to Mirage Island yet though to get the ultra rare lichie berry :( )

thanks in advance and if i have missed this infomation in the stickied guides i am very sorry but ive looked through them and not found what it is im currently looking for.

thanks in advance guys

Berries... I can't give exact times or seed reproduction, but I'm sure if you go to GameFaqs.com there'll will be a guide somewhere. I can't be bothered to copy/paste this early in the morning >.<

ok then...that leads to another question...how does watering the berries heaps compare to only watering them only once? will it grow quicker or just have more berries to harvest in the end?

also another related question: how many 'stages' of growth are there? just planted, sprouting etc. anyone know this one?

thanks for the answers so far guys, its greatly appreciated

Jaws....

Watering doesn't affect the speed of process in the berries. They just make more berries appear when you've grown them. I planted a rare berry and did not water it and later on (about 3 days like you said), only one berry appeared! ONE stupid little berry which is the same amount I planted (meaning no profit). Next I tried watering it ALOT of times and THEN it grew two (better then one I guess).

There are a few berries that the wife give you that depend on the Pokemon in your Pokedex. Try using the phrases "Cool Latios", "Overwhelming Latias", "Contest Challenge", and "Super Hustle" once you have a contest pass, the Latis, and (oops, I forgot the last one). One of the berries is a Watmel, and one is Lum.

My little sister says that watering planted berries and trees every half-hour (while playing game) increases the yield significantly. Since Lum cures any status problem, it will not yield much unless you take good care of it even though it is a low-level berry.

Leichi is just about impossible to get, due to the fact that Mirage Island almost never appears (depends on some wacky "invisible" number assigned to your Pokemon; the island's "key" changes every day, so you have to be persistent).

Some good berries can be obtained by using an E-Reader and the appropriate card. Unfortunately, if you swipe a second such card, the berries obtained via the first will be transformed into the second, so the best way to grow 'em all is to Shark one of each.

I am a lousy berry farmer, so you'll have to figure out your own berry-watering schedule, lol... but DO try those phases and see what happens. :)

There are also a number of individuals who give you berries every day:
Girl in Sootopolis -- two berries daily (good)
Girl north of Desert -- Razz daily
Boy right of Lanette's house near Meteor falls -- Bluk daily
Old Woman across bridge from Pretty Petals flower shop -- one-time, two-berries
Youngest Sister in Flower Shop -- one berry daily (low level)
Girl far south of Fortree City (after passing through; she is by a puddle of water down hill from a pond) -- two berries daily (fairly good)

There are more, I think. They really cut down on time when you are looking for a specific Pokeblock ingredient. If you Surf northwest of the lower Meteor Falls entrance, you can find Kelpsy plants in a clearing where the Swablus are. There is a row of three Sitrus plants near a base-yielding bush in the rainy area South of and beyond Fortree city. You must use cut to get in. Also, where the girl is, next to the puddle, there are many different berries around the pond above her.

...Hope this helps.

FR GS Code for all berries max:
42025af40085
000100280004
42025af65212
000000280004

Don't use this before you have the berry pouch. The berry pouch does not appear until you have been given a berry in-game.
