I myeslf am an anthro artist. I draw people who are half human and half animal. The thing is, I find when looking for Anthro Art on the net most of it is more sexual than anything else. I'm probably one of the fewest number of Anthro Artists who draw clean material only. That is why I'm asking the people's opinion. I myself would like to post up my Art for all to see, but I want to first see if it would be appreciated before I expose my art to the public.

I should also let you know that becasue my art is made when inspiration strikes, which happens mostly in school, most of my art is black and white on lined paper. Some of it I plan on transfering to lineless and color it, but for now if I scan it you'll have to deal with the possibility of bad scans due to the lines on teh paper and the fact I did it in pencil. :\

I hate most anthro and furry art, just because a large number of it looks like warner brothers and disney characters getting down and dirty. And a lot of it is just weird. But there are some really great anthro artists, like the well-known Goldenwolf. I prefer anthros that are just anthromorphic non-humans, like aliens, as opposed to furries who are based off animals like a wolf person and so on.

I don't really like antro, not because it's bad (I don't like that part either...) and stuff, but because I don't like humans. I like myself, but how people look isn't as awesome as a dragon or any other animal, posing to attack, sleeping, or doing anything. Combing the two just kills it and isn't too great. I mean, who would crossbreed humans and some other creatures like that anyway? Sounds too farfetched to me.

They don't "crossbreed", anthro are a different race. They are creatures who just happen to look humanlike in form. That's why I don't like furries because they call eachother animals, like a mouse furry or a fox furry... but anthro are just creatures.

Ivee is right.

I must admit the main reason why I draw anthros is because I can't draw normal people too well. My anthros are basically animals in human shape. I'll break it down the four anthros I've established to my name.

Jannette Green. Reptilian Anthro. Animal Relation: Komodo Dragon. Teh first ever anthro I created. She's the wife of my Anthro named Duke Johnson. I'll get to him later. She is usually the focus of most of my drawings.

Duke Johnson. Vulpine Anthro. Animal Relation: Forest Fox. The first furred Anthro I made. Husband to Jannette Green. A basic character, one I most associate myself with.

Danny R. Coone: I believe he is a marsupial, although I could be mistaken. Animal Relation: Raccoon. A friend of mine helped me make this one. Basically I drew a drawing of Duke, and he changed it till it became Danny. Danny is a skateboarder, and the husband of a one Anne P. Baune, whom I'll get to in a minute. Whenever I draw a picture of this guy, I consult my friend who helped me to make him.

Anne Phoebe Baune. Amphibious Anthro. Animal Relation: Poison Dart Frog. My smallest and most petite anthro. Because of her poison glands, she's deadly to the touch unless you've developed an immunity. All of my characters have done so. She is also the wife of Danny R. Coone and is the most peaceful of all my anthros.

I'm thinking I may post my art, but I've found the scans I make are too big. Does anyone know how I can shrink the files down? :\

Change the file format. For instance, a BitMap is usualy twice as large as a GIF, or a JPEG. Most Photoshop editors can do stuff like that, and even shrink the size if nessecary.

I say it's great. Aside from some people whose minds are slightly different in moral values, Anthro art is another way of imagining a creature, especially in RPGs when you want to be (for example) a dragon, but don't wish to bang your head in the ceiling because you're too big or too tall.

I love anthro art. I personally, wish I could do them myself, though I've never been much of an artist.

Personally, I like half-breed/crossbreeds more. I love things like humans with dragon wings, or cat-like ears. Maybe a fox tail. Who knows, I just find it to be cool!
To many, a Mew is but a a phantom, a legend dissapearing into thin air. For now, so too must I be. Right now, I am indeed, a phantom.

I draw anthros long before I can draw humans and still do. (Check out my gallery in my sig below.) I reason why I draw them first is because it's much easier than drawing humans.

Sadly, yiff or furry porn/hentai made the genre look bad, so furry haters stereotyped the whole group as a result. Others treated the anthro artists badly just simply because they "think" they don't know how to draw humans. (Believe me, I know; I've been treated that way when I was in elementary and high school.) Despite the nasty stuff associated with anthro and furry art, that doesn't stop me from liking the genre.

I like the genre since, quite simply, I used to be one. I still can't draw, so I know how they felt. Jealous, because someone had taken two forms of art and combined them. And good for you M'Lady, I bow to your efforts and Perserverance.
