The heart is such a curious thing.
It flutters and leaps when you are near
That I should faign it would leap from my throat
and land in your hands like it belongs there.

But when you're gone, my heart, it hurts.
It bers a wound and gives an ache.
And so I must wait till you return
And my heart will follow in your wake.

The angel has peirced me with his arrow
So entranced I became at the sound of your voice.
And lo, it seems, you've been peirced as well
And you heart's now in my hands by its own choice.

Thus I hold you heart and you hold mine
But we dare not dream to give them back.
So what's mine is yours and what's your is mine
And we protect them from any blemish or crack.

Now what beats in my chest once beat on yours
And what beats in yours chest once beat in mine.
And so, together, we're boudn by teh heart
And share a bond, a love most divine.

We cannot part, for our hearts will ache
And they urge us closer, together they sing
A love once forged will never be broke
for the heart is such a curious thing.

Dedicated to Mew13.

That's so nice and cute. ^^ You two should get married. XD It proves you're a good pair... unlike me and my pair, who never talk (I didn't talk to any of my five pairs XD)

ANNOY ME AT YOUR PERIL. I am becoming increasingly tired of the unmanly elitism and closed-mindedness of certain members who shall remain unnamed.

Another one I've come up with just now. Mew's been gone for the last few days with no explanation, and it has me torn up inside. So this is a free verse continuation of my previous poem entitled. "When you are gone."

Where did you go?
To where went the loving warmth that filled this void within my soul?
My hearts bleeds its tears as it weeps for you
And fills my bosom with its cold anguish.

It misses you. As do I.
My world holds no meaning when you're not in it,
Cold and melancholy with no guiding light.
I wish you would return.

I've let you down. I feel it somehow.
Something I did or didn't do drove you away from me.
I can't find the truth, for it hides behind meaningless guilt
which in turn hides behind the facade of truth.

I'm lost without you. And I need you to find me.
My heart goes in circles to find what went wrong. What didn't go wrong.
What keeps us apart when we should be together.
The pain won't stop until you return. I only feel this way when you are gone.

*Hugs back* you had worried me. And my worry, when provided with no explanation, turns into guilt and fear and all sorts of mind eating emotions. I ahd to find an outlet for them, or the emotional suffering threatened to never stop.

Forgive me for double posting,b ut I've written another poem in honor of MEw13. I've been writing poetry alot lately, which is odd because usually I'm not a poet. :\ But anyway, this new peice is entitled. " I Am."

I am.

I am your protector.
I stand at your door to keep out the bad
And let in the good.
I guard you against sorrow and fear.
No evil shall take you while I'm your protector.
I am.

I am your loving pet.
I sit by your bed to defend you while you sleep.
When you pet me I wag my tail
And when you hug me I enjoy your attention.
When malevolence approaches you
I bark and growl and gnash my teeth.
You ahve a loyal friend in me.
I am.

I am your patient
And you are teh doctor who cures my sickness.
Your words are an antidote to all my poisons
And your care is a miracle cure to all my vexations.
No other doctor has the medicine you ahve.
I am your dependent, who's existance relies on you.
I am.

I am your heart.
My purpose is to provide you life and invigoration
And in turn my existance depends on you.
When you are ill I feel it
And when you are unhappy I sense it.
For you I beat as I should and do what I can.
I am your love ever faithful.
I am.

I love you too, Mew. I wrote this poem remembering our conversation from last night. I wanted to convey just how much I love you. And even then, I don't think I accomplished that. Nothing as simple as words can truly convey my feelings for you.
