standardize tests? In Texas, we take the TAKS, and I found that test as easy as can be, I passed all sections of it with honorable mention...

SAT is kinda hard...my current score is 1090 with a 610 on math and 480 in verbal...a lot of bipolarity there eh?

The only standardize testing I had to do so far was something called EQAO, which is in Grade 3 and 6 in public school, and in grade 9 math, also the Literacy test that has to be passed in order to graduate from highschool, which starts tommorow.

XD Yeah. That test pissed me off for that whole day XD When I got home from the test, my parents started making me do a bunch of other stuff even though I was uber tired from taking the test.

The only stanardize test in Maryland that I know of is the MSA's that last for 4 days with about 4 hours each day. They're annoying. I think you need to take them every year now. It used to be grades 3, 5, and 8 but now I think its every grade from 3 to 10 then 12. Not sure.

Ha, don't complain. This month (week!) I have final exams for year 12. They're what decides what university I get into. :P

Ugh, standardized tests. x_x I took the PSATs last Saturday. I also took 'em last year but I don't remember my score. But I had to take it again since they apparently hate the class of '06 and change all the rules for us. Now the SATs will contain Algebra II and an essay but no analogies. And the top score is no longer 1600... it's 2200, I think.

Anyways, besides all that here in CT we also take the CAPT tests sophomore year... which as of last year we have to pass to graduate (see, they hate my class x_x). I got my scores this weekend and I passes with no problem and even hit the advanced score in math and science. Every even grade from 4-8 we also had to take the CMTs... which I guess are to practice for the eventual CAPT test.

Oh, quit complaining, JA. =X Just drop out until your age group catches up with you and then take the tests. XD Then you'll have a few years to study, right?

^_^ They only have those tests in Ontario... the rest of Canada doesn't have standardized testing from what I know. o_O I came here in grade 7, so I missed the grade 3 and 6 EQAO... and then I skipped grade 8 math and took grade 9 math in grade 8. We didn't take EQAO then, and then I was told I didn't have to take it last year. o_O So the literacy test is my first standardized test ever. And it sucks. ;_; We did the first half of it today. =x

Ya I did the first half today too, I was so nervous I had to take my sweet time XD, there was a paragraph question, "Do you think people should have pet's?", that was expected to be 3 pages long so I had to write as I went along because mine was so short...that took me about 30 minutes to finish, and I didn't end up finishing about 2 questions, I just hope that didn't screw up my chances of passing.

Oh, my God that question was annoying. It said a MINIMUM of three paragraphs, and they give us three pages to do it in. How big do they want these paragraphs exactly? I almost laughed when it said, "Provide facts to support your statement"; because you know, we have information available to us during a test. Honestly, I have no knowledge on the subject of pets, so I just started make up gibberish:

"You should get a pet that suites your lifestyle. If you're lazy then you should purchase a low maintenance fish, instead of a dog."

But, these EQAO things are simple. In Grade 3, I remember filling questions and thinking to myself, "They're kidding with this, right?" In Grade 6, I had less time to complete all the booklets (because I was on vacation and came home after a few days of testing) and I still finished before some of the class. I had to work on several books at once because I had less time. O_o

Math last year...it was easy, but math is my strongest subject. I got a mark that moist would be proud of, by I have high standards for myself. And today's English...is incredibly easy. I'm positive that on one of the multiple-choice pages they were giving me the answers.

In England, we have 2 sets of exams at school. When you're 16 you take your GCSEs -normally about 8 subjects. When you're 18 you take your A-Levels -normally about 3 or 4.
(We start uni at 18, and have 3 years since we have an extra year and set of exams at school)
But..as for me..i've completed my first degree at university, and now I'm doing my Masters ^^; it's so much work -.- but it'll be worth it in the end

Well, I was supposed to take mine, like, three weeks ago, only, I missed school on the day I was supposed to take it.
Then, someone told me that if I didn`t take it, that the school would like, fail some sort of thing, and I`m like...Not gonna take it, cause of that. F*CK THE SYSTEM!!!

Err, what test were you talking about? XD
The SSHSAT? It's sooooo annoying.
That test is all about competition since everyone's fighting to get into Stuyvesant High School.
Since only 100 people of about 50000 other students, that'll leave me with a nice chance of 0.2%. How cheap. XD
