I wrote this to help visualize a Sunrise in the Pokemon world. It is just supposed to be a nice peaceful poem.
Charmander’s Dawn.
I climb the northern peak of Mt. Moon, and wait for a sight. The sight I seek is a sunrise. The air is cold, the stars are bright. The ending of the night. So promising of a day to come.
I see a Sentret, who stays on his post. Hoothoots fly for their slumber. A Spinarak comes out of hiding, and scurries to a crack. A Starly can be heard in a faraway tree, yearning for its Breakfast. I stop this climb to look at the diverse forest during the beginning of dawn. A Larvitar hurries by me, and eats soil from the top a large rock in front of me.
One Pokeball.
So many choices.
I see a small lake to the east, where Psyduck swim and Mudkip wrestle with Poliwags. A Gyarados smiles at his young Magikarp. The sky gets lighter the higher I climb. A Ditto finds himself copying a rock, while a Geodude laughs at the transformation. I climb higher and higher still, and then I see the peak. Only a lone Charmander stands at that peak. His tail flickers, while his eyes scan the east unmovingly. He is without a doubt waiting for the sunrise as well. An Xatu waits at the base of the mountain as well, while his little Natus decide to play. The Charmander finally notices me, and when I hold up my Pokeball he puts up his hand, as if to say, “Not right now.”
We both watch the sky turn into the array of colors it is. The sun slowly rises over the world. While Lunatone slink into a comatose state around the mountain, Solrock rise like balloons. The Sun clears the top of the horizon and is a large mass of color and light. Charmander’s eyes twinkle with excitement. More creatures come out of Incognito. I step away from the peak, and climb back down. As I leave the Charmander seems confused on why he was not caught. I tell him: “You deserve to see sights like this”. He nods his head and as I walk away I see his silhouette in the golden sun.
I hoped you all liked it! Tell me what you think!
