I thought that he's harder now. Except Snorlax/Espeon in GSC everything else was a joke.
You're probably right. I probably found it hard in Crystal cause' I must have been about 7 years old or something and at that time I didn't believe in capturing other Pokemon I pretty much Solo-runned it with a Feraligatr or Typhlosion xD

BIIIIIG Update. XD Elite 4 pics are in spoiler tags. :)

Anyway, after being done in New Bark Town, I was told some people were looking for me...

After shamelessly killing the Legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh (Bug Types Don't Like Fire, Silly Kimono Girls!), it was off to journey to the Pokemon League... As I made my way to Victory Road, I enjoyed the scenery. Then, upon arriving at the exit to Victory Road, I was greeted to something I've grown to expect.

Anyway, after that was done too, it was time to challenge the league. I didn't know how my bugs would do, but only time would tell...

Spoiler:

First Up Was Will, the Master of the Psychic Types... the Perfect Prey for my Bugs.

Needless to say, he fell quite easy thanks to Shadow Sneak, X-Scissor, Bug Bite, etc.

Next up was Koga, master of the poison type.

Other than *cough* copying my team *cough*, the battle was quite smooth, thanks to Strobe's immunity to poison, as well as Charlotte and Spore's Psychic attacks.

Next up was Bruno, the fighting master...

Who, just like the previous two, fell quite easily thanks to Aerial Ace and Psychic.

The final Elite 4 member was next, Karen, master of the Dark...

Unfortunately for her, Dark Types are weak to Bug AND Fighting Type moves, which are readily available on my team. XD

Finally, I was down to my last fight... Lance, the Dragon Master, my worst enemy...

Gyarados gave me the most issues. Nothing I had could really hurt him, I actually ended up resorting to stalling with Strobe, and fighting back with Payback. Charizard was Guillotined, because to be honest, nothing I had could fight against him. Aerodactyl fell fast to Strobe's Gyro Ball, due to his lack of speed and Aerodactyl's actual speed.

Finally, his Dragonites. I had contemplated using Guillotine, but in the end, I decided that I might as well stick to trying to take them on regularly, as I was capable of taking out Clair's dragons. Surprisingly, they were all taken out in one hit by Spore's Signal Beam. (I used it over Sludge Bomb for the confuse chance, as I didn't think I'd be capable of taking them out in one shot. Tinted Lenses = <3 <3 <3)

And just to clarify: I healed after each battle with my medicines, xD If the fact their health is back confuses anyone. And if someone was hurt, I'd often swap them out when the next pokemon was sent in. That's why most the pokemon have full health in the screenies of each of the Elite 4's pokemon. Some don't such as Strobe in the Lance shot, as I didn't have time to heal up after Guillotining Charizard. I went through about 15 Full Restores and about 5 Revives in Total.

Elite 4 Champions:~

I LOL at your matchup vs Koga.

And I think you meant Lance (Drake -> 4th Hoenn E4 member).

I used Gyro Ball to faint Aerodactyl too! :D And I think my Butterfree went through Lance's other 5 Pokes with Sleep Powder + Shadow Ball :D

Oh and I'm having a lot of fun with the old E4 now :D Me First is really a fun move to use. It goes like this:

Lance sent out Dragonite!
Go, Dolfy (Stantler)!
Dolfy uses Me First!
Dolfy uses Outrage!
It's super effective!
Dragonite fainted!
Lance sent out Dragonite!

Ariados was accidental... then it just became to taunt him. (And to get good screenies) XD Forretress vs Forretress was lol. I sent him out, used Payback, next thing I know, "Forretress used Explosion!" XD

And I knew it was Lance, XD I'm getting tired :P I even named the image correctly, just typed it wrong up there, XD

And just FYI, my Playtime is so high cause sometimes I leave the emulator open and forget about it, lol. It didn't take me 20 extra hours to grind 20 levels, lol.

But you can only get the upgraded E4 by beating Red? O_o

Or am I misunderstanding what you're saying.
Nope, it upgrades after you get the Earth Badge.

What came as a surprise was that you could catch Articuno before the Earth Badge.

EDIT: YES YES YES I BEAT KAREN!!!!!!
But I think I stand 0% chance against Lance. I'm depending on you, ROLLOUT. :D
(The Salamence likes to use Flamethrower. Seriously!?!!?!??!)

EDIT AGAIN: LOL I WIN HAHAHAHA ROLLOUT!
(Lance was significantly easier than Karen.)

Pokemon HGSS Monotype Challenge V2!
Update #15 - You know what? Not so smooth.

Sorry for the crazy update speed, I really have nothing to do these days. My friends are all back home and I'm the only one in my hostel.

Spoiler:
So.. after thrashing my rival at Mt. Moon, he screamed about going to Dragon's Den to train. We should head there too, but the official stuff shall be done first.
Continuing my adventure..

I think Blue's kinda cool, but he needs us to fight the red-hot Blaine first.

By the time I fought Blaine, my Aqua Tail had no PP -.- That's why I resorted to MooMoo's trusty Rollout.

YAY! :D But wait! It's time for Dragon's Den.
Look who's there!

This battle was crazily hard; took me >15 resets to get it right.
Meganium was really tanky; my turn 1 always started with Reflect (LightClay-ed) and he always used Light Screen.
That made Gyarados' Ice Fang deal 20% to my rival's Meganium =P Quite crazy.
Stealth Rock saved the day though; 50% damage to Charizard is pure awesomeness.
- Gengar's Sludge Bomb helped me deal a lot of damage too.
- Kangaskhan Outraged Kingdra to death and drained one of the Dragonites a lot.
- Obviously, Draco Meteor OHKOes anyone.
- I HATE Thunder Wave, which both Gyarados and Dragonair possess.
- This match ended up with Girafarig Psychic-ing Clair's Dragonite to death.

More sidetracking.. Yes I have this much time to catch those beasts.

And it's time for Ho-oh!

Easily captured :D Miltank with Thick Fat takes no sweat tanking his Sacred Fire.
Was seriously bored, so decided to just hit at Blue. =P

The last hit by Stantler was actually a Me First - Air Slash :D

"Oh, ****, E4 is upgraded. ZZZ"

(Did not take any pictures because I was seriously fed up with the amount of resets I had to do.)
Furthermore I went in with.. 8 revives and 18 Lemonades, 2 Max Potions and 1 Full Restore. :D

Will - Generally easy.
Bronzong - Earthquake.
Gardevoir - Crunch.
Jynx - Crunch.
Grumpig - Crunch.
Slowbro, Xatu - Thunder.

(No sweat.)

Koga - PP Wasting.
Skuntank - Earthquake.
The rest - 8 Psychics, I think (that leads to the next nightmare).

(I need PP Ups!)

Bruno - OMYGOSH.
It was certainly a fun battle.

Spoiler:
Hitmontop goes like this:
- Stantler used Reflect!
- Hitmontop used Close Combat!
(~65% damage)
- Stantler used Confuse Ray!
- Hitmontop hit itself due to confusion! (~10% damage)
- Stantler used Me First! Stantler used Close Combat (150% power)!
- Hitmontop fainted!

Stantler used Me First! Stantler used Close Combat (150% power)!
Hitmonlee fainted!

Hitmonchan thrashed my Stantler, and went down form a LOT of lucky Paralysis from Miltank. (the Full Restores were used here)
Hariyama was wasted by Psychic, but Miltank died in the process.
Only 1 Psychic left; sadly it didn't decimate Machamp, leaving him at 5% HP. (Girafarig was pawned thereafter)
Sent out my HM Slaves while reviving, and Kangaskhan finally got him down (somehow Bruno didn't use a Full Restore despite him not having used up all. Maybe he was thinking that he could kill me?)

Lucario left; and I knew I might be losing it because I only had Kangaskhan left.
Stalled him using my remaining Lemonades (Close Combat = ~65%, Lemonade = ~35%) until his defenses dropped, and BOOM! Return wasted him.

WIN!

KAREN - SHE IS A ***** OMG

Spoiler:
I thought my nightmare was over, then THAT GODDAMN WEAVILE HAD LOW KICK.

- Reflect, sent Miltank out (Low Kick with Reflect = ~20% to Miltank)
- Stealth Rock, ROLLOUT :D
- 3HKO Weavile, OHKO Absol and Houndoom (Rollout ends) (until here took me at least 15 resets)
- Honchkrow was surprisingly easy to take on, had my Kangaskhan 2HKO with Return, while being Thunder Waved and Drill Pecked.
- Umbreon is my NEMESIS.

My final tactic against Umbreon was to stall out its Payback (Cursed Payback is CRAZY.) and Sucker Punch, then had Girafarig Energy Ball it to death. (Physical attacks ~5% damage)

To my huge surprise, Lance wasn't too hard. (Only 2 resets!!!!!)
The Salamence (as mentioned above) likes to use Flamethrower;
- Reflect, sent out Miltank.
- Stealth Rock, ROLLOUT :D
- 3HKO Salamence, OHKO Dragonite, Gyarados.
- Kangaskhan Outraged Altaria to heaven, and to my surprise, heavily injured Garchomp (managed to hit it twice, its Outraged didn't OHKO me).
- Girafarig took care of Garchomp with an Energy Ball.
- Charizard came out, and Stealth Rock 50% damage XD
- Miltank proceeded to Rollout.

HALL OF FAME! :D

Dino - LV63 Kangaskhan
Docile/Scrappy
Leftovers
- Return
- Aqua Tail
- Crunch
- Outrage

Dolfy - LV61 Stantler
Serious/Intimidate
Light Clay
- Me First

Ok, it´s Update time. I got nothin´ to do atm, so i have enough time

- freed the Radio Tower from those rocket punks. Poison type is annoying
- got through Ice Path and fought Claire. Blizzard rocks, but it was a hard
fight. Won my last Badge
- Crawled through Mt. Mortar to get a free Tyrogue. I evolved it to
Hitmonchan and named it Bobby.
- trained Bobby for hours...til lv. 36 (I really have to much time)
- Abandoned Kicker cause i haven´t used him much...
- Got a Call from Elm and had to walk to New Bark, only to hear that the
Kimono Girls in Ecruteak want to see me...
- The Kimono Girls first attempt:
- Umbreon was not worth mentioning
- Espeon ripped through my team and was finally stooped by Chad Lee,
my last Pokemon
- Flareon got kicked by Chad Lee
- Jolteon got blaze kicked and burned, it fainted
- Vaporeon finished Chad Lee and me off
- The Revenge on those Girls:
- Umbreon...nothing to say
- Espeon took out Julie and Delia and nearly Chad Lee. A Blaze Kick
sent it dreamin
- Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon were no problem afterwards.
- Climbed up that Bell Tower and smashed that ugly legenday Bird
- went to Victory Road. Whenever i Walk those Routes i´m wondering
about those really weak Trainers...come on guy beat me with your lv 35
Mareep(his only Pokemon...)
- made my way through Victory Road and beat my Rival. No real Challenge

Current Team:

Delia the Poliwrath
lv. 44

Dig
Blizzard
Surf
Body Slam

Chad Lee the Blaziken
lv 42

Blaze Kick
Double Kick
Shadow Claw
Slash

Julie the Heracross

EMOXY HOW DO YOU TAKE DS SCREENSHOTS!!!!!!!!!
Moon Stone
- Pokethalon (National Dex)
- Mum will buy for you some time
- Ruins of Alph (a few puzzles clearing needed)
- Tohjo Falls
- Mt. Moon (Monday)

I'm on emulator.

I feel sad when I see all of you thrasing the Kimonos when I have a real hard problem against them. (My levels were ~36 though)

DQ'd = disqualified lulz
:(

Emoxy, are your HM slaves normal types?

Because I thought you couldn't throw them out in battle, even to revive/heal your main team o_o
I think it's allowed lol.
Anyway, it's a Farfetch'd an a Gyarados, and I almost always sent out Farfetch'd as Intimidate would spoil the fun.
(I redefeated the E4 many times to grind, and without the HM Slaves XD)

LEFT WITH ASH! More grinding (again).
Let me go wash my face.

EDIT:

Used a Farfetch'd, meh..

MooMoo VS Lapras

Too long didn't write.
Basically, stall using Milk Drink while Lapras Brines, and Body Slam it to death. RED used another Full Restore here.

I'm sure I missed some Full Restores.

MooMoo - LV70 Miltank
Careful/Thick Fat
Hard Stone
- Rollout
- Stealth Rock
- Body Slam
- Milk Drink
Star of the team. Stealth Rock proved incredibly useful (especially against Lance), Rollout is a gay move, super tank, STAB Body Slam is powerful, can heal itself (and allies!). Nuff said.

Dino - LV70 Kangaskhan
Docile/Scrappy
Leftovers
- Return
- Aqua Tail
- Crunch
- Outrage
Physical sweeper. Fast, though attack is only above average. Aqua Tail was useful in coverage. STAB Return is crazy. Outrage helps a lot against Garchomp (where Rollout didn't work =P) and against the first Lance.

Geeraff - LV70 Girafarig
Quiet/Inner Focus
Choice Scarf
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
- Thunder
Was rather useless at first, but after teaching it Thunder/Energy Ball, and slapped a Choice Scarf on it (it had -Speed nature), became a powerful special sweeper. VERY useful against Will/Koga/Bruno with Psychic/Shadow Ball.

Dolfy - LV70 Stantler
Serious/Intimidate
Light Clay
- Me First
- Confuse Ray
- Reflect
- Earthquake
Support freak. Reflect is pretty damn powerful with Light Clay, without it the challenge is impossible. Earthquake deals with Koga, and Me First is extremely fun. (Watch it Close Combat Bruno's Hitmons to death)

Furry - LV43 Furret
Hasty/Run Away
Silk Scarf
- Headbutt
- Sucker Punch
- Focus Blast
- Assist
My very first Pokemon, thought not very powerful, the high speed is appreciated. Headbutt flinches were useful.
Challenge complete! Game time: 104 hours o.o
