Still 1-0. I think it's going to stay like that. I would have liked to see Nigeria score, but they didn't lose that bad. It's only one goal. At one point Obasi got hurt in his private xD poor guy. But what made me laugh the most is that there's one Nigerian player called Muktu! I was roflmao so hard and my parents didn't understand a thing xD

That used to make me laugh but I've heard his name too many times (he plays/played in England for those who dont know) for it to provoke a reaction now.

Well thats that, now for the wait before the England-USA game.

I think Messi played well, but his teammates need to get into the rhythm. I also think that Maradona took a bit long for the changes. Argentina played well overall they could have done more.

Nigeria played good missed a few key plays, but I still think next game there going to do better.

Chances of USA winning are low, maybe a draw? I want to see Gerrard score a goal XD
Don't underestimate them. There's a reason they're only 6 places below England in the World rankings.

I'm still of the belief we'll scrape it.

He plays for Bolton now :D. Anyways Argentina looked dangerous and passed the ball well how it remained 1 - 0 i'll never know.
Thanks. Thought they might have gotten rid of him by now.

I think the world rankings are quite flawed.

Knowing us we'll stutter to a 1-0 win given its our first game, I hope we build pace in the group stage so we can be confident going into the last 16.

Nope, I think they're quite accurate.

USA have got the players to cause us troubles. You look at Howard, Guzan, Hanhnemann, Spector, Dempsey, Donovan and Altidore, these are all players who have played in the Premier League so they're clearly not short of quality.

You look at the clubs they've played for in the premiership though and only Howard and Donovan have been at good ones.

Howard - Manchester United (Poor aswell) then on to Everton
Donovan - Everton
Guzan - Aston Villa (Good but he has only one appearance in the Premier league and probably wont be used for USA)
Hanhnemann - Reading & Wolves
Spector - Manchester United (but didnt cut it) and West Ham
Dempsey - Fulham (Fulham are average and when he joined they were relegation candidates and he isnt playign week in, week out now)
Altidore - Hull (and even there he was bad for the average quality of the team)

Also, you forgot DeMerit & Bocanegra who have.

Donovan & Micheal Bradley should be the ones who can make trouble but our squad is just a whole level higher than theirs.

I don't like Americans that much, even though I'm going to an American School soon xD

GO ENGLAND!!!

Or maybe I'll change my mind xD

No seriously, I don't know who to cheer for. Oh well, when the World Cup started I said I was going to be for the African teams and for those who don't usually win, so I'll go for USA after all lol.

GO USA!!!

I'm rooting for England, France, Spain, & the US (for obvious reasons). I'll be watching the US vs England match when it starts (I'm watching the pregame show now).

I highly doubt the US will win. I know, such a low.. self-esteem, if that's the proper term, for my country, but I really just don't think most (not all) Americans care about soccer that much. Personally, I'd be shocked if the Americans won against England today.

I think the USA will be a surprise. They've grown in soccer in the last few years. And they got into the finals of the Confederations' Cup. If they do as well as they did there, they can reach the quarter-finals, maybe better.
