Imagine there's something you've always wanted. You know it's impossible. Your friends however, think differently. They try to convince you that it is possible to get/achieve/purchase/find. You know you'll never get it, but due to their influences, you've started to think otherwise. This eventually sets you up for disappointment, when you regret listening to them in the first place. How would you / have you overcome this? Would you tell them to stop before it gets out of control? Or would you enjoy believing that this is likely? Pretty much yeah, share your views.

Aaaand, this can be applied to any situation regarding something you want, so yeah.

They way I look at it is, if you don't believe in yourself to do something, there is a good chance that you aren't going to succeed.
I concur with this statement.

To believe anything is impossible in life is to set yourself up to comply with your assumption of impossibility; you wouldn't be able to tackle anything at full force with that growing doubt lingering inside of you; and that tends to be what fails most people.

Yeah, they may have their excuses, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of an achievement, at least not completely. That is how people continue to improve themselves, and how those of the past have managed to accomplish great achievements that...would have been unheard of to others beforehand. If anything, it's a thought to linger upon.

Unfortunately there will be times where we fall short of our goals and other expectations despite friends/family egging you on, that could be because you have taken wrong decisions that have led you down that wrong path, or perhaps the timing of your action was completely misplaced. There is a 50/50 percent chance of rising or falling when it comes to perseverance; it depends on how great your drive, your willpower is.

I have an optimistic view on things such as this, therefore I have always believed that if an unfortunate experience were to happen and I do not achieve a goal of mine, there will be chances ahead...perhaps something better will be in your future to grab. As long as you believe, you will receive. But in the meantime...it's better to carry on with your life and live naturally.

But in answer to the question, I would just have to move on.
I also agree with this statement.

Nothing in life is technically impossible. If you are determines to make your goal possible then it can become a reality with hard work and effort. Its good to have people inspire you or motivate you but that's only part of the task, get out there and do it or whatever.

Its become like to obssesive then yeah...its time to move on. Who knows maybe you could fall back on it later on in life.

I don't think anything's impossible. I'm not that kind of thinker.

I don't let people bring me down like that from achieving something. Aiming for what people perceive to be impossible and achieving and having people look at you in awe is what makes the world great. Proving people wrong is so fun!

I agree with these two.

Move on if its getting out of hand.
