Broken Hearts - Broken Lives

Chapter 1: Pok Demise
I, Daniel Wood, had never lived a normal life. There were always problems for me. Such as having no parents. I was very parentally challenged. Also educationally challenged. I could only talk. I couldn't read or write. I could only use the basic words. I had no home, no money so I had to fend for myself. That's how challenged I was.
In fact, the only bright thing in my life were my friends; A Hypno and a Kabuto.
Every day after going for walks they would come and greet me once I got back to our camping spot, a beautiful flowery spot by a flowing river.

***
One day I went for my usual walk to collect berries. The tastiest food for Pokmon and humans that was free.
I came back with my arms full of tasty delicious Oran Berries. All three of us loved those.
Soon, I arrived back to camp and dropped the berries.
"Kabuto?" I called out. "Hypno?" there was no response. "Guys?"

I searched around frantically looking for them. Soon I found them near a tree. There was blood everywhere! Tears came from my eyes as I ran over to see if there were alright. The blood got thicker as I ran. Soon I arrived at what looked like my Kabuto. It was bleeding such a bad scarlet red blood that it was probably enough to paint a house!
Kabuto was on it's stomach, no shell. I flipped it over to the side that had no blood bracing myself for the worse. The front side looked nothing like Kabuto apart from the paw things.
It was a chocolate brown with black eyes. That was the real Kabuto. But I didn't care about that! My friend was gone and there was no way to bring him back. I yelled with tears pouring out quicker than before.
I ran over to Hypno who was also bleeding badly. The two had been brutally murdered. This wasn't fair for them. They didn't deserve this.
Hypno's skin was not yellow now. Hypno looked more like a rare Hypno. That much blood did it. It was then decided. I was going to find the jerks who did this to my Pokmon!

***
A Kabuto was crawling up to me while I was leaning against a tree to think. THe same tree it was murdered on. It crawled up to me and sat on my lap.
"Huh?" I asked looking at the small Pokmon. It looked up at me. The shining red eyes staring at me. I smiled and leaned back some more with my hand on it's brown shell. From then on, Kabuto was always my Pokmon.

***
"Kabuto!" I said smiling in my sleep. I had gone to sleep on the tree they were murdered on at mid-day.

***
While Kabuto and I were playing chase, a sad looking yellow Pokmon came to the tree and rested, head down.
While I was running, I saw the figure and went over to it. It was a Hypno. A sad looking one.
"What's wrong?" I asked the sad Pokmon.
"Hypno, hyp!" it said in a sadder voice.
I didn't understand it but I knew it was sad.
"Ummm..." I said thinking what to say. "Do you want to play chase with us?"
"Hyp!" the Pokmon said, sounding a bit happier.

***
"Hypno!" I said happily again. I then got up. "I won't let them get away with it!" this time, it was with an angry voice.

***
I decided I would leave town the next morning. Which I did. I had no Pokmon and no Pok Balls. None of those were easily accessable in Lavaridge without money. But suddenly I got a bright idea. Flannery! The Gym Leader of Lavaridge! She would help!

***
"So you want a Pokmon?" a young girl with red hair asked me. Her shirt was black with a flame on it and revealed her belly button.
"Yes," I said. "I need one!"
"And why would you need one?" Flannery asked. "If I remember correctly, you have two Pokmon. All the villagers agree on that!"
"Yes," I said. "But- but..." I flooded out in tears. "They died! I need to know who killed them! You are my only hope!"
"Oh!" Flannery said a bit shocked. "I'm sorry," she got a Pok Ball. "Take Slugma. You can keep him. He was kept for things like this. Now go, Daniel. Good luck!"
"Thanks!" I said wiping the tears from my eyes.

***
I buried Hypno and Kabuto when I got back. A few tears in my eyes.
"Rest in peace my friends!" I said sadly.
"Have you lost loved ones?" asked a voice behind me which made me jump.
"Yes," I said turning around. It was a blond woman who was in her thirties.
"I'm sorry!" she said. "Just remember Broken hearts - Broken lives, He will take them all!"
"What's that meant to mean?" I asked.
"I'm sorry," she said. "That's for you to find out! Good luck!"
She left and I looked at the red and white Pok Ball in my hand. Slugma would help me on my quest. I hoped.
Instead of worrying about that, I just decided to head out of Lavaridge Town.

OOFF: I'm sorry that was short. I know it's bad. What do you think?
