*shifty eyes*

I'm mad freaked out. I'm so paranoid that I'm doing something wrong. Eeee...

Anyway, this is my first fic on this site. If anyone likes it (gasp) you can check out my account Act on ff.net. I'm not quite sure if anyone here cares about disclaimers, but I'm pretty sure I don't own Pokemon. I'd also appreciate it if you asked before using anything of mine, but I in no way mind if you do (but yeah, ask first). So um... agaeda...yeah. Wh00twh00t.

Should be fun to go through and italisize evertything I have to X_x. Oh yeah, :TEXT: indicates Pokemon speech.

Pokedex v. RUBY Entry #202
The DNA of a space virus underwent a sudden mutation upon exposure to a laser beam and resulted in Deoxys. The crystalline organ on this Pokemon's chest appears to be its brain.
--its wreaked havoc at the Mossdeep Lab before taking off
--it hasnt been seen since

Pokedex v. RUBY Entry #201
A legend states that Jirachi will make true any wish that is written on notes attached to its head when it awakens. If this Pokemon senses danger, it will fight without awakening.
-- a cloned Jirachi egg is said to have hatched in Mossdeep at the same time that Deoxys was created, though no one knows for sure aside from the head of the experiment, Dr. Chris Solvati
-The Pokemon, whatever it was, fled and hasnt been seen since

Celadon City
POV: Omniscient

Luke Gregory sat on a couch in his living room while his older sister, June made dinner in the kitchen. The television flashed unnoticed things as Luke flipped through the channels muttering something along the lines of, 300 channels and the best thing on is TV Guide.

June sighed, relieved, when the televisions annoying blinking finally stopped, Thank God. There are like 500 channels. It shouldnt take you that long to pick one.

Ignoring his sister, Luke stared intently at the picture as the newscaster on the screen read from her paper, We also have the latest installment in what has over the past few years become most of our viewers favorite story. For the first time in a while, our favorite, infamous DarkLatios has made himself present yet again. The video about to be shown was initially given to the Lilycove, Hoenn and handed over to us only a few hours ago. The screen flashed to a low-quality video of what most of Hoenn, Kanto, and Johto would recognize as a Pokemon in human form.

Luke wasnt included in the few who didnt recognize him.

What are you watching? I thought you were anti-Pokemon or whatever, June said, curious.

Luke ignored the statement. Mostly, because he knew it was true. Though lack of interest in Pokemon had become quite common, especially in big commercial cities such as Celadon, Luke was extraordinarily ignorant as far as the subject went. And he didnt care much, either. He knew basic thingsPokemon evolve in stronger Pokemon, Professor Oak offers Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaurbut the general genre of learning just didnt offer anything that was, to him, worth merit. Nonetheless, he had been pulled into, without reason, the story of the strange, seemingly over-intelligent Pokemon who had been linked to the disappearance of several scientists and the wreck of many home movies.

Luke watched in loathing as the people holding the camera stood dumbfounded at their luck in sighting DarkLatios. If that were me I wouldnt just stand there like I was incapable of speech, Luke thought.

Well, Lu, while youre not listening, good luck with that trip to Cerulean tomorrow. It was boring as all getout.

ooo

This really sucks, Keith muttered.

Luke sighed at the truthfulness of his friends statement. His class was in the middle of their mandatory yearly trip to another city for their obligatory Pokemon class. This year, it was a tour of Cerulean City. At least all of the sisters were at the gym, Keith added. Luke sighed again, and Keith laughed.

The boys were shushed by their teachers and tour guides.

They arrived at the front of what was once the inventor Bills seaside house. It was now more of a haunted houserun-down and ominous-looking. The tour guide, a scrawny man by the name of Jim, went on for a while about what seemed to the class like nothing and then proceeded to lead them around the outside of the house. A tall, white, semi-translucent wall stretched all the way to a tall crag a few hundred yards down. This wall, the tour guide started, Is believed to be a Pokemon barrier. Though no one knows whats inside, there are urban legends of genius and legendary Pokemon living inside here. The guide then started to walk away, leaving the entire class standing there, appalled that the one thing that could just be remotely interesting had just been abandoned.

Okay, were ditching this now, Keith said quietly to Luke.

Luke nodded. He was usually tolerant of these little school trips (all of which were ridiculous) but the concept of the wall interested him.

The boys waited until they were behind everyone in the group before jumping the rickety fence the led into what used to be Bills backyard.

So what do you think it is? Keith asked, walking up to the wall.

I dont know. Its sorta unsettling. Super-powered genius Pokemon? Luke replied.

Yeah. And its perfectly solid good shield. Or force field. Keith put his hand up against it. He hit it, Yep.

Yeah Luke went to hit it. There was a strange gust, and Luke opened his eyes, staring at the ground. Hed fallen. Luke looked up. There were thick woods and huge trees everywhere; Pokemon were making noise up in the trees. He looked behind him. He had tumbled through the barrier when hed gone to hit it. His feet were still on the other side.

He stood up as quickly as he could, back on the Bills house side, breathing hard, That didnt just happen.

Are you kidding me? Keith said excitedly, Finally something interesting. What was there?

N-Nothing woods.

Well go see what else! Keith shoved his friend back through the barrier.

Luke stumbled forward into the forest. He didnt see anything odd. No super-powered-genius Pokemon. At that, nothing at all. Why go to such great lengths to hide this place? Luke turned around to go back, and instead stared into a face. Bright blue eyes blinked at him. He shouted in surprise and jumped back. A small pink catlike Pokemon floated up, giggling.

Hey! Are you okay? Keith shouted from the other side.

Im fine, Luke shouted back. Mew circled him a few times as he waited for his heart rate to return to normal. Okay. Found Pokemon. Can Leave, he thought nervously. The Mew started to stare at him, suddenly looking less playful. Yeah Ill just be on my way he said to it.

:NO!: it suddenly demanded.

He stared, Its talking to me? Im understanding it?

: Sorry, you looked so freaked out I had to scare you!: Mew said in a high giggly voice.

Thanks, Luke said sarcastically.

She giggled, :No problem!: A pause, :Soooo ya ready?: She looked at Luke expectantly. He continued to stare at her, unsure of both what she was talking about and what to say. After a full fifteen or so seconds of no reply, she said, :You mean she didnt tell you?:

You know what I think I will be on my way Luke started to edge toward the barrier.

:Oh, no you dont!: she said, getting in front of him, :Just because stupid Celebi doesnt do her job doesnt mean I pay for it!: The toured guides words flashed through Lukes mind again, Super-powered genius Pokemon

Luke! Quick! Theyre looking for us! Keith shouted.

Mew looked toward the wall, agitated.

Yeah, like I said! Later! Luke said hastily, running for the exit. He plowed into Keith on the other side.

Hide, quick! Keith commanded. They bolted inside the creaky house, both afraid it would collapse under their feet.

Okay you definitely saw something, Keith said quietly.

Ya think? Luke replied.

What happened??

Luke waited for the footsteps of his teachers and peers to be inaudible before he told Keith everything that had happened.

ooo

An hour or so had passed since anything could be heard outside. It seemed like an eternity to the boys, who sat playing cards on the floor.

One, two, three spit!

Okay, Im done, Luke threw his cards into the middle, What do we do? I mean its not like I can tell anyone what happened

Yeah maybe you should go back? It was a Mew how many people get to talk to one of those? he said.

I feel special, Luke said flatly.

She obviously wanted something from you.

She seemed bipolar.

What did she want? Luke thought, sighing. What was her Celebi supposed to have told him? If he left, would she be outside? He shuddered a bit, Legendary Pokemon freak me out

Alright, Luke announced suddenly, standing up, Im gonna go see if shes still there.

I commend you, soldier, Keith mocked.

Luke took a deep breath, stood up, and walked out the back doorright into the face of his teacher.

Luke stared, stunned for the thousandth time that day. Had she heard what he said? Did she know where he was going? He went slowly down the stairs leading to the yard.

What have you been doing? she demanded angrily.

Mrs. Greenesitting in the house Luke replied, feeling stupid.

Pat Greene circled around, standing between Luke and the house so that, in her mind, he would have nowhere to escape. Keith took this opportunity to look out the window. Were in trouble, he thought.

Mrs. Greene stepped forward and Luke backed up.

Are you crazy? the teacher asked, No one knew what happened to you! She continued to step forward.

Me neither, Luke said spontaneously. You idiot, he scolded himself. He continued to back up.

Excuse me? she almost shrieked. She was close to pinning him against the barrier. Luke looked downhe couldnt see the back of his foot. Oh crud, he thought.

I dont-- he stopped. He stared in horror as Mew floated down between the old house and his teacher, petite arms crossed, shaking her head.

You dont what? Lukes mentor demanded.

Dont uh He stumbled for words.

Mew snorted, agitated. :You dont have time for this!: she volunteered. Both Keith and Pat gawked, astonished, as Mew pulled Luke back through her force field, into the start of something Luke couldnt imagine.

Well, I hope I'm not a disgrace to your forum... ^_^ *eek*

What a heated response -_-. Oh well... at least I apparently did it correctly. Here is chapter numero dos.

2

POV: Omniscient

Luke stumbled into the guarded woods. He stared back at the misty white oddity, still in shock at what had just happened. Mew floated over next to him, seemingly waiting for him to collect himself. So! she said joyfully when he seemed to be back to normal, considering some--one didnt do her job, Ill do my best to brief you on what gonna happen here.

Luke stared at her, continually at a loss for words.

As you may know, Mew started, in Olivine area of Johto there have recently been many upset citizens do to what we Pokemon here at... this place... peg as unnecessary invasions by a certain Deoxys from a certain lab in a certain Mossdeep a certain number of years ago

Im not doing anything about it, just to let you know, Luke interrupted.

Dont get ahead of yourself, Mew scolded, then she continued her speech, Your mission, if you choose to not fight me in accepting in which case I will make it more complicated, is to find out exactly what is prompting Deoxys and company to stop kidnapping and injuring people and random Pokmon.

Can I get ahead of myself now? Luke said desperately.

Mew sighed, Look, it wont be anything too difficult... I mean, I could do it if I had the faintest inclination to....

Okay, so Im stuck with this because you dont want to be? And Im really the wrong person for this. Go find a stupid Pokmon trainer or something, Luke pleaded.

Mew snorted, Yeah what do you think would happen then? Pikachu, I choose you! Go kick butt even though I now you cant and just want to look good. Okay, Pokball! Let me pretend that you are alive when I tell you to go do something I know you cant! She went on and on, twirling around and laughing in a fake low-pitch honking laugh. Luke couldnt help smiling. It was a stereotype, but it was... well, true. Hed seen the shows, even some of the people whod pass through Celadon.

Thats why! Mew regained her solemn tone and posture, Thats why I dont want one of them. Now, someone who got back here then got all trainer-ish, okay maybe. But no. Not the next ten-year-old who walks by.

Luke nodded. He saw her point regarding trainers. But why him? But why me?!"

Mew shrugged, Because I said so. And I want you to. And you dont have much of a choice. I mean, I bet your mother person

That wasnt my mother! Luke shouted, appalled.

She can still hear you, you idiot! The thing isnt sound proof! Mew scolded. She floated stealthily above the barrier and looked over. Theyre still there, banging on my shield. She gave a little growl, talking to herself, Stupid, obnoxious people. Think they have the right to know everything. She floated back. Okay! Ya ready?

Luke didnt have the chance to protest more.

ooo

The room wasnt big at all. No, it definitely wasnt any larger than the average living room. On the northern end, there was a large computer that took up the center of the wall. A door lay to the left of it. Opposite that there was another door. Both were a metallic gray shade. On the two wings of the room were four cells, two on each side. They could easily have been jail cells. Metal bars set off who was inside from who was out. Pokmon and people were strewn about these cells. No, it definitely wasnt a large or complex room. But, sitting up, Luke had to wonder how he had gotten in it. Or, more specifically, in one of the cells. Even more specifically, into the only cell whose door seemed to be... unlocked.

Luke slowly got to his knees, crawling over the people and Pokmon around him. How had he gotten there? What was going on? Where was he? Questions rang through his head as he slowly slid the cell door to the side, shaking without much of a clue why. Mew. Right. She had tried to teleport them right outside of the base thing Deoxys was situated in. Then he woke up in this place. He couldnt make sense of it. Where was Mew? She wouldnt just ditch him. Then again, she was the one who didnt go in the first place because she didnt want to. Never mind. She would ditch him.

He crawled out of the cell and stood up, trying to calm himself down. He would have succeeded in the latter had the cell door not slammed shut behind him. He turned around and stared at it. It was locked. He panicked; he had the feeling that someone was watching him. Im not alone in here, he thought. He spun around only to have the feeling again that someone was watching him from behind.

Desperately trying to keep himself controlled, he trotted over to the oversized computer, his gait shaky. He kept looking over his shoulder. The computer opened to a standard Skylight XP opening, asking for username and password. Nothing odd there.

Luke turned around and took a deep breath. Hed have to just try a door and see what happened. He headed toward the door next to the computer and took another deep breath before going to open it.

Ping!

Luke jumped, his heart skipping a beat. A small pebble rolled across the floor from the direction of the other door, which had a scratch mark on its knob. Luke slowly and cautiously walked toward the door. Whoever was in that room with him had thrown that little pebble at the door. They had done it as he had gone to open the other door.

Coincidence?

Luke slowly opened the pebble door. It led into a dimly lit, cave-like hallway that wasnt much taller than the average person was, or even much taller than he. Luke slowly, at first, started to make his way down it. He still had the unnerving felling that he was being followed.

Okay, he said out loud, trying to trick himself into thinking that he had some control over the situation, my Stalker, you apparently have some idea of this place. My head hurts like heck... I dont know what happened, but Im on the verge of passing out here. Anyone who would kill me around here if I took a nap or something? Luke realized how ridiculous of an idea that was. But, as his head throbbed, he didnt feel like he had much of a choice.

Ping!

The high-pitched noise came from somewhere back. So its safe? Luke asked, sitting down, his head in his hands.

Ping!

Im taking that as a yes... he mumbled. He hoped that was what it was.

Alright! I'll update when I get a comment
