It's been awhile since i've done one of these, so let's fix that!

Username: Drackos_Flare
Partner Pokemon: Golduck
Challenge: Single
Game: Leaf Green

-Update-
And that's done.

The Journey
Spoiler:

I used editors to change Squirtle into Psyduck.

I had to grind to level 16 to learn Confusion to beat brock.

Golduck never learns Water moves until Lv.50, so Misty's TM was greatly appreciated.

Shortly after Misty, Rive Evolved!

And that's sorta it.

Rive Lv.85

Item: Quick Claw
Surf

After a bit of stress from other challenges, I could use a light-hearted Solo right about now... I love solos for that reason. It's so easy to pick up and enjoy!

Username: SonicZ16
Partner Pokemon: Manectric
Challenge: Single
Game: Sapphire

Update: All done! I went out of my way to replace specifically Torchic with Electrike, just so May would have a Marshtomp because I hate myself for added challenge. but wait I just said I wanted an easy challenge what

At least I got what I wanted in the end. It was super fun!

I have now finished my ultimate challenge with Rotom. So, a pretty large update.

Alpha Sapphire stuff:
Spoiler:

Mara (Rotom) @ Zap Plate/Spook Plate
Lvl. 64
Thunderbolt
Double Team
Shadow Ball
Dark Pulse

I switched between the zap and spook plates depending on which stab move I thought I would be using more often in the upcoming fights. Then moved onto Y.

Y final stuff:
Spoiler:

Mara (Rotom) @ Zap Plate/Spook Plate
Lvl. 71
Thunderbolt
Double Team
Shadow Ball
Uproar

Likewise with Y, I switched between the two plates. Then finally finished the challenge up with Soul Silver. This game was the hardest, mainly due to the Red fight. After a couple of tries, though, and some luck avoiding attacks, we made it through.

Final stuff:
Spoiler:

Mara (Rotom) @ No item
Lvl. 70
Discharge
Double Team
Shadow Ball
Dark Pulse

Challenge Details (Complete):
Spoiler:
Username: pawsjerm
Pokemon: Rotom

Games: Soul Silver, Alpha Sapphire, Platinum, Black 2, Y

I'm going to start a new challenge now as well.

Guess I'll do another, why not?

Username: SonicZ16
Pokemon: Braviary

Update: Done! It was a rough start, but once he could take stuff on his own, things became much better.

Bravewing Lv. 68
Holding:Expert Belt

Aerial Ace | Hone Claws
Shadow Claw | Crush Claw

I did not expect to keep Hone Claws on him for the whole game. He learned it at such a low level, I thought it would be a cool little setup move that might help me win early on. But then it saved my life again and again. Until I was using it (along with Crush Claw) to wipe out every important battle since.

A couple days have passed, and I've finished the run. Rattata powered through it all, with Normal-stab OHKO'ing the majority of opponents throughout the game. First Tackle, then Quick Attack, Hyper Fang, and lastly Return. Other moves are for coverage against normal-resists and ghosts, and Hyper Fang is still there for the PP.

The run was surprisingly easy, and I didn't even have to resort to Swagger in order to beat Red, like I had to in Soul Silver :P
Jasmine's Steelix was definitely the hardest opponent I faced, and that was also the only place where I had to grind to beat it.

Well, I finished my Bulbasaur Solo Run, I did however catch 3 HM Slaves, I hope that isn't too many or something. It's not like I trained them at all. Anyway, for proof, here's a video of me beating the Elite Four and Chamption!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuLh2fhrJ4A&feature=youtu.be

Now, I have a question, would it be alright if I did an Ivysaur solo run and set it as my starter using a randomizer? I plan on doing all 151 Pokemon in Red Blue and Yellow! (Also, I'll be doing them in sequential order, Like Bulbasaur is Red, Ivysaur is Blue, and Venasaur is Yellow, would that be okay?)

You may change your starter as you please, though I would recommend just starting with the basic evolution and evolving as you go. It makes it more fun and challenging IMO. Also you may do any of your challenges in any order and any game you want.

Also I suggest using the sign up form that's in the OP for all of your challenges. It will make things a lot easier for me when I update, which should hopefully be soon.

Hope that helps :]

I'll post updates when I make a dent in the game. Looking forward to the challenge :)

Managed to beat Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge so far. Using Pidgey hasn't been too bad, I'm sitting around level 39 going into rock tunnel. The toughest part so far was definitely Lt. Surge. I knew his Raichu had thunderbolt so I used my single x special that I found to tank a hit with only 2 hp lol. I used quick attack which brought him down below half (critical hit), he used growl because he's bad and then I finished him with another quick attack. Lots of luck there, but I'll take it :P

Hi ! I'm totally new here, and I'm very interested in doing an ultimate challenge. But, before that, I've got a question to ask :

What do I have to do to prove the fact I've done these games with only one pokemon from A to Z ? I saw some pictures above that show any chosen pokemon at the hall of fame, but I've got the feeling it's not really the ideal proof that the game was beaten with the said pokemon. Of course I'm not saying everyone above are liars, but I want to feel, as a perfectionist that all the runs I'll make are legitimately proven. :3c

Thank you in advance for answering me, I'm sorry for any mistake made, I'm french and my english isn't perfect ~_~

The picture at the hall of fame is really an ideal proof as there is no point in lying. You enter challenges for fun and the threads are a good way to keep track of progress :). People that lie about their challenges are only cheating themselves, as there are not really any actual benefits of completing challenges.

Though if you really want to prove that you used this one pokemon from start to finish, you could try taking a screenshot/photo each time you defeat a gym leader/league member (at the end of the battle). I think that's the best proof you could provide (other than record a video, but that feels like too much imo) :).

Well, thanks for the quick answer, I suppose you're right :) I was thinking about people who make their way through the game with a complete team, then storage it to take the solo-run pokemon, give it tons of rare candies then finish the E4 at level 100. But I must be kinda paranoid {XD} Anyway I guess I'll try to take a screenshot of all defeated gym leader/league member just as you said, sounds pretty much a good proof to me {:3}

Althrough there are still people who can smash a leader to the very end, then switch to the solo run pokemon and finish the job, after all, on the screenshot we don't see the number of pokemon in the party but nevermind, you said it all, there is no point in doing this as it would be cheating oneself ;)

Notes : I've watched some speed run videos, which provided great help before doing this run, so most of the time I was doing story, using VS Seeker and Lucky Egg to grind fast, in order to be able to defeat Gym Leaders without any harm, the E4 was tough (even though I used all the the rare candies I've gathered) but after a few tries I manage to beat it thanks to some critical hits (perhaps the only time I've gotten that much luck {XD})

Additional Note : Pictures are in French since it's my native language so I have a french copy of the game. Moreover, this time there isn't any picture of each Gym Leader/Member of the Elite Four beaten because it's somehow difficult for me to take the right shot at the right moment :( I can only say that the 2nd gym leader was painfull for my Cyndaquil, it took me a few tries to take all the gym down, and I definitely hate the Elite Four of Kalos... the first two member destroyed my Cyndaquil in a blink of eye countless times, I had to be smart more than I ever was ~_~o_O

Spoiler:

Now, the stats of my dear Shiny per games :

Spoiler:

Fire Red
Shiny, Rash, Blaze, LV.95
- Flamethrower
- Fire Blast
- Return
- Dig

Emerald
Shiny, Rash, Blaze, LV.83
- Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Return
- Toxic

Heart Gold
Shiny, Rash, Blaze, LV.96
- Flamethrower
- Eruption
- Toxic
- Protect

Platinum
Shiny, Rash, Blaze, LV.80
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power
- Eruption
- Dig

White
Shiny, Bold, Blaze, LV.88
- Flamethrower
- Protect
- Wild Charge
- Will-O-Wisp

Y
Shiny, Modest, Blaze, LV.98
- Flamethrower
- Eruption
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp

Final Note : Finally, it's over, it was quite an amazing experience, and I can say two things, first, I'm now bored of Cyndaquil for a lifetime, secondly, the one I hated the most to do was Y, despite the amazing 3D, it was way to slow to get to the credits, and one thing I hate about this game is the fact they hold you hand at every step you make... Well, I don't care because... it's over !!! (Nine thousand) {:3}

Could really use a plowthrough of Johto again rn. :3

Dangit mustve forgot I signed up for this, welp starting a little later but here we go!
Spoiler: Upsates!
Badge 1: Named myself Al cause I accidentally chose boy instead of girl and was too lazy to change it back, got Cyndaquil and contemplated lots of names including Hurry :') and settled with CLOUD. Like an explosion cloud. Took him all the way through to Cherrygrove and named my rival JB after my bf and continued to Violet. Beat Sprout Tower and Cloud evolved part way through. He easily beat Falkner after without any faints at all in the game so far.
Badge 2: Got the Egg from Prof Elm and since I didnt need to hatch it we left Violet City. Pushing our way through the next Route and Dark Cave, we picked ul the TM for Swift and went on. Once in Azalea and the Slowpoke Wells we ohkod all the grunts Pokemon and easily beat the admins Koffing. Gave Kurt the Wht Apricorn and went back to the Wells to catch a Slowpoke for later when we need a Surfer cause i really like slowpoke its so cuuute. Hurried see what i did there back to the Gym and set everything on fire victoriously. Bugsys Scyther actually managed to live but was killed with Swift on the second turn.
Badge 3: Immediatly beat JB and had trouble finding a Pokemon to learn Cut after getting the farfetchd. Appearantly Rattata cant learn it but Oddish can. Well I caught Dave the Rattata for Cut but since he cant learn it I guess Ill keep him for something else later. I was watching Gayle today, thats where his name came from... Caught an Oddish after looking it up on pokemondb to find out who could learn Cut and finally got through the forest, picking up Headbutt TM along the way. Trained on both sides of Goldenrod City since its currently nighttime and the guards would want to fight me before going into the Gym.I really do not like Whitney, so being almost 10 levels higher than her lead and 2/3 hkoing her Pokemon was fun.
Badge 4: Went into the park and got the TM for Dig which I finally decided to use on Cloud, and sped through the somewhat annoying Squirtbottle/Sudowoodo event. Togepi hatched too.~ Fought all the trainers and got to Ekruteak in time to fight all the trainers there. Dont I live an exciting life. Did the Tower stuff, and I have the music on this so Im starting to notice weird things, like 3 out of the 4 times Ive seen JB his music is just silent. Emo child? Like I said, did the Dance Studio/Surf HM fights and easily got rid lf Morty ohkoing everythig but one Gengar who fainted after one Dig and a Flame Wheel. Revenge is sweeeeeeet. And then Cloud evolved after we got the badge so yeah. :D
Badge 5: Rand through the Route to the left and fought all the trainers, ending up in Olivine City and meeting JB. The tower wasnt difficult though we lost all PP in Swift and Head utt at the top cause I forgot to heal first. XD Talked to Jasmine and taught Surf to Lucy finally. Went to Cianwood and fought Eusine before going into the Gym. Halfway through I got stuck cause I realized I forgot to grab Strength HM.....again. My biggest flaw when I play Johto is that stupid HM Strength... Took the Secretpotion and gave it to Jasmine and went back down to the cafe to get Srength and taught it to Lucy as well. Surfed back to Cianwood and easily beat the Gym in less than 5 moves. Though that Eusine battle earlier went a little bad at the end cause I kept trying to use Swift on a Haunter.... -_-;;;;
Badge 6: Surfed back to Olivevine and got lost, almost going into the Whirl Islands I think. Went back in to fight Jasmjne and easily ohkod her Magnemites, used Dig on Steelix and it barely did anything but Flame Wheel did much more after so 2 hits and were good.
Badge 7: Crashed through Ekruteak back to Mahogany Town. Caught Fesh the Red Gyarados because less HMs that Lucy has to learn plus shiny? Bought like 3 Ragecandybars out of curiousity to see if i could buy more than one and thats actually the only money that I believe I spent so far, over like 60,000P i think. Set Team Rockets base on fire and swiftly threw ninja stars at them gedditswiftstars. Easily wiped them out and went to the Gym. The trainers were a bit annoying with Protect and the stinking Dewgong/Seel line's resistance againgst Fire and high defenses. Against Pryce we still managed to win in under a minute but he gave us a little more of a fight than the rest.
Badge 8: We went through the Ice Path an- OH $&¥%#€@!!! Cloud caught Pokerus, the first time Ive ever gotten it in the wild! :'D I feel so blessed... I healed at the PC in Blackthorne and only say Nurse Joy say something about not being able to do anything more and freaked out before remembering about the virus. Sure enough every on the team has got it. :D Anyhow, went back to New Bark and caught a Pidgey mamed Drib for flying, went alllll the way back to Cianwood bc I forgot to get Fly -_-, went to Goldenrod and did the Rocket Tower event + fought the trainers in the Underground cause I always forget them. Beat Team Rockets out and saved the real mr president before flying back to blackthorne. Actually, that rival battle in the basement was a bit more challenging than the reat, thanks Silver/JB. And we also did the Suicune thing. The Gym trainers and puzzle were pretty easy this time and Clair was ohkod on the Dragonairs and Kingdra was flinched out for a 2hko. Ive never been more proud Cloud. Did the test in the Dragons Den and accidentally said Weak Pokemon, the opposite of what I accidentally clicked my last Crystal challenge. XD whoops. I did give Cloud the Amulet Coin but then thought the Pink Bow was a better choice plus its cute. Went back to New Bark Town...
POKEMONE LEAGUE DUN DUN DUHHHN...!: We talked to Elm for the Masterball and rushed through to Kanto and Victory Road. Easy enough, we had to fight JB again at the end which took more power than any other trainer so far. I applaud you Silver/JB. Went to buy Full Restores just in case, first time I bought anything other than Ragecandybars. I barely spent ang money the whole game and still didnt have enough for 99x Full Reatores... Then again Mom had half my money. I bought 50 for whatever reason and went in. Beat Will with ease, Koga was a since with Dig, Bruno was the easiest, had a slightly rockier time with Karen but pulled through fine. Used one heal after her and went in to fight Lance. His Gyarados fainted easily, then Aerodactyl gave some trouble but qwnt down in three hits. Used two more heals because of his Dragonites Thunder Waving and Hyper Beaming. In his last attack he locked into Outrage, allowing us the final Swift to beat his last Dragonite. He didnt even use any healing items at all, no e of them did. Went to Hall Of Fame.~ <3

Spoiler: Kanto Updates!
Lt Surge: Got the ticket form Elm and decorated my room with the Charmander and Clefairy dolls mom got me. Went to Olivevine and got on the ship. Beat everything possible on the ship and immediately went to the Gym when we landed in Vermillion City. Beat Surge with lots of Digs. His Double Teams did nothing on us.
Sabrina: Went up north with very few battles and fought Sabrina. Very easy.
Erika: No battles inbetween and also very easy to burn down their gym. Almost as fun as burning down Bugsy's Gym.
Misty: Went to Lavender Town with little problem and went to the Power Plant for the Radio Tower there. Headed to Cerulean to get the Machine Part and fight Misty. Gym was very easy too.
Janine: Immediately gave the Machine Part back and flew back to Lavender and explored around a bit. Appearantly I have forgotten the Radio Card.... So I sent to Fuscia first and then aim gunna Fly to the League and go back to get it. Get ready Drib... Anyhow went to beat Janine first, accidentally skipped two of her trainers again, and got the Badge with ease.~
Brock: Ran through Victory Road back to New Bark cause appearantly Abra man is no loner there and the SS Aqua or Tidal or whatever only goes on Wednsday... Got the Radio Card finally and went back to Vermillion. Beat the Snorlax before seeing it had Leftovers and I shoulda probably caught that. Went straight to Pewter and beat Brock, who actually threatened Cloud with his Omastar but still went down with some Digs. Cloud was in the Yellow for once, pretty hard battle for a moment there tbh.
Blaine: Ran down through and met Blue, found another Rare Candy on Cinnabar Island and used it since he was only a few exp into lvl 79. Surfed over tto the smaller island and beat Blaine pretty easily enough.
Blue: Flew back to Viridian City and healed, went into the Gym and fought Blue. Almost fainted a couple times actually, and had to use a Full Restore after his Rhydon and Gyarados teamed up with Sandstorm/Earthquake and Hydro Pump. Barely won but we still made it! Going to Prof and Mt Silver...

Spoiler: *hums Red's battle theme*
RED: We traveled to Mt Moon and fought Silver/JB in his precious form™ and then back to Mt Silver itself to find Red. Desposited everyone but Cloud and used a walkthrough to get through the Flash part and found Red finally. The thing is... We still lost to Red twice. Both times to his Blastoise. The only trainer to ever beat us in that game. The third time we ended up using 7 or more Full Restores in the whole battle, and finally Blastoise went down and we used the Dire Hit we found in Kanto. Everyone else on Red's team fainted a little easier. Pics are added below, we did it. Good job, Cloud.

Challenge: Ultimate
Game(s): Platinum (8/8 complete), Soul Silver(0/16 - in progress), Black, X, Alpha Sapphire, eventually Sun

Because the majority of games (read: all) either have Glaceon completely unobtainable in them or have the Icy Rock near the end of the game, my partner will be a Glaceon from the very beginning.

Beginning Platinum:

Nymph the Modest Glaceon Lv. 6 (because I forgot to Pokegen Glaceon in before I fought Barry, woops)

Fake Tears
Tackle
Psychic Hidden Power (because I don't hate myself enough to deal with Tackle for a rock type gym...)

HM Slaves:
Piplup (Surf, Waterfall)
Starly (Fly, Defog)
Bibarel (Rock Smash, Cut, Strength, Rock Climb)

I didn't think to document my progress throughout my gym battles, so the pictures and comments I have is only from the E4 + Champion battles. The gyms were all incredibly easy for the most part and I didn't faint even once on my journey pre-E4 (afterward, not so much). Hope my pain is entertaining, lol :P

Elite 4 + Champion Journey:
Spoiler:
So I decided to become the Champion using only my Glaceon and not bringing any HM slaves to revive off of. Let’s see how much I regret my decisions. Here we goooooooooo….

Aaron:
Nymph the Glaceon Lv. 67 Razor Claw
Blizzard
Water Pulse
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam

Here’s to hoping we get a crit on Scizor with Water Pulse… I’m not looking forward to Flint. I stocked up on a bunch of battle items, so let’s hope everything goes well.
Right from the beginning, I used an X Special. Aaron U-turned into Scizor. Great. Wanted to use a Dire Hit before it came out too… Noooooo, his Scizor didn’t die to one Water Pulse :( We both healed, and I managed to take him out the second time, yay! Yay for out-speeding it. Up next is Heracross. We Ice Beam him, and it goes down in one shot. Perfect. Was hoping it wouldn’t have Brick Break or something. Vespiquen’s out next, and it has Pressure. Good thing I have some extra Blizzard TMs. Here’s to hoping Blizzard hits. YAY! It did, and Vespiquen is down and out without even touching me. Good, good. Yanmega comes out again, and I go for an Ice Beam. Bye, Yanmega. Crit hit to rub salt into the wound, LOL. Last one out is Drapion. Let’s go. Drapion’s faster and gets in a Cross Poison, but the Blizzard luck is with me again and he falls to one Blizzard. Yay! There goes Aaron.

Bertha:
Nymph the Glaceon Lv. 68 Wide Lens Deaths: 0
Blizzard
Water Pulse
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam

I’m kind of concerned about Bertha in a way because if I’m outsped they could do some serious damage on me… I think I’d be able to take it because Nymph’s defense is pretty good, but still. Let’s just hope we can land Blizzard on Whiscash and take it down one turn. (Fruitless hope, I know.) I’m tempted to use an X Defend on it, hmm… So I used an X Defend and she freaking uses Sandstorm. Well okay but ugh lol. Blizzard hit second round, and I’m apparently faster. Whiscash is down in one hit and I took neglible damage. Good. Up next is Golem. Water Pulse, byeeeee. I’m actually glad that I’m level 68, lol. I remember playing Pearl and being like level 58 going into the E4. Maybe Flint will actually be easier? Anyway, out comes Rhyperior. Spam Water Pulse all dayyyyyy! Man this thing is tanky, look how slow that bar goes down LOL. It still went down in one hit, though. NEXT. Gliscor. Ice Beam, whee! Bye, Gliscor. Lol, I might get out here without taking any damage from Bertha except for Sandstorm. I leveled up to 69 here and Hippowdon is sent out. You might want to stop eating the sand, I think that’s bad for you. Another Water Pulse later, and Hippowdown is still here, crap. Good thing I used that X Defend, that took out like half my health, LOL. Naturally, we both heal. I use Water Pulse again and I get the confusion on Hippowdon, yay. I swear this thing has like 10 HP left, just die already. I use a Shadow Ball to finish it off. There goes Bertha!

Flint:
Nymph the Glaceon Lv. 69 Razor Claw Deaths: 0
Hail
Water Pulse
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam

If I’m going to die, this is probably the battle that I’ll die on. I just hope we can get rid of his Infernape quickly. Hope I outspeed everyone and one-shot everything. Should I risk using an X Sp. Def the first round? :( I decide to go for Hail and hope that Infernape can’t hit me, lol. Kind of hoping the increased evasion in a hailstorm will work out for me here. Oh, it’s hit Houndoor first. Crap. X Sp. Def first and hope it can’t one-shot, lol. The Sunny Day proc, oh boy. Am I faster so I can proc Hail? Yes, yes I am. Good. HIS FLAMETHROWER MISSED, HA! Anyway, I use Water Pulse and Houndoom is gone. I should be good to go for the rest of the battle if I manage to keep Hail on the field. Out next is his Flareon. Water Pulse all day, every day. That Flareon didn’t die, but it missed its Overheat, so all’s good here. I’m just waiting for him to proc Sunny Day again, tbh lol. He uses a Full Restore, I use another Water Pulse. Still not dead. I go for a Shadow Ball to finish the thing off. Bye bye, Flareon. Have a crit to rub salt in the wound. My hail stopped and out comes Rapidash, oh boy. I decide to use Water Pulse on it because it one-shots and I expected him to use Sunny Day. Here’s Infernape, sending out an X Defend for this guy. Maybe he’ll proc Sunny Day here so I can follow up with Hail. He uses Flare Blitz and takes out like 60 HP, meh. This Infernape is faster than me, oh crap. I one-shot the guy with Water Pulse, but now I’m down to 75 HP and out comes Magmortar. I heal up first. This guy uses Flamethrower and takes out like 90 HP, oh boy. Please don’t kill me while I set up Hail, please. I’m faster than this, thank god lol. And oh crap this guy is going for a Solar Beam. Quick, kill it lol. Didn’t get a one-shot, oh boyyyyy. Good thing we had Hail because he missed. Glad I decided to bring Hail in here, it has helped me ten-fold. Anyway, Magmortar eats another Water Pulse and faints. Yippie, I didn’t die on Flint like 8 times! I also leveled to level 70 :D ..I have like 6 PP left on Water Pulse, LOL.

Lucian
Nymph the Glaceon Lv. 70 ? Deaths: 0
Hail
Water Pulse
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam

I’m unsure of what I want to do here. I can’t decide if I’m going to use my previous strategy of Hail evasion, or if I’m going to bring in Wide Lens and Blizzard. Hmm. Let’s try my previous strategy first. I have a feeling this guy is going to put up a Light Screen. Maybe I’ll be faster than everything and one-shot lol. Mr. Mime is out first. Let’s see what Shadow Ball can do. I would use an X Sp. Def, but I’m worried he’ll use Light Screen. Shadow Ball completely wrecked Mr. Mime, lol. Here’s Bronzong, so I better set up some Hail because this guy is tanky. Oh god, Calm Mind, NO! Why do I have a feeling we’re going to have to Hail stall this guy, dear god. I use an X Special. He Calm Mind’s again. I’ll go ahead and use a Dire Hit and maybe we’ll score a few crits. I completely forgot that Calm Mind increases Sp. Atk too oh boy, he only did 70 HP with Psychic though. Please die, lol. I use Shadow Ball. DANG one shot with that +1 Sp. Atk crit xD All according to plan. Shadow Ball spam time. Bye, Gallade. Yet another crit, too. My hail stopped for Alakazam to be sent out. Oh god it’s faster, noooooooooo. OH MY GOD MY SP. DEF fell and I’m at 36 HP LOL. Bye, Alakazam. Please don’t let your Espeon destroy me, I’ll cry. I go for the Full Restore and pray that this thing doesn’t have something good up its sleeves. It used Signal Beam, so good. 40 HP down. It’s faster and got a Psychic off, but I hold on with 81 HP and Espeon is vanquished with a Shadow Ball. Bye bye, Lucian! Now all that’s left is Cynthia. With any luck, we’ll be able to beat the game without a single death and only using 1 Pokemon throughout the entire E4 battle.

Champion Cynthia:

Final stats:
Nymph the Glaceon Lv. 71 Wide Lens Total Deaths: 3
Blizzard
Water Pulse
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam

Attempt 1:
If I didn’t have to worry about her Lucario, I would go right ahead and just switch Water Pulse for Blizzard. I was going to switch out Hail for Blizzard, but I walked into the room and I was thrown into Battle. Great. Hope I get some misses out of Hail, then. This Spiritomb hits hard, geez. I heal up with a Full Restore and she uses Shadow Ball again. Thought she would have healed, but no. There goes Spiritomb and my PP on Shadow Ball is low. CRAP here comes her Lucario, I was hoping to have an X Defend up before it. Uggghhh. It’ll know Swords Dance, won’t it. (It didn't, lol) Double uggghhh. I’m faster and manage to get a Water Pulse in, but naturally it doesn’t one shot. Holy crap though Aura Sphere does a ton. Ugh what do I doooooooooooooooo…… He does well over 100 dmg with Aura Sphere. Does this game have AI PP? Ugh it has 20 PP, I didn’t come prepared for this. I’m going to lose to this Lucario, god dang it. Pray Ice Beam kills it? Lol NO it did down to like 2 HP, are you kidding me. Rip Nymph.

Attempt 2:
Well, take two. Now that I actually have Blizzard, let’s see if I can manage to take out Lucario, lol. What irritates me about that battle is that I could have gotten out of here with no deaths if it didn’t automatically throw me into battle. (Me from future: Nope, you still would’ve died.) Good thing I saved after Lucian. NOW… let’s try this again. First we’re going to use an X Sp. Def and pray that Spiritomb won’t decrease it. I decide to use 2 of them, lol. Now Spiritomb is hitting worth nothing, so good. Ugh, it decreased my Sp. Def once, gotta use another one, lol.. I go ahead and heal up before taking it out with a second Shadow Ball. NEXT. Out comes Lucario again. THIS TIME I’M PREPARED FOR YOU, BUDDY. Maybe not, he used Stone Edge instead. LOL. I pray that Blizzard will take him out. I can’t decide whether or I should PP stall out Stone Edge or pray Blizzard takes him out….. I’ll try to PP stall. Please don’t get a crit. He uses Stone Edge again, but it does only like 65 HP, huh. I use Blizzard and Lucario is down. I also reach level 71. Time to use some X Defends. Togekiss goes for an Aura Sphere. I heal up again and go for another X Defend afterward. OH MY GOD SHE GOT A CRIT AND ONE-HIT KO’ed me, NO! That is so garbage, are you kidding me. I guess I have to like increase all of my defenses to max on her Spiritomb then, smh. Seriously.

Attempt 3:
TAKE 3. Third time’s the charm, right? God lol. I’ll even use a Dire Hit too just for good measure. Knew I shouldn’t have trusted that Togekiss, but dang, lol. I can’t imagine where I’d be without these battle items. I normally never use them, but jeez. I used 6 X Defends, and 6 x Sp. Def, but I got 1 Sp. Def reduction so I used one more. I hit Spiritomb with one Shadow Ball, heal up, then take it out. BYE. Now that I maxed out my Defenses, let’s see if I can actually win, god. Hi again, Lucario. Water Pulse confuses it but it still gets in a Stone Edge. It did like 40 HP, lol. I tried to Blizzard, but it missed and he goes for an Aura Sphere. Didn’t do much because of my defenses. I go for another Blizzard and he actually falls this time. Level 71. Out comes that stupid Togekiss that ruined my day earlier. *primal growl* I’m gon’ get you, you lil’ bugger. I use Ice Beam right off the bat this time like a smart person, and it dies in one hit. Bye, Felicia!~ Here’s Garchomp. Watch it get a crit and somehow 1-hit KO me even with maxed out Defense, LOL. I go for a Blizzard, it goes for a Dragon Rush that does like 10 damage. XD Blizzard hits and Garchomp is down in one hit. She has 2 pokemon left now, and out comes Milotic. Shadow Ball. Oh my god what is this thing’s defense and it Mirror Coats me, which kills me. Are you kidding me. -_- If I would’ve known that it would use that, I’d wheedle it down with Water Pulse >:( Ugggggggggh here we go again. Wish I had Disable. Out of all things, I did not expect that Milotic to use Mirror Coat. Now I kind of wish that I still had Hail. Too late, though.

Attempt 4:
This time, I decide to max out my Sp. Atk too. Maybe I’ll be able to one-shot Milotic that way? So I have max defenses, attack, and an increased crit ratio. Let’s go. I’m scared of Milotic because if I don’t one-shot it and it uses Mirror Coat, I’m screwed. I hope that I can trick it into not using it. How did Garchomp outspeed me this time? I guess we tie in speed then. Whatever, it used Earthquake, did like 20 HP, and I one-shotted with Ice Beam. Here is the bane of my existence. I healed, it tried to use Mirror Coat and failed. Here goes Blizzard. Hope it works. Please die or don’t use Mirror Coat. OH THANK GOD it one-shot. YES. Victory is so close I can’t even. All she has is Roserade now. A nice Blizzard from me and victory is finally mine. YAY! Take that Cynthia, god!

We became the champion, and by miracle, our play time came to exactly 10 hours. Weird.

Final Sinnoh thoughts:
Spoiler:
Gen 4, specifically the Sinnoh games, have always been my favorite because of many reasons. The story, the music, debatably one of the best villain leaders in the franchise, debatably the best Pokemon designs, my favorite Pokemon was introduced in these games (I wonder what it is ;) ), by far the hardest Champion, and the main character designs don’t look like they have a white sack on their heads (-cough- Brendan). Barry is also my second-favorite rival, second only to the lovable goof Brendan in ORAS. I had never played Platinum before, having only played Pearl, which was also my first Pokemon game. I decided to go for it, as I heard good things about it expanding upon Diamond and Pearl considerably, and good god, they were right. I felt like Cyrus’s character was much more fleshed-out and well-developed in this game compared to the previous, and I was wanting more.

When I first read the book in the Canalave library about the Pokemon that will strip you of emotions within three days of coming into contact with it, I kind of thought that that was what happened to Cyrus. I realized later that it wasn’t that he didn’t have emotions, he just hated having them. *shrugs* Would’ve been cool if that’s what happened in his childhood, like he befriends Mesprit and loses his emotions and thus wants everyone else to feel the nothingness like him. Darn.

I absolutely loved Platinum, and it is now by far my favorite Pokemon game. Makes me wonder for what reasons in particular people curse gen 4 as the worst Pokemon generation, and DPPt as the worst games, lol. (If anything, that’s XY.)

I’ve never played the gen 5 games before, but I heard they had the best story, so I’m looking forward to that. Before then, though, it’s on to Soul Silver. I'll post my pictures from Platinum in one of my later update posts.

So, a good friend of mine that works at my local Walmart let me buy Sun and Moon today (with permission from his boss, whom is also a good acquaintance), so I have it now instead of having to wait until the 23rd or whatever the EU date was.

I've gotten far enough to get Dewpider in Moon, so I'm going to breed and trade a Dewpider to Sun and do a solo with him.

Hey everyone, important announcement regarding Pokemon Sun and Moon!

With the release of Pokemon Sun & Moon we now have a new region to solo through, and so, some of the rules of the Solo Challenge will need to be updated. I'll eventually get around to doing an in-depth update in the OP but until then here's a little summary of what's going to change:

- All ultimate solo challenges will be required to contain a game from Generation VII (Sun/Moon) even if the challenge was signed up for before the date stated below. That means that anyone that wants to play an ultimate challenge but is unable to/doesn't want to play through Generation VII must completely their ultimate challenge before than to qualify for the Generation VI Ultimate Champion List.
- Pokemon from Generations I to III, Bulbasaur to Deoxys, are available in all regions and so they are required to play through all regions in order to be eligible for ultimate challenges.
- Pokemon from Generation IV, Turtwig to Arceus, are now usable is six regions meaning they are now required to play through all six of these regions to be considered for ultimate challenges. The six regions (games) these Pokemon will be required to play through are as follows: Generation II (Heart Gold/Soul Silver). Generation III (Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire), Generation IV (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum), Generation V (Black/White/2), Generation VI (X/Y), and Generation VII (Sun/Moon).
- Pokemon from Generation V, Victini to Genesect, are now eligible for Ultimate Solo Challenges! These Pokemon are now available to be used in four generations as is the minimum requirement for ultimate challenges and hence they are now usable. The four regions (games) these Pokemon will be required to play through are as follows: Generation III (Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire), Generation V (Black/White/2), Generation VI (X/Y), and Generation VII (Sun/Moon).
- Pokemon from Generations VI and VII are ineligible for ultimate challenges but may be used for single challenges.

All these changes will come into full effect as of January 1st, 2017, until then all these rules are optional so long as the challenges are completed before this date. Any challenge completed after this date are required to abide by these rules.

Thanks everyone! Enjoy your challenges, as well as Sun and Moon! :D
