I decided to make a team and i'm starting to train my salamence but it has a mild nature when I want modest and also its bes Iv is on HP so I don't know if I should start over or just train it. How do you train, do you get your pokemon an exp share and max its evs and then train in the the elite four? I'm really confused

I would personally just level the Salamence, if would take you ages to acquire one that is of a different nature.
As for how you train.. you just work your way through the game, man. If you've already completed the game (e.g gyms etc.), then battle the trainers you can return to. You will also have to fight a lot of wild Pokemon.

Oh, I'm gonna guess you're new to pokemon training, as I am new to this forum (kinda xD)

Getting a different nature isn't that hard, you just need to go ditto hunting first for a bit. Try to get a ditto of every nature. Then give that ditto an everstone and breed with your Salamence(which you can't use in competitive play no more since it's uber according to smogon) and you have a 50% chance of salamence having dittos nature. As for IV's, they don't really matter that much(for a salamence anyways), so don't worry about it.

As for EV training, don't bother with EXP share. Give it the item it needs to raise up it's EV's. Put him in the front, go into a battle with your target pokemon, and switch out to a higher level pokemon and kill it off. After you've gained all 510 EV's(you have to keep count), use the same method on the elite 4 to level up.

I'm pretty sure you'll find the Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions a lot more helpful in the Strategies & Movesets forum. Seeing as you don't have a full team as yet and are just focusing on your Salamence at the moment, then that'll be the best place to ask your question right now.
