UPDATE tommorrow night
West, on a plane bound west
I see her stretching out below
Land, blessed mother land
The place where I was born

Scars, she’s got her scars
Sometimes it starts to worry me
Cause lose, I don’t want to lose
Sight of who we are

From the mountains high
To the wave-crashed coast
There’s a way to find
Better days I know

It’s been a long hard ride
Got a ways to go
This is still the place
That we all call home

I'll do this challenge again on Silver.

Update #1:
Spoiler:
I started off my challenge by selecting a Cyndaquil from Professor Elm. The Cyndaquil was named Boitumelo and together we set out on a journey to visit one Mr. Pokemon. Boitumelo had a few close encounters with the venomous Weedle, but in the end it survived the journey and we returned safely to Professor Elm’s lab. After receiving some pokeballs ‘Melo and I set off to Route 46 where we saw and captured a Level 2 Spearow named Furaha. With new dreams ahead Furaha was eager to grow, but sadly in it’s first fight, a critical hit from a Sentret killed Furaha mid-flight. Putting the past behind us, Boitumelo and I continued on until we reached a cave. Within the cave we caught a Geodude named Efua who would soon become the next member of our team. Upon exit of the cave we encountered a Pidgey named Mbali who would become the third member of our team and with that ‘Melo and I were off to Violet City and our first badge. Unfortunately, training proved to be tough and Efua was not able to survive, but Mbali was able to push through and became stronger than ever. Together we got through Sprout Tower, while capturing a Level 5 Rattata named Xenia.

I don't really find that userbar appropriate. A big part of Nuzlocke is about using Pokemon you otherwise woudn't use, and while Rayquaza would fit into that category for me, it's not that way for many others. Anyways, Rayquaza has pretty much nothing to do with Nuzlocke.
My (obvious) suggestion: Nuzleaf. With John Locke's face if manageable.

Don't take this as distructive criticism, let's just call it an advice. Because putting effort in creating such an userbar is already praiseworthy, even if it doesn't quite fit the topic.

(Will do more for Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Isshu later)

Ranks-

Derp Rank-Horrible, and only useful as a slave
Average Rank-Not Bad, not great either
Offensive/Defensive Specialists-Great in their respective stats, probably bad in the others, and only useful in certain situations. Not really ranked above or below anything.
Prestige Rank-Good all around
Bros-Nuzlocke Necessities

Derps-
Spoiler:

-Extremely Vendor Trash and weak, makes a good HM SLAVE :)
-Horrible Typing, Crappy moveset and vendor trash puts it in Derp

-Meek, Week and big weakness to fire (goes for all cloaks)
-VENDAR TRASH, BAD MOVESET

-SEE BEAUTIFLY^

- There are around 3-5 Electric Types better than Pachirisu in the DPPt
games.
-Its stats are Derp Quality
-Rare and Weak, oh boy!

-See Chimecho^

-Probably one of the worst Pokemon in Sinnoh that is evolved to its full potential.

-So much Derp in one Pokemon

-Too Rare, not too great at battling either.

Average Tier
Spoiler:

-Pretty Good, but its not Great.

-Semi-Rare crappy moveset
-Not the best stats, moveset is average
-Some stats are good, others are severly lacking

Attacking and Speed specialist

-Good Attacker on both Attacking categories.

-SpAtk Behemoth, other stats are bit lacking, speed is its downfall. Great Abilities.

-Good Attacker, balanced but not great.

Defensive Specialists
Spoiler:

-EXTREME DEFENSE SKILLS
-Can take a ton of hits, but can't attack to save its life.

-Great Defenses, wins by status problems.

-HP and SpDef are really good its other stats are uberderp quality...
-Foresight/Fighting or Critical is the only way to get a X2 hit on it and its Def and SpDef are quite nice. Great to use as a Death Trap.

-Good Defenses, other stats are pretty bad.

-Mostly defensive, though its Atk stat is quite nice

Prestige Tier

Spoiler:

-Easy to obtain and VERY useful

-Easy to get, good choice of moves.

-Easier to get than Dusknoir, great Ghost-Type to have
-A good Pokemon overall
-Good Stats, and Flamethrower ^_^
-Decent Stats, good fire type and easy to get.
-Stats and moveset are adequate.

-Raep Tank MKII
-Balanced stats, BEAUTIFUL typing, good movepool and the best psychic type in the game imo. Easy to use in many strategies.

-100% chance of obtaining, good stats and movepool.

-Good Stats and its type give it the ability to take down almost all of its weaknesses using a STAB move.
-Good stats great swords dance sweeper. I know this from personal experience :)

I think Bronzong should be bro tier, I used one of them once in a Pearl Nuzlocke that I never finished because it was on a cartridge I don't have anymore, and it was totally awesome. It just wouldn't die (esp. since Fire attacks are so rare), but still packed QUITE a punch with Extrasensory. Brozong is pretty much the only defense specialist without a major glaring weakness.

I also disagree on Infernape (dies too fast) and Clefable (it has a HUGE movepool, two good abilities and decent enough stats), but I'm ok with most of the rest.

..mind if I try to create Kanto (gen 1, since gen 3 plays differently) tiers? I'll probably get a few wrong as well, but this looks like a fun thing to do.

Well tbh I haven't played with every single one of the Pokes so its a rough assumption, I'm sure I'd have an appreciation for kaiser's noobs if I have used them.
and @mondays suck, Sometimes specilalists are even more useful as bro tier and I'd like to see your Kanto tiers, I'm doing Johto Next :)

Alright, here's my attempt at a Kanto tier list. I'm unsure about some (for example: Aero, Ninetales or Slowbro) and probably got a lot of things wrong and people will disagree, but an attempt is an attempt.

Now with 150% more repetitive commentary and typos.

Also note that I excluded trade evolutions since most people don't do them (at least that's what I'm assuming).

Derp Tier
Spoiler:

As much as I love Beedrill, it has bad stats, and a - apart from Twinneedle of course - bad movepool.
Average stats, but very bad movepool.
An early powerhouse with Hyper Fang, but easily outclassed by most stuff later on.
A worse Clefable.
Awful. Just awful.
With that typing, Parasect is not going to get far.
Very fragile, and a bad movepool.
Dux is certainly cool, but not good.
81741941 defense? So what? It sucks anyways.
Fragile, bad movepool.
Totally outclassed by its brother. Elemental Punches abuse? Not with that awful Special stat.
Decent movepool, but awful stats, and only obtainable by trading for the far superior Slowbro. Notable for being a good slave though.
Rare, pretty bad stats, bad movepool.
Fµck Yeah? More like Fu
Spoiler:
Сk no.
Obviously
Very good offensive stats, but one of the worst movepools in the game and very bad defenses.

Average tier
Spoiler:

Fast, good special stat, Sleep Powder, Psychic moves. Derp bug? I think not.
Good for some Wrap fun
Decent offensive stats, but very weak movepool
Very good movepool, and better stats to abuse it than Wigglytuff.
Pretty generic fire type with unvariated movepool, but notable for early Flamethrower and being one of the best Wrap variation abusers.
Generic water type. The access to Psychic moves is nice, but the real Water/Psychics outclass it.
Another generic fire type, similar to Ninetales except that its worse.
Slow, common weaknesses, no good Fighting moves, but powerful physical stats.
Early on a beast, Graveler has severe problems with its typing. A good thing however is learning Earthquake by level up.
Yet another generic Fire type.
Nowhere near being the beast is will become in later generations. Magneton here is just an average electric type with an awful moveset.
Like Magneton, a lot weaker than it will become later on.
Another water type that is not really notable, except for maybe Crabhammer, which can be quite beastly but is not really supported by Kingler's physically-orientated stats. Also, Kingler makes a good slave.
Inferior to Sandslash in almost all ways, but still worthwhile using.
Like some many in this tier: Decent stats, bad movepool. Also very unlikely to get, probably even more than DPPT Snorlax
Generic water type.
Could be in a higher tier, but I think Kadabra outclasses it.
Only gets normal-type moves, but is notable for easy access to Swords Dance.
The bulkiest of the bugs, but not really that good yet.
Not-so-very-nice stats, but access to Psychic and Elemental attacks and recover.

Offensive tier
Spoiler:

Just two words: Drill Peck. One of the best attacks in the game in my opinion, and Fearow is easy to access and gets it pretty early.
Its Slash and Earthquake will seriously hurt, but it can't take hits. Very close to lower tiers.
The best crit-abuser in the game. 210-power-Slash is nothing to laugh at, even from these mediocre stats.
The best typing in the game, monstrous Special and Speed stats. Close to bro tier, but it somewhat lacks in move variety.
A better Fearow with the problem that you get it much later.
This thing gets the only good Fighting type moves in the game. And it has the stats to abuse them. While Fighting is one of the worst typings in this generation, it still has its uses, like the otherwise so painful Lorelei.
The two best offensive typings in the game, and the stats to abuse them. Too frail and hard to obtain for bro tier though.
An Electric type that can actually do more than just spam Electric and Normal moves and be screwed against good ground types! This thing has access to Psychic.
Like Electabuzz, except that it's a fire type. Unfortunately it lacks Fire Spin.
Notable for getting Pin Missile, making this the only Pokemon besides Parasect that is not weak to Psychic and can hit Psychic types super-effective.
An offensive monster. While somewhat lacking in move variety, it still is powerful enough to get into this tier.

Defensive tier
Spoiler:

Spoiler:
Very good defenses, access to status, but lacking in offense.
Probably belongs even in a higher tier, since it gets Amnesia. But defensive was so empty...
Awesome defense, good Special. The typing is more of an offensive one, but overall it all plays well together.
Remember those things that you couldn't kill easily and that then selfdestructed on you? Get one and do the same. Except for the second part.
A better Graveler in terms of stats. You have to watch out when using this thing though.
Everone knows Blissey, and this isn't much different, except for the ability to actually hurt stuff since it's Special here is what would later become its Special Defense. The bad thing is, you're not going to get one of these. Never.

Prestige tier
Spoiler:

Availiable early, powerful typing (keep in mind that by far the highest percentage of Pokemon you're going to fight are poison types), early Slash
Spoiler:
, decent stats. Certainly over-average, even if it will require TMs for Ground-type moves.
A Butterfree with better stats, a better typing and access to Psychic by level up. One of the best statusers in the game.
Good typing, access to Amnesia and a good range of moves, Hypnosis...
Status, Wrap and crit abuse with Razor Leaf.
Good offensive typing, balanced stats, Ice Beam by level up.
Overpowered typing, balanced stats and Hypnosis.
Stats are wonderful, movepool is ok. The downside is that you're not getting any of these things, just like Kangaskhan and Chansey.
Good typing and Slash, but lacking in Special where most of its movepool lies.
Powerful? Certainly. But will all the painful grinding be worth it? You decide.

Bro tier
Spoiler:

Leech, Seed, Sleep Powder and Razor Leaf. While the poison typing isn't really helping, Venusaur is still a complete beast.
Very good offensive spectrum, also a good Fire Spin spammer.
Good movepool, good defenses, not really lacking on offensive power as well.
Spoiler:
The Nidos can learn pretty much anything that's worth learning, while still having very good stats, unlike, say, Clefable.
Has a monstrous special, all other stats are at least good, and it gets Wrap.
Keep this away from Psychics and it will kill everything. Similar stats to Kadabra, but a better defensive typing and superior movepool.
This thing has it all: Leech Seed, Status, Psychic... Heavily underappreciated.
Gyarados is Gyarados. No need to say more, everyone knows this bamf.
Like Dewgong, except that its superior in almost everything.
Decent typing, insanely good stats and an ok moveset.
Can learn almost anything, is a monster stat-wise and even gets Amnesia.

Oh goddammit, spoiler splitting. Now my day is ruined.

And yes, this is a pretty hard thing to do, while I have used all of them at some point, I certainly didn't use them enough to really know all their strengths and weaknesses.

Alright guys, I think I finally got a HG rom working. You know what that means? Right, I start a Nuzlocke run on it. Yeah, I know I still have that Ruby one going, but it's not like I won't continue it.

...I am a terrible person, aren't I?

Spoiler:

So, I picked Cyndaquil named Aldod (as always, names are generator'd) because I rarely do that, and almost managed to get through the first route without encontounters, but only almost.
So I arrived in Cherrygrove and...

As if I haven't been knowing that in the last 10 years...

This made things a lot better, with the perma running shoes and a high frameskip rate I could actually play at a somewhat decent speed.

I somehow managed not to get poisoned by Spinaraks. Somehow. Anyways, I then beat the rival with ease.

I hate tuturials in Pokemon.

I bit later, I caught Renalhon the Rattata on route 46. I did some grinding and...

Suddenly Cherrygrove city didn't quite look like Cherrygrove city anymore.

I did manage to enter the Pokemon center though...just to have the game crash at exactly this point. So I was wrong, this doesn't permanently work as well.
Spoiler:
Screw this, back to Ruby.

So, disregard everything in this post. Except for the fact that I am a terrible person.

Also, damned spoiler splitting, even though it's not as bad as it could be in this post.

Well, I started my SGX challenge.

I did all the Mr. Pokemon stuff and battled Silver. Carlos is just...ARGH! I had to restart about 5 times...

Anyway, I must be lucky because, no joke, I found a Dunsparce, caught it, and it was the ability I would want. But then, I lost Chikorita...darn you Rattata.

@Mondays suck, Pidgeot is pretty underrated, although its vendor trash, its quite useful.

Aaaaaanyywaaaay....

Gen 2 Johto Tiers FTW.

Derp Tier
Spoiler:

-Vendor trash, movepool is sh!t
-It can't even learn a bug move by level up....
-Better than ledian, but still crap and learns no STAB moves without TM.
-Not great stats, movepool is good.
-RARE AND DERP ^_^
-no reason on earth to use one
-Good thing this got an evo in gen 4, it is quite terrible.
-Sort of rare, derpish stats.
-NO BUG TYPE MOVES...
-Too rare, movepool is derp. Nice typing though
-The only unowns you need are D, E , R , and P.
-Not a very good Pokemon, movepool is okay.
-This thing needs an evo, BADLY.
-Bad moves and stats.
-Very rare, and has derp stats and moves.
-See Granbull^
-Terrible moveset
-Good typing, bad movepool
-Only move it learns is present
Quite useless
-Novelty, frail as derp.

Average Tier
Spoiler:

-Vendor trash, yes. Reliable, yes. Learns good psychic moves.
-Not the BEST movepool, but its pretty useful and has nice typing. Although it learns Psychic at Lv. 65.
-Good specials, suck movepool. Vileplume is a better choice.
-Stats and movepool are middle of the pack, and its convenient to get.
-Easy to get, movepool is iffy, but its a pretty good Pokemon if you use it right.
-Rare, but good potential, teaching it psychic means it can rape bruno.
-Pretty good stats and moveset
-Good typing and moveset
-Good stats and typing, derpy movepool.
-Hard to obtain, not really worth it.
-Nowhere near as good as the other hitmons, but good for tactical use. You would have to hatch a Tyrogue egg to get Rolling Kick though.
-Stats are good, movepool is meh. Can stall a lot.

Offensive Specialists

Spoiler:

-High SpAtk, frail defense, overall very good.
-A top attacker, too bad its silver exclusive
-A Great Attacker, not easy to come by, good typing.

Defensive Specialists

Spoiler:

-All-Star defender
-Mostly Defensive, movepool is meh.
-Uber-Defender with decent attack, and good typing.
-King of Defense
-Good Defense and movepool
-A big wall, hard to take down

Prestige Tier

Spoiler:

-Stats are average, but its easy to obtain and reliable
-Great typing, good movepool
-Good stats and movepool, you're quite lucky if you have 2 gbc's to trade with though.
-Swords Dance + Slash is great in any gen, hard to obtain though.
-Good Typing and moves
-QUITE THE MOVESET ^_^
-Its moveset is sort of bad, its stats are decent, but its a DRAGON.
-Good stats, quite sturdy.

Bro Tier
Spoiler:

-Your starter is your bro.
-Your starter is your bro.
-Your starter is your bro.
-Easy to obtain, and a great electric type to have.
-Had to think hard about this one, considering rarity, but NOTHING dominates Johto as much as T-tar. It has beautiful typing and accsess to a lot of moves.

Also I need help, should I raise a Ponyta (I need a fire type) or a Naive Cranidos(as naive is +speed which Rampardos badly need)

OK, whoa! Dunsparce is pwn. At least in SGX he is.

Go with Cranidos.

My Dunsparce is still the same, btw.

I find Pidgeot to be an at least decent Pokemon in any other generation than 1. Here, Wing Attack only has 35 power, so the highest powered move Pidgeot learns by level is Quick Attack and its only other offensive options are recoil and 2 turn moves. And Rage, which is about the worst move in the game. Sure, Fly is good despite its inaccurary and there is Mirror Move (which I dislike in Nuzlocke runs, but it would maybe be an interesting option), but that just isn't enough.
With 60-power-Wing Attack and normal-type options like Return or Secret Power, Pidgeot is certainly a good in-game Pokemon to use outside of generation 1, but here it sucks.

I forgot to say all the others I had caught...

I had caught a Rattata, Hoothoot, and a Caterpie.

Anyway, I trained Dunsparce and Rattata until the level that Rattata learned Hyper Fang. Remind to never underestimate Rattata's Hyper Fang. He OHKOd Falkner's Hoothoot and 2HKOd his Pidgeotto.

My Team:
Raticate, Lv. 21
Dunsparce, Lv. 18

Their nicknames are gonna be Pari (If you know what that's a reference to, go you) and Ratty.

RIP:

All died while grinding.
