One last small update before the Elite 4:
Spoiler:

So, basically I just caught 2 Pokemon, grinded a few levels, and...

had a hard time in Victory Road, but no losses.
First, some guy with a Lairon gave me hell, but Tvrquil (Grumpig) managed to take advantage of its low Sp.D and take it down. Then, a Sandslash kept forcing me into switching by spamming crit Slashs. Mauro's (Exploud) Hyper Beam came in really handy here, without it the Ninetales that was sent out after the Sandslash would have been really dangerous, but that way it just got one-hitted.
Then, Wally. Altaria got some DDs, but Tumelo (Linoone) took it down anyways. A relatively easy Pokemon or two later, there was Magneton. Because of crit T-Bolt and parahax, Tvrquil (Grumpig) almost died here and I needed a Hyper Potion. Then, Gardevoir. Jimmy (Ninjask) just barely failed to OHKO it, and then Gardevoir did the same to Jimmy. 3 HP, whew... (Jimmie leveled up after killing Gardevoir, that's why there's 6 HP in the screenshot)

So yeah, I certainly have to grind more. And by that I don't only mean getting my current team to a decent level but grinding at least two other Pokemon up as well. I never filled up my sixth slot after the Kyogre battle, and Tumelo (Linoone) is not really suited for the Elite 4, although he's been awesome so far. I have to work a lot on Tvrquil's (Grumpig), Mauro's (Exploud) and Fajra's (Electrode) movesets, they are terrible. So Jimmie (Ninjask) is pretty much the only Pokemon I think I can leave as it is. Maybe I'll consider Dig>Double Team, but I'm not sure.

Not posting the team, they didn't change much. Everyone is level 45 or 46 now, and Jimmie (Ninjask) has learned Shadow Ball (forgot Slash, since AA was outclassing it anyways), and that's it.

Why don't you just go back to the Pokemon Center when your team is at low HP? Or grind more if every single battle is dangerous? When I played Brown that way, I only had 2 deaths that weren't caused by total bull, like walking into a trainer with 5 Pokemon >level 40 with my team being team in the low 30s or stepping into the final dungeon halfway through the game.
While one should certainly have Potions and Antidotes availiable at any time in a Nuzlocke, situations where one would have to use them should be avoided, for obvious reasons.

haha every battle isn't dangerous, i just keep forgetting to switch or its mostly lucky crits on my low lvl memeber. I'm constantly trying to get them higher. But my current team is doing fine so no idea what was going on earlier haha. I'll probably play through again after this one.

Massive update time. TL,DR:, picking up from where I left off (finished Slateport city for now, onto route 110) I have beaten Wattson, Flannery, and Norman. My team and RIP are at the end. I'll be adding the story so far in spoilers below.

Spoiler:

May We Battle?
I continued onto Route 110, and fought some trainers. As I progressed, I met up with May again, and we had a battle. Her Combusken gave me some trouble, but with careful switching I was able to take it down. The rest of her team (a Wailmer and a Shroomish) fell with no problem to Geico (who actually healed most of the damaged he sustained off the Wailmer with Absorb). She was gracious about the defeat, and in addition to the usual monetary reward I was given the Itemfinder. I immediately registered it, and found some small items on the ground around me. A few more battles and I finally reached Mauville City.

Welcome to Mauville City
Mauville city was a pretty interesting place. I talked to a few of the locals after healing at the Pokemon Center, and heard about the Game Corner and a man named Rydel. I decided to check the Game Corner out. It was essentially a huge casino, but used their own currency (with the very creative name "COINS"), but without a coin case they wouldn't let me play. And as it turns out, these cases aren't for sale. A man inside heard my plight, and told me to talk to a woman who lived by the Pokemon Center. I decided to visit her, and found out that she really wanted Harbor Mail. The problem? It was sold in Slateport City. I was more than ready to help her, but the trek back and forth was not something I was looking forward to. I decided to explore a bit around Mauville before heading to Slateport.

I eventually found a bike shop, where I met the man, Rydell, I had heard about earlier. Turns out he was a very nice and generous man. When he heard that I had traveled by foot all the way from Littleroot, he gave me a bike of my choice (between Mach and Acro) and the option to switch them out at any time! With my new Mach bike, I decided to head back to Slateport and buy the mail for the lady. On my way out, I checked out the Gym, and noticed that the leader, Wattson, used electric types. This likely meant dealing with the Magnemite family...and I had no way to deal with Steel types...but, thats a problem to be dealt with later!

Harbor Mail and Training
I got on my bike, and decided to use the Bicycle route to speed up the travel. On the route, I ran into a number of trainers, who used lower level Magnemite than I expected at the electric gym. A good test run, I battled them...and found that after each battle I had to go and heal at a Pokemon center. Even on Geico, who resists the electric attacks, a few Sonicbooms brought him inches away from death. Deciding to take the longer but safer route, after my last trip to the Mauville Pokemon Center I decided to use the regular route. I definitely need to train if I even stand a chance against Wattson.

I make it to Slateport, buy the mail, and return to the lady in Mauville. She gives me the Coin Case as thanks, and I return to the Game Corner. A lady gives me some coins to start with...which I promptly lose. Maybe this isn't the right thing for me...

I begin to plan out a strategy. I go to the west onto route 117, and decide to see what I could catch. I find a female Roselia (Flora, level 14). Again, no real help against a steel type. So I decide to raise my team a bit, using the trainers on Routes 117 and 118. I get Priscilla up to level 23 (evolving into a Kirlia and learning double team by this point), and Geico up to level 24. I then focus on getting Koi stronger. I decided to try training Koi by switching him early in battle, but a fellow trainer told me to use one of Devon's new inventions, an Exp. Share, to help it grow faster. I make the trip back to Rustboro, and talk to Mr. Stone, who gave me one as thanks for delivering the letter and the Goods. With it, I got Koi up to level 15, where it learned tackle and could start attacking weak wild pokemon. When it reached level 20, it evolved into a Gyarados, and learned Tackle and Bite. I knew Gyarados learned Dragon rage at around level 25, so I trained it up further, and sure enough it learned the attack! With the level of pokemon I would face here, that was sure to be a strong hit on those Magnemite! Trained and ready for battle, I headed back to Mauville City.

Wally and Wattson
Outside the Gym, I ran into Wally. He wanted to challenge the Gym, but his uncle was hesitant. He challenged me to prove he could do it. His Ralts had grown quite a bit, but sadly it wasn't enough. He left, saying he would train harder. I hope it works out well for him, he truly cares for Pokemon. But I had my own battles to worry about. I heal up and go in for my Gym challenge!

As expected, the Gym Trainers used Magnemites in addition to Voltorbs and Electrikes. Dragon Rage was a big help on them. The trainers where not too bad. I healed up, and got ready for Wattson.

He threw out a Magnemite first. I threw out Koi. He used Thunder wave while I used dragon rage, which brought Magnemite into the red. Wattson healed Magnemite while I used dragon rage to attack. This continued once more, until finally Magnemite attacked with a Thundershock, bringing Koi slightly below half health. Koi attacked and defeated Magnemite on that turn. A Voltorb was sent out next. I decided to send out Priscilla, who set up with 6 double teams and 6 calm minds, avoiding any damage. Once Confusion, and Voltorb fell. The last pokemon he threw out was...a Magneton. A fully pumped up Confusion barely did a third of damage to him. Fortunately for me, I got two Critical hits in a row, and Magneton fell. Yikes...had I not had some double teams up, or if Magneton had taken Priscilla out, my team would have fallen. Regardless, I won, and got the Dynamo Badge and the TM for Shockwave!

I didn't want to do too much because I wanted to be able to post pictures in my update, so this was a while back and I may be fuzzy with some details...

Anywhoozle...

Started grinding in the upper portion of Rt. 2, but then I realized Veridian Forest was way better thanks to :t014: and :t011: and the tanky amount of experience they give, whilst not being able to fight back. :pink_boogie:

So I did quite a bit of grinding in there, until everyone was Lvl. 10.

That means Twinrova evolved a few times. :t013::t014::t015:

Kaepora kept getting poisoned by :t013: though, I was getting worried...

We traveled back to Rt. 22 and faced Ganon. We won handily.

I figured more grinding was necessary before facing Brock, considering I had no moves that would do significant damage to his Pokes, and most of my team is weak to rock. So I trained until everyone was about Lvl. 12.

Faced Brock and basically stalled and took my chance to lower his :t095:'s stats while it was charging in bide.

We won!! Yay.

Pols Voice had a close call when I accidentally attacked during bide and left that battle with 1hp left. O_O Yikes...

Traveled east and beat all the trainers in Rt. 3, suspending my adventure there for now. (My Gameboy ran out of batteries)

My current team now consists of:
Spoiler:
Dodongo - Lvl. 13 ~ Scratch, Growl, Ember
Twinrova - Lvl. 14 ~ Poison Sting, String Shot, Fury Attack
Kaepora - Lvl. 14 ~ Gust, Sand Attack, Quick Attack
Pols Voice - Lvl. 14 ~ Leer, Tackle, Horn Attack, Poison Sting

R.I.P. :pink_cry:
Spoiler:
Gohma ~ Lvl. 3 - 4

Hey, chaos, I am your viewer ! I hope you get your updates up !
As for me... two updates for my Ultimate Nuzlocke Challenge !

SOUL SILVER : Whitney. Miltank. STOMP.

Yeah, yeah, yeahs ! Actually, two losses in one chapter, but an awesome new team member make up for it !
So, I head to Nat. Park. Along the way, I get a Nidoran M, which goes to the box... for now.
I battled all trainers. But I missed the Firebreather. That's when disaster happened.
Soul Eater was out, since he was slightly underleveled. Magmar uses Ember, Crit... *hit. It faints, one of my most awesome Pokemon is dead. As a response to this, I withdraw Bamf the Nidoran, which quickly evolved into a Nidorino. And he knows Double Kick.
I grind a little and take on Whitney with my team in their late 10's (18-19). I begin with Bamf...

VS. WHITNEY

Clefairy fell easily. Cute charm didn't activate. Hooray !
But then, Miltank comes along. With flinch Hax and stuff, I got her down to the red. When it used its Super Potion. gtfo >_>, whatever. Since Bamf was really low and I had no Potions left, I switch to The Shark. Same scenario happens. Then, I switch into Enzio. Yea, I was hoping for it to be quicker than Miltank, but.... two Stomps took him down. RIP, Enzio Auditore da Firenze...
I take her down with Pedosnucks. Whitney is down, but at what cost...?

So, I advance, Pokeathlon, etc. Today is the Bug Catching Contest ! ^_^ Let's see what will I get ... I run into a Butterfree ._. Can I catch it ? Sleep has it break free, again, and again, then it moves twice. The miracle is that it's still asleep. It breaks free again, again, again, again, again... ARRGH It's on the red and asleep.... And I caught it ! :> I won't win the contest, but I got an awesome new Confusion and status SPAMer... combined with the Sudowoodo I plan to get on my future update, this is so awesome !
And yeah, did I mention that The Shark evolved ? I forgot about this....

TEAM :

Wings :t012: Lv. 12 Confusion, PoisonPowder, Stun Spore, SleepPowder. Compoundeyes, Rash.
Pedosnucks :t096:Lv. 18 Confusion, Headbutt, Hypnosis, Poison Gas. Forewarn, Brave.
Bamf :t033:Lv. 19 Double Kick, Poison Sting, Peck, Leer. Poison Point. Calm (which sucks).
The Shark :t159:Lv. 19 Headbutt, Water Gun, Bite, Cut. Torrent. Docile (which sucks as well).

Boxed : Wooper
Dead : Togepi, Bellsprout, Gastly, Spearow.
RIP

Next : Sudowoodo as a next Member, Ecruteak, possibly surrounding places, with hopefully reaching sixth Gym Badge.
Well, okay. I'm here just to chat with people. Don't really care about signatures and stuff.

What's wrong with Croconaw being Docile? If I remember correctly, it does nothing, which is far better than getting your most important stat cut by 10%. In fact, neutral natures are among my favorites for Nuzlocke runs since my Pokemon often have mixed movesets (because a Gyara with Surf, Ice Beam, EQ and Return is better than a Gyara with EQ, Return, Strength and Hyper Beam) so I won't want to be any of my attack stats cut and having lower defense (since OHKOing everything only works in solo runs) and speed (unless the Pokemon a "mighty glacier", where -speed nature is the best thing that could happen) leads to more deaths.

Alright, so much for why I like neutral natures. For some reason I wrote a minor wall of text instead of just saying "What's wrong with neutral natures, I like them in Nuzlocke runs". Anyways, in my Sapphire run so far, I'm almost finished with grinding. The Elite 4 battles will happen today. The question is only whether they will lead to victory or to defeat.

Also, I got this:

Screw the rules. I was going to sell my last Ultra Balls anyways.

Nice find ! :O
And yeah, I am a bit against Neutral natures. Even though I don't really mind, it would've been for him to be Naughty or even Brave, as the Atk. boost is what I need. :>

POKEMON BLUE UPDATE

Pre-Sabrina. PWNd absolutely anything without problems. And got Fatass the Snorlax. Which rocks.
Of course, I smoked TR from Kanto completly, I really did.
I won't be posting boxed Pokemon, as they're unimportant. Some Pokemon are really suckish moveset-wise (The Queen still has Poison Sting... fail). Team :

Fatass

Awesomeness.

Charking

Epicness. Notice Ember... haha... !

Gyara

Win. Tackle.

Dr. Peck

Fly, Drill Peck, Double Edge, Swift.
Photobucket didn't get this. Ah, whatever. It has its Drill Peck. :-)

The Queen

Once again, it got screwed around. Horn Drill is obviously a filler.

Zappyshock

Will this thing actually learn a better electric type move ? I am quite pissed... :/

Next update : Sabrina, Koga, Blaine. Then, in the last updates, I'll include Giovanni and the Elite 4. Then, I'll move on with Ruby and once I am done with SoulSilver, I will continue with Platinum and wrap up my UNC.
Well, okay. I'm here just to chat with people. Don't really care about signatures and stuff.

Alright, as promised, I finished my Sapphire Nuzlocke today. It became a bit later than expected because of some irl distraction, but here it is, the final update. It was incredibly close. So did I win?

Spoiler:

MONDAYS SUCK'S WHALETASTIC SAPPHIRELOCKE FINALE

Yes, I actually decided to try the 6 Wailord thing. One, Alderic died while grinding to a Golbat that got an insane amount of hax, but I still got a full team up. The game gave me so many Wailmers, I felt like I was destined to lead them to glory.

So here is my team. The two remaining whales at the box were Murderer, which I refused to use, and another one with adamant nature.

I could easily afford, this Tumelo had gotten me about 20 nuggets in the immense grinding process, among other things.

Sidney was pretty easy. Most of his stuff died quickly, only the Shrifty annoyed me with Double Team spam. It did, however, have no grass moves, and Swagger helped me to OHKO it later with Strength, because I had all flutes.

(insert screenshot of Phoebe being defeated here)
I lost a lot of PP here, but apart from that no problem.

That damned Walrein. Tons of defenses and that damned Body Slam. Thankfully Sheer Cold didn't work becuase of me being level 54, or I would have lost Pokemon here.

Blizzard only missed once. Easy win.

Time for Steven.
Skarmory went down easily, but then suddenly:

What the hell?

Aggron then went down, and Cradily took its place.

And killed 2 of my whales before finally running out of Giga Drains and dying to Blizzards (they were amazingly accurate in this run, I had some luck there)

One dead Claydol later, it was Metagross time. I just barely failed to kill it, just to have it then....

...kill another 2 whales. It then went down while recharging, and I thought I had won.

...but then Steven sent out Armaldo. The thing that seem to get Ancientpowerhax in all of my runs.

This did, however not happen. It still did massive damage with Ancientpower, but in the end it died.

And, with my last Wailord, I enter the Hall of Fame.

HOLY CRAP OVER 80 HOURS

And the end. I finally did it. I actually won a Hoenn nuzlocke. So the third time WAS actually the charm.

The last survivor of these Elite 4 battles. Ava, who only joined the team after Alderic died an ugly grinding death. From Slateport city, the last area of my massive Wailmer fishing tour. Quite ironic, isn't it?
The other's movesets were the same by the way, they did have varied items though.

Special thanks go to Jimmie the Ninjask, Mauro the Exploud and the many, many others who made the somewhat gimmicky end of this run possible. A run with many ups and downs, and a great ending.

You win bigtime, congratulations! :) What a bizarre ending. I guess that's the joy of Nuzlocke though, anything and anything can and will happen!
Sapphire - Pearl - Fire Red - Soul Silver - Black
