i have an ideas to help stop as bots.

New users should have to have the first 5 - 10 posts they make confirmed by a moderator, this will make sure there isn't any more advertising spam or naughty content.

But that amount considering that PC gets loads of new members... All the mods would be overworked kinda then. And considering some places don't add to post count as well... Though, it is a good idea, it would drive the mods insane after a while... Feel free to prove me wrong, anyone, but that is how I see it.

Well you see, adbots are easily taken care of as soon as a moderator of one of the sections logs on and has the chance to ban them. It would be a really pain for staff to have to approve all those posts each day you see, it would also be a complete inconvenience for new members. With every 200 new members we get only about 1 or 2 of them would be an adbot. It's just something we need to deal with for the moment really and adding such a clause for new members would be very untidy, a lot of work and not to mention that new members would find it daunting and quite confusing for that matter.

However, we do have a sort of human verification system on sign up, so the ads you see currently could very well be someone doing it as opposed to a bot but I couldn't be 100% sure. Again though, not a great issue to staff as it's easily taken care of but I think we could find a better alternative opposing post moderations for new members.

Not to mention, it could create more of a mess if people kept posting again because their posts didn't appear. That often happens in approval / moderation-only forums, especially since they're new. Plus then the mods have to disapprove the posts anyway. So it's a nice idea but a bit of hard work and somewhat unnecessary. :c

I always wanted to see the Admin Panel. It looks real nice, considering the fact that I'm on Dimensional Rift. Also, 200 members a day is steep, no?
I've been on this forum for about 10 years now. You guys wanna see a rare badge? I got some rare badges.

Not really, considering that PokeCommunity currently shows up as the first result on a Google search of "pokemon forum".
