So I don't know about you guys, but I think we need to get a few more consistent tournaments going on around here. There are times where we have quite a few active tournaments/leagues, and others (like now) where there's nothing much going on at all.

This is an attempt to alleviate that. I plan on hosting weekly Wi-Fi tournaments as part of an official PC "tour", within which we can keep track of battler rankings and such. Each week, we can have a different theme to keep things interesting, such as monotype, roulette, NU/UU/Uber tourneys, ect.

So if anyone has any ideas/comments, or if you plan on participating, please post here. I think we'll get things going this weekend so let me know what you think before then!

That sounds really good, but I have one question.

How many people will the tournament hold?
8-16, depending on how much interest there is in a given week. I'm hoping to get 16 every week though :D

I'd suggest also thinking of a Doubles week, maybe a vgc rules week... a single-type tourney...

but this plan is definitely a beneficial one. I myself thought a month would be long enough to a full tournament due to a lot of spread out time zoned players. But perhaps with your pushing it i would think a weak or two should suffice.
My p0kemon 13lack Fr1end C0de<-mouse over it.
offering EV training for trades worth the time
pm if you can help a trainer out with...
Any flawless pokemon
pref Untrained but will take Trained as long as they are well trained and not fodder for my berriless bags
i am accepting clones at this point... got to rebuild a force so i can pass the time and relax on the GTS randoms.

I would be intrested if there is a shoddy side. Didnt jin-roh already do this though?
This will be just for wifi. We have community night for shoddy, which is basically the same thing, with the themed tournaments and what-not.

They're probably similar, but regular tournaments come and go. This will hopefully be a more official and steady weekly event.

This is only a good idea if I can use Rotom forms.
I'm sure it won't be a problem Mr. West.

Starting at 16 single elimination would be good until more people start participating. Give about three days for each round. People can post when they can be on and schedule their battle. If someone is inactive/can't complete their battle, disqualify them.

I've a lot of free time and tourney hosting experience so if you need help, gotcha covered.

I will join every tournament then.

This one is going to be weekly. With a different point system probably. Is it really that big of a deal? lol :/

No its not that big of a deal. you might have problems getting everyone to battle within a week becuase of diffrent schedules and time-zones.

Three days is plenty of time to schedule a match. If they have schedule problems, they shouldn't join.

I have a cool idea :D A prediction battle. The opponents tell each other what pokemon they have on their team and then it's a battle of predictions =D That would be so awesome :D:D
i already hosted a tournament like that, where you had five predetermined pokemon on your team.:)
