Go Orange! Go Big Blue! Fight! Fight!! BSU!!
Okay I'm done...

But to be serious, I do hope the Broncos can continue with to uphold the reputation they have earned for themselves. And not just because BSU is the most hyped sports related thing in Idaho... Considering I haven't been able to look much into it due to distractions, this closet football fan hasn't been able to do much research, but my hopes are up. They have pretty much made Boise bolder on the map so... yeah...

I'm soooo happy College Football is in full swing again. I can't even watch ESPN when we're in that sports drought season where Baseball is the only thing going on.

Go Ducks btw. I love me some UofO. We spanked New Mexico today, even though it WAS New Mexico. Watching the Oregon State game right now too.

My bro happens to be a HUGE Michigan fan too, they're rebuilding but looking good so far.

Also, College Football >>>> NFL Football. No doubt.

Well, the U of Minnesota Golden Gophers didn't lose to Middle Tennessee State. That's a shocker. Especially with how they've been playing the past few years. We shouldn't have fired Glen Mason. At least we had something that basically guaranteed we'd stay close in conference games and blow out opponents in the running game under Mason. Tim Brewster may be a good salesman/recruiter, but he sure could use a few lessons on not messing with a good thing if it works, considering he fired his offensive coordinator after a 1-11 season when it was the defense that was dragging the team down with a freshman quarterback setting single-season school passing records.

Other than that rant on the perpetually incompetent state of Golder Gopher football in my lifetime, I hope the Big Ten brings itself back more credibility with the fans of other conferences this season, which would have to depend on the conference champ not being picked to play in the National Championship game, meaning the rest of the Big Ten qualifiers would be moved up a bowl to play an opponent they may not be ready for.

TCU and Oregon State is on ATM, its so epic.
Anyway I think 2 of these 5 teams will play for the National Title-Alabama, Oklahoma, Boise State, Miami, and Ohio State.
Agreed, watching the game right now.

Miami and Ohio State are kind of long shots, but the rest are good picks. At least if Oklahoma doesn't choke tonight.

Ohio State is only a longshot because of how unpredictable the Big 10 can be. And they have a history of choking at some point.

okay. We came so close to beating LSU in the end. Pretty bad game but we were missing a ton of players.
UNC did surprisingly well for getting half their starters taken away. Goes to show that schools need to be smarter about recruiting violations.

Also, **** UNC. Go Duke.

Anyone else watching the Boise State/VT game? Damn it's intense, VT has a one point lead with 12 minutes left. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Boise so I hope they pull through.
Ive got it on right now, its getting down to the wire. :/ VT is at the 25 or so and getting ready to score again.

Great game.

Kellen Moore is soooo clutch. That was crazy.
oh man i thought BSU was done for. Whew. that was deffinatly worth all the hype. If Boise can run the table and beat Oregon State on the 25th they're in National Title consideration as far as im concerned.

Oregon State is pretty much their only competition for the rest of the year. The Mountain West stands no chance against them.

True, its still a bit of a letdown to see their season being basically judged by 2 games. Even if they run the table i don't see the BCS putting Boise in ahead of a 12-0 or 11-1 National Power like Texas, OSU, Bama, etc.

If the BCS were to STILL snub BSU after BSU ran the table the backlash from the college football community would be insane. Although I can see their chances being hurt if they slip and have even a close game against some weak ass MWC team.

I somehow don't see OSU or Texas running the table anyways. And Florida and OK looked way weak.

I certainly hope the BCS doesn't snub them, they deserve a shot for the title. But the BCS has done it before- Look at Auburn in 2006, 13-0 SEC champs, they got left out of the Title game. ( Not that im complaining, the UT-USC rose bowl was one of the greatest Title games ever in my opinion)

I agree with the OSU/UT run, they'll need somebody else to take a tumble first before they get to the title game, OSU is going to have to beat the U first. And Florida looked downright pathetic. I go to Miami OH, and we're frankly horrible. We could have won that game, minus the turnovers.

What to keep an eye on - ACC Week 2

It’s a big week for the ACC, so there’s plenty to keep an eye on. As the title indicated, here’s what to watch in Week 2:

1. Florida State and Miami’s rise -- or fall. This is it. The weekend that determines which one -- if either -- of the two former powers are ready to make a statement on the national level. The Seminoles have a chance at Oklahoma and Miami takes on No. 2 Ohio State. Both are road trips. If either or both of these teams lose, the buzz around the ACC will disappear faster than Greg Reid on a punt return.

2. Florida State cornerback Greg Reid. Samford did its best not to punt to Reid (smart move), but couldn’t avoid him the entire game. He fielded one punt, and that’s all he needed to score. With 8:17 remaining in the second quarter, Reid took a punt back for a 74-yard touchdown.

3. Georgia Tech’s pass defense. Much has been made of the transition up front to a 3-4 defense, but the Jackets’ secondary will be tested. Eight different Kansas receivers caught passes against North Dakota State, including Johnathan Wilson, who had six receptions.

4. How good is Tajh Boyd? FCS school Presbyterian has lost 15 consecutive games, so Kyle Parker could spend the second half of this game across the street in Kingsmore Stadium taking batting practice in preparation for his Colorado Rockies assignment next spring. Boyd should get plenty of playing time in this one.

5. Boston College quarterback Dave Shinskie. He threw two interceptions last weekend against Weber State and his job is in question heading into Kent State. Can he perform well enough to keep it, or will Frank Spaziani give Mike Marscovetra the reins?

6. Virginia’s offense vs. USC’s defense. Nine different UVA receivers caught passes against Richmond, Marc Verica threw for a career-high 283 yards, and the Cavaliers rushed for another 205. UVA rushed for over 100 yards just four times last year. Meanwhile, USC’s defense allowed almost 600 total yards to Hawaii.

7. Defenses in Winston-Salem. Both Duke and Wake Forest were successful in Week 1 under first-year starting quarterbacks, which indicates their offenses are in good hands. Whoever makes the stops in the first conference game will come out on top.

8. Virginia Tech receiver Jarrett Boykin. He’s had over 100 yards receiving in four of his last five games and needs 81 more to climb into eighth place in career receiving yards at Virginia Tech.

9. NC State receiver T.J. Graham. Heading into the season, Graham had just one touchdown reception for his career. After one quarter last weekend, he had three. Graham scored on 26- and 25-yard passes from Russell Wilson, gaining a career-high 96 yards on a career-high six receptions. He also had a 50-yard kickoff return.

10. Maryland’s passing game. The Terps threw the ball just five times against Navy, and coach Ralph Friedgen said it’s possible all three of his quarterbacks could play against Morgan State. Maryland has a deep, fast, talented group of wide receivers -- too good to be ignored.
ESPN

More Allegations against UNC. Geez.

Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green sold his Independence Bowl jersey to a former North Carolina football player who is also at the center of an NCAA investigation into alleged rules violations in the Tar Heels program, ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach is reporting.

It's a bit convoluted, but it's not good. Chris Hawkins, a former North Carolina defensive back, contacted several sports agents about their interest in representing North Carolina players in the NFL draft, according to a source. This investigation is far from over.

Bye week for the Tar Heels? Hardly.

Finally I can say something about this game!!! -only four days late....--shot-

This game was amazing. It totally snapped my mom's pessimism in two. She thought through the entire game that BSU was done for. That there was really no competition. I actually had to keep my excitement to a minimum. My dad put himself about an hour behind due to DVR and smoke breaks... But I went to my room and watched it there... and he hates it when I do that. It was so hard not to scream when they made that last score.... Especially because I was supposed to be trying to sleep, which I was. That was an amazing opener for the Broncos. I'm actually still buzzing a little.

And I was a Bronco fan before it was cool. XD I lived in Idaho 10 years and my mom's first job that first year? Boise State Student Union. I was always surrounded by the stuff so I took a liking to them fast.
