Hey everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a training hotspot or anything? I've just completed the 8th gym and I really need to prepare for the league and I'd like to do it fast as I can.

Any help provided would be great, thanks.

For me I train my Pokemons in victory road to level 50 or more before I challenge the elite four.

Yeah, I intend to do that. But when they reach level 60/70 training can take a while.

That's only useful for training Grass/Electric type pokemon though. Thanks anyway.

Try to get a Lucky Egg to speed up grinding. I would just keep grinding with the VS Seeker. It seemed to work for me.

Right outside Sunnyshore there's a Lopunny trainer who gives out tons of exp.

Try that?

Otherwise the highest level spot where each Pokemon has a type advantage, or Victory Road.

When I'm done EV training a Pokemon, and if it's at a high level, I go to Route 223 to train against the Tentacruel there (they give out 1000+ EXP there).

This may sound unorthodox to some, but sometimes I train on the league itself to prepare for the league (if I'm not doing a Nuzlocke Challenge, anyways). I'll use all of my money to buy Revives+Full Restores or Max Potions, then fight the league over and over to train my pokemon. Even when all my pokemon faint, they've still gained experience from fighting the league's pokemon, plus I've gained some more cash to buy more Revives+Full Restores or Max Potions; since I already spent all of my money, the only money I have to lose is the money I gain from the league members I'm able to beat, and even then I only lose half the money ^_^
I only start training on the league after I've trained on Victory Road, and it starts taking a while for my pokemon to gain levels.

This, there's a small chance that a wild Chansey will be holding one.

I like doing this at times, but I'm a money-freak and get scared I'll lose too much.

Really, it's hard ot train in DPPt at times. For pokemon lower than level 40 I'd use that route that takes you from Veilstone all the way to Pastoria. Just vs. seeker there like crazy. The guy w/ the eevee evos and the other one w/ the grass/bug pokemon give out mad exp.

For higher level pokemon it gets a little tougher. That water route works, and so does the route taking you into Sunnyshore at times. Other than that it's HARD as heck to find good battles. Well for me it is.

Thanks for all the advice guys, some of you certainly know some training hot-spots. I'm okay now I've reached the league, I can get plenty of training in the league and through Stark Mountain. But seriously, thanks again, much appreciated. :)

Since you're pre-Elite Four, this is what I'd do: mess around with the Vs. Seeker until you find a decent trainer to battle, and just keep fighting them when you do. If you're training a Water-type, look for hikers; if you're training a Fire-type, head over to the base of Mt. Coronet/Snowpoint City and try taking on the trainers there A Lucky Egg is a must no matter what you do. They're tricky to find, but I'm sure someone has one to spare.

Oh, and this is kind of specific, but there's a scientist just east of Pastoria that I use for EV training. Even if you're not EVing, he's got two Alakazam that always gave me a ton of EXP. Otherwise, I can't think of any specific trainers that are available pre-Elite Four.

Edit:

I usually put a dozen buses on the ground. After that, I scoop the shuttle in the air and practice my backhand. You can place the shuttle near the net in practice and break the baseline for practicing your drives and erases.

My way of training is by doing the league over and over again at Pokemon Platinum.

Eheheheh.

I was kind of scared of the Elite Four so I always asked my brother to do it for me, even though I pretty much had trained the pokemon to Lvl. 90. =_="

Even so, I would just run around and complete the pokedex sort of. So I trained and did the pokedex at the same time.

i trained my pokemon for 1 week just to prepare for the elite four. or you could challenge them. when you lose, you still get to keep the experience points you gained. just bring an amulet coin to make up with lost money

Victory Road and the trainers in it are your best bet, unless you go to the side of the Sunnyshore city with a VS seeker.

this is actually good advice, cause there are some strong Gyarados, and you'll be able to beat them. Those Gyarados give you 3000 exp. each.
That's where i trained all of mine to lvl. 65!
